week 26 day 1

I ended up making 2 meals yesterday since we are planning on getting some hay today. Made lentil soup with sausage and Streuselkuchen ( its more like a sweet bread) and had a little bit of that yesterday
also had a piece of toast with peanut butter and an apple

It's not really that hard to not eat junk if you don't have any in the house, so the diet really starts at the grocery store LOL. But with prices for chips and such lately we can't afford to eat junk any way. It's actually much cheaper to eat healthy , believe it or not. Rice, beans , cabbage, carrots and even chicken you cook yourself are still relatively cheap. But when you buy processed things, snacks, large pieces of beef and such, prices go up a lot

got to hike this afternoon after the rain stopped and chores were done for the day. seen 4 deer and bunch of crows...no pinches etc. ....life is good !

hiked today...it was 62f....i was hot and sweaty for real today....lol...i timed myself back to truck today...17 minutes all uphill coming back...fastest time has been 16 minutes..not that i timed it very much...i think i could have been much faster today in all honesty as my tongue wasnt hanging out....i am not after speed was just curious...feeling pretty strong.

one day at a time.....

oh doing the curls i am getting stronger for sure again..do 80 a day.

week 26 day 3

doctor says losing weight will help my foot , so I need to start swimming again and sticking to diet better

LOL but not today! Made enchiladas with lots of cheese . They were actually pretty good even if I am not that fond of Mexican. Green enchilada sauce, flour tortillas ( all I had) , ground turkey with spices, onion , garlic , cilantro, cheese, topped with pickeld jalopenos , avocado, chopped tomatoes and sour cream. Total calorie bomb , but I doubt I will eat anything else today except maybe an apple

week 26 day 4

spicy Korean chicken with rice, cuke and carrot salad ( I finally have a new bag of carrots , non recalled ones...), spinach and plantains . The plantains actually go pretty good with Korean food. I bought them to make cuban food, but they look like they need to be used today
Plus some sort of soup , probably soup #1

hiked.....seen 4 deer and 2squirrrels....started raining when i got back to truck...felt strong...i take it. cold next few days then warm back up.

week 27 day 1

not going to weight myself today, after all that cake I ate LOL

Today Kimchi stew and rice

and then I am baking some more calories, cookies! Sometimes I think the older I get , the more I get enjoyment out of baking and cooking, since there are so many things ( like skiing ) I can't do anymore....not good for my weight however . Everything I used to enjoy most took off calories, now the baking adds calories

That's what makes you inspirational, you struggle like the rest of us! You have goals and have made progress!!

Hiked....felt strong and sweated some..its 38f...seen a few crows and one lone deer in a briar bramble patch eating and 3 deer in a meadow for total of 4...no squirrel today.

I hiked too, we only see birds and an occasional rabbit if Otto finds one ( but he has not caught one , only Rosie can do that out of all our dogs, she is the only hunter)

It was sort of wet fog out, but not too cold .

My leftover turkey and dumplings turned out really good, I liked it even better than regular chicken and dumplings, probably because the broth tasted so good after cooking the turkey carcass in it for a few hours . No more turkey left now

week 27 day 6

I am out of turkey ( and cookies LOL) so today I am making broccoli and asparagus salad with pork. It's a cold salad with the pork cut up and fried first. Salad has broccoli, steamed asparagus, cucumbers, onions and garlic in it. Dressing: mayo, lemon juices seasoning
Plus French onion soup
