Oh I hate ticks!!
Sure wish I could find legit natural detergent for them. They love to get me.
I got the creeps now thinking about them 😂
I haven't tried or needed it for ticks but I use Tea Tree Oil to prevent mosquitoes and chiggers. It's worth a try. Buy a bottle of isopropyl alcohol, the one with the spray top if they have it, and pour in Tea Tree Oil to get about a 30% mixture of oil to 70% alcohol. I think the last time I needed it the spray bottle had 10 ounces and the bottle of oil was 3 ounces so I just topped off the spray bottle and after using a few times added the rest of the oil into the mix. Shake before use and mist it over any exposed skin and on your shoes/boots and clothing.

This worked great for camping in Michigan and by the 3rd night everyone else would line up after dinner to be misted because their store bought stuff wasn't working. I would also mist the grass around my chair and I would have a mosquito free zone. It might be worth a try to spray grass and bushes to get rid of ticks. It is cheap and if you can move them elsewhere it will help you relax when outdoors.

good afternoon everyone!

Decided to try something new. I poured a small dose of colloidal silver onto a piece of bread and fed it to the pup. I killed heart worms in a dog using colloidal silver a few years ago.

But I know for a fact it has an effect on ticks, kills them. Going to see if it has the same effect on the dogs.
Mix a little fresh garlic into the dogs food every day and the (hard for human to detect) smell oozing out their skin will repel mosquitoes and ticks. We never had a problem with either once dad learned that trick.

Howdy @SheepDog! How’s your day going?
It's going better than I expected. Up at 4 restless sleep and had trouble moving. I took a couple aspirin connected with the news. Walked a bit and stretched a lot. My back was complaining but no cramps so I figured at 9:00am I would try to get some sleep. After three hours I got up feeling much better and got busy. all of a sudden it was 4:00pm and time to start dinner. My day is way off but starting to come back into sync. Everyone is getting some dinner - Spanish rice and I should eat too. I don't get the rice but the ground round mix is good.
Back in a bit!
