Sort of funny today. Got my eyes dialated at the VA. 1.5hrs later all done. My vision ok, still a little sensitive to sunlight. As I get on the interstate I merged into traffic behind a garbage truck, being towed by a large wrecker. 4pm, rush hour traffic really picking up in Birmingham AL

I thought, no one wants behind a garbage truck. This is perfect! No one will get between me and the wrecker. He was running the speed limit so I set my cruise and followed, for 26 miles. A nice relaxing drive.

I followed at a safe distance and not one driver got between me and the empty garbage truck. Never touched my brakes once... the other 2 lanes were bumper to bumper. 🤣

@LadyLocust let's see...you're off to bed, that's smart. I came home from work and relaxed enough to close my eyes, I may have fallen into twilight. Fixed dinner, chatted with daughter. Went to store to pick up some stuff, you know, essentials like ( @Terri9630 ) Dr. Pepper, water, pistachios, sunflower seeds to eat, and a few other items. Back home, thinking how tired I am. Was up late last night because someone was out late and once someone comes home, dog will bark like burglars are breaking in, so I stayed up. So that's part of my boring life and why I don't post my details most of the time.
The day of the tornadoes I got my eyes examined. Vision is no worse from a year ago.

Your life is fine!! Like your vision!😃 And keep eating Pistachios! And stay up for the ones starting their life, they are no different then we were!!😀

@Double R in the weather thread you were talking about driving along back country roads...reminds me of my home states.
In this area of Texas, people ya don't know will wave at ya, guys hold doors open for females. I don't know if they're like this everywhere here in TX, but this little pocket is friendly enough for me. True there are all kinds and some not so nice...
I think you'd like it here, but maybe not. Enough livestock auctions, farm equipment, veterinarians. Out past Wichita Falls and by Vernon, ya might find a big place. Even Comanche, Dublin, DeLeon...But don't go to Brownwood!

Gold just hit $2000 an ounce this morning, oil is up to $122 per barrel and the stock market is dropping. Expect to see prices really start soaring now. Theres no relief in site, as long as Biden and his gang of idiots are running things.
I heard about this on the radio tonight. This is one of the news reports I found and it doesn't sound goo unless you own stock in lithium.

"After more than quadrupling in value last year, lithium carbonate continues to soar in 2022, according to Benchmark Mineral Intelligence. The mid-March assessment by the battery supply chain research outfit shows that battery-grade lithium carbonate (EXW China, ≥99.5% Li2CO3) is averaging $76,700 a tonne, up 10% over just two weeks and 95% since the beginning of the year. A year ago, the commodity was trading at $13,400 a tonne.
The rally in lithium hydroxide, used in high-nickel content cathode manufacture, is accelerating, up 120% so far this year, narrowing the discount to lithium carbonate, which historically is priced below hydroxide.
Benchmark says that Chinese inventory levels for hydroxide, carbonate, and spodumene feedstock remain very low, sustaining the high price environment:"

I actually like hearing such things ~ makes me feel more normal when I wake up, do laundry, go to work, go home, cook dinner, sit for a few min. then off to bed - tomorrow repeat.

Pearl,
go to bed and get some rest!
(hug)

Hi DoubleR
I will be hitting the hay in about an hour or three. I have to be up early again tomorrow to take my wife to laser surgery.

How are you doing? The hunt continues?

Remember if you don't take care of yourself you won't be in shape to take care of anybody else.
I think your relationship is wonderful!. It reminds me of my house.:)

Doing ok. Just got the call a few hours ago that tractor work is needed at two of the facilities so I’ve been working on getting everything loaded. Going to be a race to get everything done before fire season now. Fires are already popping up left and right around here. Small ones but still fires. Went from no mowing to mow it all in just two weeks. So got a lot of brush pile moving and mowing all of a sudden. Probably have to take a couple saws too.

The hunt does continue. The prep does too. Trying to be patient but it’s hard 😉
