Thanks for everyone for the well wishes. Here is my granddaughter Devon, who was delivered at 8 months, since mom developed cholestasis. All is healthy and the plumbing is working just fine. As far as my sister, the news is not so good. She is still in the hospital, heavily sedated, and trying to decide if anything else could be done to prolong her life.

I'm so sorry about your daughter. My wife and I prayed for her, baby, and rest of family last night and this morning. Sounds like it's more in God's hands than the doctors.
You've a beautiful granddaughter to enjoy. Let me tell you they hold a special place in our hearts.
Please don't lose heart. You have loved ones all around you. Let me know if I or anyone here can help.

Reminds me on pics of myself and my sister, we were 8 years apart. In some ways it made us closer as there was less direct competition for material items you see between siblings who are closer in age. In other ways it made us further apart as I was an adult doing adult thing while she was still in school. As adults we have a pretty good relationship but definitely live our own lives.
