so I was bad today again, instead of the soup, we just had Austrian pancakes with peaches
Calorie bomb, but I felt like I needed something sweet
but the Asian chicken salad was good. When my inlaws were still alive, the MIL liked to take us out to eat to Applebees. I am not even sure they still exist but they used to have this Asian chicken salad I really liked. So I figured out how to make it.
here is my recipe
shred some red and green cabbage ,a lot like for cole slaw. I pour boiling water over it, so it is not so hard, and to wash of any stuff on it. Shred a carrot or 2, chop some celery, some green onions, garlic, ginger , and a cut up a head of iceberg lettuce.
dressing: a cup of mayo, some soy sauce, some sesame oil, about quarter cup of honey, rice vinegar, some hot sauce, salt, pepper
then just add breaded fried chicken strips on top , plus toasted almonds, and either Lo Mein noodles or rice noodles ( those you can get in the Asian section at the store but you can leave them out too)
I think mine is actually better than the restaurant one, I improved the sauce
