I had beef stew from the freezer for lunch. I took it out to defrost yesterday. We freeze in tupperware enough for a nice, filling bowl. I know she doesn't really like stew, but I asked Mrs. UNT anyway, if she wanted any, yesterday. "No." So I defrosted only one, perfect size bowl, just for me. Just the right amount to assuage my hunger. I thought about it, and asked her a second time. "No, thank you."
Today I lovingly popped my mouth watering meal in the microwave. Savoring the thought of the first taste. I sprinkled some shredded cheese on top. Yum.
"Oh, hey, that smells really good, can I have a bowl too?"
I can't win.

Having a Chick fil A Spicy Chicken sandwich with waffle fries and ice water.
Last night we had crackers, cheese, and elk summer sausage! Don't know what's on tap tonight! Not sure what's going on with Hubby's elderly friend who spent the night in the hospital yet! Messes up our routine! Updates later!
Yesterday I made an alfredo sauce and added chopped ham (from Christmas) and peas over linguini

If you get a chance try putting capers in your Alfredo sauce...sun dried tomatoes are really good too! My cast iron skillet doesn't appreciate it, but I do. I'm going to have to try the ham, that sounds good too.

Husband having a diet dinner...turkey patty and brussel sprouts. Little granddaughter and I are having giros and a spanakopita ring.
Had a big lunch at the chinese buffet in town. Tonight was just a bowl of chicken n dumplings with crackers.
My personal chef, created homemade tomato soup bisque with french baguette for us tonight. Yum.
Freezer surprise......
Thawed a couple packages of boneless pork chops.. Cut into cubes..
Course sliced onion
Cream of mushroom soup
Garlic powder
Black pepper
Grated 3 cheese
All in a cooking bag in the slow cooker on high.
Will make rice

No, not a joke. I put a little olive oil on the chicken parts, then season with Cavender's Greek seasoning, then bake.
Viola!! Greek chicken.
Italian chicken: Put Italian dressing on the chicken pieces and bake. Viola!! Italian Chicken.
Don't ask about other nationalities.
Stromboli today and tomorrow I plan on making some beef vegetable soup and some garlic bread to go with it.
I found some packs of alphabet pastas on amazon and I'll put some in the soup just for silliness

Son bought me a few steaks last night.
I ate one for dinner & the other tonight with sweet potatoes bits & grilled asparagus.

I usually have a prime rib on new years..I thought I had to work new years day so I had top Raman n hit the hay ..
So tonight I'm celebrating..
I bought myself a nice prime rib steak. I will marinate it hozen sauce n steakhouse griller seasoning.mumm..
I won't cook it in the barbie..I still haven't cleaned it since I caught it on fire..lol..
So I will grill it on cast-iron on my wood stove tonight..
I bought the pups some beef stew meat so they can celebrate with me..

Lunch was the end of the vegetable soup I made on the potbelly yesterday. We were given a hunk of venison before Christmas, so I threw it in the slow cooker today, and finished it in the oven with mash and veg. Discovered some redcurrants in the freezer and made a jam to go with it. Tomorrow will be the turkey pie I made with leftovers - first day back at work in the cold, everyone will come in starving
