I bathe with them on in the spring before cutting them off. That way they are clean for sewing back on in the fall.
Why take them off and waste them, just put the new ones on over the old in the fall. It doesn't get that hot in our neighborhood anyway.
I just leave mine on that way get washed at the same time. Hate to waste water. Innkeeper, what this radical "put the new pair on" thought all about?
I've always loved this shot. looks like a lady sitting on a pillow.

LOL! It is a shot of a fence post where we used to live. Sort of a "through the lens" kind of shot!

The volunteer cherry tomatoes have been sprouting. I pulled this example of a great germination percentage. All sprouted at exactly the same time!

Those of us with slower speeds have to wait on the pictures to download.
That happens every time I read the new posts so the wait times are annoying.
A lot of times I just skip waiting on the picture and go to the next post.
That's great if everyone had high speed internet.

The pictures load like a bitmap on my computer (we're on satellite).... slowly.... slowly.... folding down from the top..... line by line.... painfully.....

Saturday I spent the afternoon with some of the members of Team Rubicon, installing smoke detecotrs for the Red Cross "Sound the Alarm" effort 
Awesome Dademoss. It is good to see another Red Crosser among us!
I'm loving them socks. They need to also include left or right stamped on the front to help me!

Precious. Kids are a real joy. I went to a place to eat today and it was packed with a buss full of a middle school band. They offered to let us in front of the line since we were about 100 behind. All so well behaved and nice.
Old dogs and children and watermelon wine song.
Jake got the the bike he had been wanting today! He has a lot of construction cleanup to do this summer to pay for it.......
