Our group is all taking daily maintenance doses of CDS. One of our group members here, there mother and sister, who live in New Orleans, both got sick, after having a fever and cough. They where tested and sent home Saturday. We started them Sunday on CDS virus protocol and where feeling better in a few hours, after about 6 hours they felt fine, no fever or cough, just a little tired. The next morning they both were feeling very well, like they normally do. Today they got there tests back, both positive.

They are both now taking a six drop maintenance dose every night, like us.

I'm not just a believer in CDS, I'm now an advocate. What's realy great is there has never been any serious side effects in the 30 years this has been used when the recommended protocols where followed and the lethal overdose amount is less than aspirin.

Lilgurlblue, not sure where in NC you are located but things in my area (Raleigh) are rather calm. Stores are mostly stocked with lots of food available so we are not seeing any panic (except when it comes to the "golden" toilet paper). While I don't see any reason to panic, I have had conversation with my neighbors regarding protection. Need to know who is armed and who needs extra protection, in necessary. (Like the little old lady behind my house, I was concerned until she pulled out a nasty looking handgun and grinned when I asked if she knew how to use it. Don't want to mess with her! )

I also own a house on the other end of the state (Kannapolis, near Concord), which will eventually be my retirement place. Wifey and daughter is living there getting the place fixed up for our eventual retirement. Things seem to be the same in that area. Stores are generally stocked with food and people behaving themselves. Again, wifey has talked to neighbors about protection. She knows who she can count on if necessary. We have gradually been adding to our food stockpile. Just somewhat short of fresh veg and fruits. That is available, just don't want to risk a trip when we have lots of alternatives,

I was reading an article about how some of the reason for the toilet paper shortage is not necessarily due to panic buying, but also because of the supply chain. Basically people who would be "going" at places other than their homes are not - they're staying home. So the demand for the toilet paper that is sold for home use has gone way up (legitimately, not just because one person decided they needed 10 packages at once). Meanwhile, the demand for commercial toilet paper like you see in public restrooms is way down and there's actually a surplus, but no one wants that for their home.

There wasn't much meat either. All the baking goods such as flour, yeast, and sugar were gone. All store brand cake mixes, cookies and brownies gone, only some name brands left. Some butter but small quantities of name brand only. All the rice was gone. All store brand of canned peaches and pineapple gone. There was plenty of bread, milk,cheese and eggs. The only thing I went to get was some more eggs. We have three hens and some more chicks coming on June 1.

I have plenty of TP but ordered a bidet so I don't have to worry about getting any for a long time.

I live out in the county in an unrestricted subdivision. I have been prepping since 2012 and my daughter seems to think we have about 2-years worth of supplies. In 2010, I added a wood stove to my house and it heats the whole house as well as cooking when the power is out. I am in a pretty good situation as far as self defense goes and I am trained in the use of firearms due to my job. I'm also essential and going to work everyday.
I have a big garden started and plan on having lots of fresh veggies in a few months but if my garden does poorly, I still have a lot of vegetables in my freezer from last year. I have apple, pear, fig, and plum trees, blueberry, kiwi, grapes. for fruit this summer. and just ordered elderberry and blackberry.
I just keep feeling a sense of urgency almost like I need to hurry to get things done. I am very fortunate in that I had my preps well stocked when this pandemic hit. I was watching it back when it first broke out around Dec.31. The only thing I really didn't have was disinfectant spray.

That seems like your well prepared. CDS can be used as a disinfectant, just the sodium chlorine is used for that and it's safe on meat and vegetables. Chlorine dioxide solution is CDS and it's the version that you drink to treat viruses, bacterial infections, parasite, diseases , etc...

