I could spend a lot of time just sitting there.

We have another park just as green as that one, that has a beautiful view of the river. Instead of flat benches there are rocking/swinging benches placed all over in a random pattern facing the water. The wife and I have spent many hours just sitting there.

Our sweet potato vines are finally dying off with the frost so we started harvesting them today and here is what we got out of a quarter of the patch. Our little patch of about 1.5m x 9mt produces enough sweet potatoes to supply the 2 of us for a whole year :) .

very nice...

ever notice sweet potatoes at the store all look alike, all about the same size...all in a certain range...

@gumpy we love our sweet potatoes too and they are an inclusion in almost every meal we have :) and have so many vitamins and minerals in them.

@tiffanysgallery yes most potatoes are a uniform shape and size in the supermarkets which is how they like them as they are aesthetically pleasing for shoppers to buy and make it easier for the supermarkets to sell them online when they are all around a certain size, shape and weight. Many farmers around us in our country area in Australia have their crops rejected by the supermarkets if they are not a uniform size or shape and many are forced to plough their crops back into the ground which is criminal as this food should go to those who need it. As you can clearly see growing them in your own garden it is far from the case of being the same size and if you go to our local farmers markets they are all different shapes and sizes too. As most gardeners know the shape and size of them doesn't matter as they are all wonderfully sweet and tasty in our meals.

Part of today's jobs will be to put these on newspaper to cure for a while until they get sweeter and harvest some more too.

View attachment 7236 I think I might have broken a toe or two.....

Yea.....

You might wanna get that looked at.

Broken big toes might be able to splint or buddy tape to the others.
The little bones in the foot...you need to get a cast or walking cast...and an X-ray...

Did it hurt right away? And did you say nice things when it happened?
