They saw the horses, cattle, and old trucks when they drove down the road to look at the place! It will be interesting the first time they experience wild hogs!!
I got rifles for those :p. Then it's time for a pig pullin :p

Maybe show em' your collection of black widow spiders.......they might think the city is OK after all. At least cockroaches don't bite. At least I don't thnk so.....not very familiar with them.

One of our 'neighbors' across the road got a life time stint in the pokey. Friggin' child molester, of a family member no less. Bub....bye! THAT is exactly why I don't want any more neighbors......you never know what you're gonna get. So, I'd rather have NO neighbors. I like NO neighbors a lot! In fact, wish I had a lot more of that.....but still grateful for the nice property we do have.

I started this thread about the people who bought the 50 acres behind us. The front of the long narrow property is on another road. They do dirt work and built a large building up front to house their equipment. They are city folk, and made a lot of costly mistakes. They put the building where a large stock tank had been filled in, even though another neighbor told them about it. The slab has cracked and sunk. They also forgot to put the plumbing in for the office area🙄! Luckily they have put off building a house behind us for now! We also are getting new neighbors to our north, our property lines meet in the woods behind my house! On my way out this morning I stopped at the neighbors on the other side of them. The environmental officer was there, I know him and that neighbor so I stopped. The new neighbors called them in because they have some non running trucks in their front field, haha, totally legal. The new neighbor said he doesn't want his dogs getting into any leaking fluids from the trucks. They got the animal containment law explained to them!! The newbies also asked the environmental officer what can be done about the smell and noise from the horses across the road🙄🙄! I told him just wait until my donkey brays at 4am when I get up. Buddy always announces when I take Bear out of a morning. Buddy announced everything!!😃🙉
A lot of that kind of thinking here in montana.
The influx of folks with money wanting to change things or use the letter of the law to piss off people around them. I once had to turn off a giant yard light next to our isolated property, the light was on a unoccupied bare property and the owner didn't want to listen to my conversation about not making our area look inviting to people passing by on the state highway. The 22 calber electrical fix worked just fine.......what is the statue of limitations I wonder.....

My neighbor across the woods will be officially out today, we will miss him! The new neighbors had the place surveyed, the property line is back 60ft further than we thought, IN OUR FAVOR!! We never had to think about it with either neighbor before. So soon we will be finding out how the newbies like hearing Buddy at 4am!😃

So "Bob", neighbor to the north, share the woods, is completely moved out! He was a good neighbor for 20 years! Hate to see him go!! Very glad his Pit Bull is gone, she was horrible! Was able to walk Bear to the creek down the road! A young lady on the next road used to walk every morning down our road. She hasn't been able to for the past year and a half because of this dog. I saw her today and told her Bob moved, she left a nice thank you note in my mailbox for letting her know!! Glad she can enjoy her walks again. The new neighbor should be moving in this weekend. We will see how this goes!!

Fingers crossed. 🤞Hope they are as nice as "Bob" without the dog.

There is an animal containment law in our county. Bob is such a nice kind soul we all looked the other way. He had two awesome dogs before this last one. Any new neighbors will NOT have loose dogs!

The law is there for a reason. Loose animals should not interfere with your livelyhood or be a danger. Sounds like the pit bull was both.

Hopefully you don't get nicknamed " boxer short guy", 😮😮😮
OHHH, that is if they are lucky :p Out back its just me, soybeans and whoever is to slow to look away :p

The dude next door may NEVER come out from behind his trash can.

Already found the party neighbors :p. House across the street is PENDING, they will know where the fun is.

The new neighbors to my north (through the woods) spent their first night in their new home. Young couple with two little girls. 900 square foot house, one bedroom, one bath!🤔😮 The guy across the road from them (with the horses they complained about before they moved in) tried to go over and introduce himself. He said they ran in the shop building and shut the door!;😮 Buddy did the 4:15am morning announcements! In fact he's honking right now waiting for me to feed and brush him! Should be an interesting week!!

Got the scoop on the missing new neighbors!!🙄🙄🙄🤣 They had the sheriff's dept out talking with the neighbors on the other side of them. So nosy me stopped to talk with the other neighbors on my home. The new neighbors want the other neighbors to put up a privacy fence so they don't have to look at their old vehicles!! The other neighbors said no, put up your own fence. So the sheriff's officer had to make a wasted trip out to tell them they have to put up their own fence if they don't want to look at the old vehicles!🤪 And they stayed in a motel in town since last Friday because the guy across the road weaned calves and they couldn't sleep because of the cows mooing and some donkey honking at 4am!🤣🤣🤣 So that's all I know right now.....

Neighbors can be quite the challenge. Living rural and not liking old cars and livestock is bound to be the start of quite a story. Maybe leave a bag of earpugs on their porch? Oh and a extra large can of fabreeze.

May be a good time for a low ball offer on their place if they are driven to live in a motel. They may want to cut there losses and get out. Then turn around and sell it to someone who would appreciate the place.