So glad you found us LilGB! You sound prepared and mentally ready. Been feeling the same way. Checking and rechecking my stocks and other supplies. We are fortunate that we do have some time to get extra supplies. Needed those for my animals with backup seeds to plant just in case. Stay safe out there!

little town in central Georgia. our town looks like a ghost town with all the little shops closed. ppl not getting to work scares me. I'm an ins. agent so I still go to the office and watch as ppl still drive up thinking they can walk in. Nope read the sign Please Call Lobby Closed. mad cause I can't open the door. but for the life of me why are some families still exposing their children!?!? our Ingalls grocery was stocked for the most part (i only shop 2 times a mth, hated it before really hate it now) although certain brands of items like egg and cheese they are no longer selling. Eggs $6 dz. time to build a hen house. Our community lost a 15yro girl Monday to the virus. it finally really hit home to the seriousness of this. My 18 yr daughter works a pizza place and she said you won't believe the ppl that are still lining up at the drive thru and getting nasty about the wait, If I every see the hag that made her cry my Social Distancing will mostly likely not matter, And she will think twice next time and just cook at home for all those grown kids she's riding around with. -sorry for the rant-

The one thing I think about is how or what you could do to protect your animals if sh*t really does hit the fan. I have a screened in back porch and thought that it could be a good place to keep the chickens. They are currently in a large fenced area with a coupe for roosting and laying eggs but it is about 25 yards from my house.
My seed supply is pretty good and will let some veggies go to seed in the Fall. I'm having the hardest time growing sweet potato slips. I hope I get some planted this year!
I'm also planning on trying this when it gets cooler. --->
Its a great idea for apartment preppers or for people that don't have space for a garden.

What we are finding is Food Lion seems to one of the least stocked stores. Maybe that is because it is headquartered in NC so people head there first (that and Walmart). But, my local Food Lion seems to be the one that restocks the TP fairly often. Myself, I have a sufficient supply but if I come across some, I will grab it for my neighbors, especially the ones with kids that always needs more. In addition to TP, I also have a good supply of paper towels, Napkins and facial tissues, all which can be used once someone was out of TP.

Next time I am driving thru Alamance Co on 85/40 (maybe this weekend), I will be sure to honk the horn. So that fool you hear honking the horn out there, just may be me.

Hang in the HGL! This too shall pass. Lots of people are raising hens now. If you want some you are going to have to get on that ASAP or there absolutely won’t be any to get until closer to fall. It takes 16to 25 weeks for a chick to grow and start laying...dependent on the breed of chicken.

That is so tragic about the 15 yr old Wonder if she had any other physical problems?

When I get upset and anxious I sit down in a quiet spot and spend some time with God. It very much helps me...

I had to go out today so included a trip to Walmart in it. The place was busy but there was no wait at the door. A guy keeps you separated from others so you wait till the last person gets thru the vestibule. Most of the store was stocked fairly well. Even the meats were ok. There are limit signs on most isles now though, and of course no TP in sight. I really didn’t need any groceries but still managed to fill up a buggy. I wanted a couple more gas cans mostly. I was surprised at how many people were driving. With so many businesses closed, I wonder where they were all going... I still only saw about 20% of the people with masks. The cashier at the self check out was wearing one. That was the first time I saw an employee with one. She said Walmart provides them now but it’s optional. I told her it was smart (thru my mask of course). The main reason I went out was to get a custom color of oil base paint for the guys to finish a new light pole they installed. The guy at the paint store said he is doing a good business. Overall it looked pretty good and normal considering we are under a stay at home order still. All the drive thru windows at the restaurants seemed busy. Eating out is the thing I miss the most! I will probably break down before long and get a to go order from somewhere before long.

Can't pick up for 7 days. By that time half of what I ordered probably won't be there but we shall give it a shot. Walmart was worse than that and I could not get a pickup slot for even longer. Just wanted a little fresh fruit and some fresh dairy if I could get it. Kroger is now only open Monday through Thursday. And first thing in the morning for the elderly on those days. We just do not seem to be getting much. My husband suspects that they are funneling more food to more densely populated places such as cities to keep the violence and rioting at bay figuring that we all grow our own maybe.

We still only have 2 confirmed cases in our county and they have not even done 100 tests yet. So I suspect they are out there just not being tested for whatever reason.

There are almost a hundred cases now in my county and 7 deaths. I'm not leaving the house without a mask unless I'm going straight to the office and locking the door when I get there. I have seen more cars on the road again these last couple of days. I think people are getting tired of the restrictions and want things to get back to normal. On the other hand, it looks like the social-distancing is working and the new prediction models based on continued social distancing look a lot better.

