This song and many other of his works has a special meaning.. The father in law I never got to meet sailed Lake Superior as a young man with the Canadian Coast Guard.. He retired as a master light house keeper on the west coast of British Columbia..

My favorite song of his is his Rail Road Trilogy.. At about 4 minutes it goes .....over the mountains, over the planes, into the muskeg, into the rain, up the St. Lawrence all the way to Gaspa..... Canadian Pacific Railroad..
