Yep! blessed we are! I have had two very good days - nearly pain free. It's wearing off a bit but not crashing like usual. I think it is going to continue through tomorrow at least. I just feel like it is time to finally heal - completely.

Hi Patchouli.
Being a mother can really suck but it can be really nice too. ;)

DoubleR, I think the creator wants me to get better already. We talk often and it was during one of our talks that I got, "30 years old in perfect health"... It sounds like I have a rooting section. :)

My two girls have turned out well - so have the two boys. Still waiting for my youngest (girl) to find a man she can trust and respect enough to marry. ;)

Good night and rest well. :heart/flower

Good night DoubleR! sleep well. 😘

@Double R in the weather thread you were talking about driving along back country roads...reminds me of my home states.
In this area of Texas, people ya don't know will wave at ya, guys hold doors open for females. I don't know if they're like this everywhere here in TX, but this little pocket is friendly enough for me. True there are all kinds and some not so nice...
I think you'd like it here, but maybe not. Enough livestock auctions, farm equipment, veterinarians. Out past Wichita Falls and by Vernon, ya might find a big place. Even Comanche, Dublin, DeLeon...But don't go to Brownwood!

I have family in the Dublin area. Love it there but my allergies are to bad.

Doing ok. Just got the call a few hours ago that tractor work is needed at two of the facilities so I’ve been working on getting everything loaded. Going to be a race to get everything done before fire season now. Fires are already popping up left and right around here. Small ones but still fires. Went from no mowing to mow it all in just two weeks. So got a lot of brush pile moving and mowing all of a sudden. Probably have to take a couple saws too.

The hunt does continue. The prep does too. Trying to be patient but it’s hard 😉
Be careful and stay hydrated DR

How are you doing today, @Double R ? Have you been out pushing cattle today?
I’m exhausted. 45 min sleep was all I got. Been on the tractor mowing and moving brush most of the day. Haven’t even checked the cows. Mowed Until belts blew. Now working on fixing the tractor so maybe I can get some mowing done at an aunts house before dark.
Did you have a good day?

It was different as far as work is concerned, a good day overall. Seriously wondering how a fire gets started if there’s no lightning, there is a burn ban in place, etc.
Sorry to hear you have so much of that to do alone. @Double R Sounds exhausting anyway, add heat.

There is a lot of arson at times. Friend of mine was a Forester and went around the country at times fighting fires. He said lightning was #1 cause, arson #2.

If not with my hubby these days I’m alone. I’ll be able to rest when we’re moved 😉

It's like that around here, too. (High plains - Panhandle region)

A few years ago, the son of an old friend of mine from Bryan came up to work for a while. He was riding with me when I went over to the pharmacy in the next town over to pick up a prescription. We pulled up to the drive-up window at the pharmacy, the pharmacist told me the amount, I paid it, and the pharmacist handed me my prescription -- all without asking my name.

That really impressed the friend of mine's son.

Why not Brownwood? I've only been there once and that was just to get a bite to eat so I don't know anything about the town.

One little town I like is Gorman. I've been there many times, usually just passing through, and have had nothing but good experiences there. The people I have met there are, without exception, really good people. It would kill my allergies to live there, though.
