So this happened in California ??
First I'm surprised there was a gun store allowed to exist there..
Then surprised the way California seems to operate that the owner and everyone else in sight wasn't arrested and charged with a bunch of things, for instance, ..violating the perpetrators rights and such... Also.. Not yet but it eventually seems someone always comes along saying things like ...he was a good boy... just trying to make a living... and other nonsense.. When this person entered the store he was a thug.. And got what a thug deserves for his actions..
Don't get me started..

Around here it was either the sewing room or the kitchen, and if you stand up to pee, you ain't welcome! I swear both mom and my aunt have every piece of cutlery position memorized or mapped out! As a kid, if you heard:
"Who's been in the China cabinet?" Every male and kid in the house froze like a deer in headlights! And god help you if you heard "Who left this dish here?"

HELL YEAH! Now where can I get a piece of rail that won't send me to jail?
They replace the rails every now and again. Do you know anyone that works for the railroad? You might ask around the maintenance yard. A recycler near a railroad might have some. I've driven by a railroad where that section of line was being rebuilt

Maybe@ Spikedriver can toss a 6 foot section in the mail to ya, lol.

Trying to walk out of the room with the cord all tangled up just wouldn't work - it had to be untangled first.
That's why we had a wall mounted phone (we probably used 3/8" lag bolts about 4" long). You could tug to your hearts content on that phone's cord and the phone stayed put. The phone was mounted in the kitchen with a really long cord - we could span across the dining room and into the master bedroom with it. Or head outside to the patio. The new Chinese phone cords would surely wither and die under such abuse. But those old Bell Company phone cords - they must have had about 1800 lbs of tensile strength. And the hand piece itself? You could pound nails with the thing with no damage to the phone.