That is a nice idea, especially to apartment dwellers looking for some kind of food to harvest. . . have one member in mind that my like it. I hope you repost this in the Garden 2020 thread so it doesn't get lost with all of the coronavirsus discussion.

I am not too concerned with going out as much now. We know it’s out there in our communities now, so if you do go out just follow universal precautions. A mask, and not just cotton, is mandatory. I allready wear glasses so haven’t opted for goggles or a face shield. If I was a care giver of sick patients I would wear them though. Gloves are a good idea but hand sanitizer is ok too. #1 is be aware of where your hands are at all times. Of course keep distance from others and be wary of coughs and sneezes. When I go out I use my left hand for clean things only and my right hand touches anything I feel might be contaminated. So, my right hand pushes the buggy in the store and picks up products. My left hand touches my wallet and card, car door handle, keys, etc. I use the wipes at the store and hand sanitizer often. I still think minimal travel is a good idea too of course. I also change clothes as soon as I get home, as well as separating groceries out on the counter and disposing if the bags. I of course put away the cold stuff but I leave the other products on the counter for three days before putting them away. I know there is a risk with going out, but remember that even doctors and nurses working in ER’s and ICU’s can work reasonably safely and not catch the virus. Just take precautions and for gods sake, wash your hands more than you ever have!

On the way to the pharmacy , stopped by a roadblock of several gendarmes demanding to see our paperwork! They were angry that the date was incorrect. Threatened us with 200 euro fine each. Bunch of Nazis taking over. This is just the beginning of the erosion of our rights to free movement .

When I went to the nursery on Tuesday, it's a 3 hour drive one way, everything looked normal to me. Looked to be the same number of cars on the road as far as I could tell, and the same cows. The nursary was well stocked on seeds. The only thing they were short on was fruit trees and berry plants. And that was because of the time of year, not the flu scare.
I stopped at Home Depot too and the only difference was they only had one door open. Since I was in the big city (pop 6000) I took advantage of the larger grocery store. They seemed to be well stocked with everything, including TP. They had what I wanted anyway.

Now the government has decided that one of my prescriptions is a controlled substance, why I don't know. So now the doctor's office can no longer call in a prescription. I have to drive clear across town, go into the doctor's office (which I consider one of the most hazardous places you can be right now) and pick up the prescription, take it to the pharmacy, and then come back to the pharmacy when it is filled. All while we are under a shelter-at-home order not to do any unnecessary travel. We really are living in a bad episode of The Twilight Zone.

15 days ago I bought something at Sears online. It was supposed to arrive today. When it didn't show up, I called. They said they don't have it in stock. Website said in stock 15 days ago, or I wouldn't have wasted my time. Now they say they don't know when they will have one to ship to me. I'm guessing it will come from China, in about 6 months, MAYBE, probably not. So I cancelled the order. Another hour of my time wasted, on top of the 15 days, having to call three different places just to cancel the order. I used to like Sears, but they have done so many crazy things, like mail me a box with a chop saw only. No Styrofoam around it, no paper work, just the saw floating around in the box. Holes punched out of the box, bent handle. One time the sent me a 1 1/8 wrench in a 48"x6x6 box..... a wrench..four foot box..

I officially hate you now Sears! You are like a third world country. F YOU!

I am truly humbled today. There is an elderly lady in her 80's that shares a back fence line with us. She has lived on this road all her life. Widowed and on Social Security she worked in the textile mills her whole life. She grew up on this road and her father was a coal miner. We have always tried to look out for her. Hubby has done a few odd jobs to help her out in the past and we check on her regularly as her family lives away. So hubby is on the back property line weed eating. He comes in the house carrying something and lays 2 gallon ziploc bags of dried pinto beans in my lap. This lady who probably lives on $600.00 a month, unaware that I have food enough to feed her for years, is sending over food to us over the back fence. I am touched. In a time when the world is turned upside down just a simple act of kindness can bring so many things into perspective.

EDIT: The State of Emergency was extended to May 13th, but the Stay at Home Order is still through April 30th.
