Bob was originally one of the people at Terminus. How could you all miss that? And Beth is at a mental hospital because, gee, they ride around in that little blue car with the cross on it just looking for gullible girls to kidnap. Tyreese did kill the guy in the cabin after taking out all of the zombies outside singlehandedly without weapons. And then apologized for it! What a wuss.
I'm so disgusted with the stupid sh1t they do on this show. Maybe they are just following the comic books and have a commitment to keep doing so. I never read them. Why would Darryl knock out the taillights on the car they are going to use to follow the car that took Beth? Why not the headlights??? And gee, there are zombies outside so while everyone is sitting safe and happy inside the church Bob walks outside to sit alone on a gravemarker? Come on. And that must have been some hella anesthesia they used to take Bob with since he didn't even know they'd removed his leg til it was pointed out to him.
And last, but not least, is Darryl gay in the comic books? If the show goes politically correct on us because of a minority shouting "it's not fair" then I think it's time to remove AMC from my channel lineup.

Nah, Burnadette is WAY hotter than her. (even than Penny, especially with that new short hair...it's like they rewrote Penny's character completely)

Darryl isn't in the comics hahaha

Yeah, I think she is just the zombie with glasses from the water scene where they're trying to get food.

Not for next week. Before the season started, they had like a 5 minute preview for the season. Was a real spoiler killer....
yeah thats why i don't watch any of that stuff. I hate spoilers hahaha. I don't mind fan prediction stuff but when they actually ruin stuff its a bummer. I feel like its because they have editors that don't really care about the show so they don't realize what they're showing.

""Why would Darryl knock out the taillights on the car they are going to use to follow the car that took Beth? Why not the headlights???""

If you had ever followed terror suspects or OPFOR in rural areas at night you would know you can turn off your headlights but not your brake lights, In Germany in the 80s we used to remove the brake light bulbs from our vehicles when on exercise so as to not see the Comrades on the other side of the inner German border see us move about at night ( IR field glasses were still very rare back then :) )

Okay, that makes sense. I didn't think that through. But really, the time it took for him to knock out those lights, then trying to follow the car after it got way ahead of them, at night, with no headlights. Just jump in the frickin car and follow. What are they gonna do, take you on a wild goose chase? And, the car they were chasing in this show was not the same car that took Beth last season. That car was a much larger model vehicle if memory serves me correctly.

Interesting point. I missed it, but I was assuming they learned names during QA sessions that happened off camera. I kept wondering how he knew his name, but just kind of chocked it up to continuity error or something I missed FF through commercials, hehe. Explains a lot.

A running car is a car, in the Zombie Apocalypse. No matter what it was before, now, just a vehicle.

Tyreese did kill the guy in the cabin after taking out all of the zombies outside singlehandedly without weapons. And then apologized for it! What a wuss.

He beat him up bad, but I never saw him actually die. My guess is that he's with the group that had the Bob-a-Q.

The writer does have a lot of input, so they do follow it mostly, though also take liberties. Sometimes, it's likely just done to create a situation. Have to have conflict. Would be pretty boring if they always did the smart things.

Already explained.

Hopefully we'll find out why he went for that stroll. Agreed on the anesthesia issue though. And why would you waste it on food?

I think it would be a dumb move on the producers' part to have his character gay. He has a pretty big fandom, and while they'd be cool with it on the outside, inside, they'll become far less interested in him and then the show, by proxy.

Not wanting to be a spoiler but talking to a fan that reads the comics said Bob's current situation was Hershiel in the comics and he was bit under the water during the food bank fight and when he wakes up and realizes they are eating his leg he starts laughing because he knows they will turn too . They may go that direction from the comics with Bob . Another fan that keeps up with alot of the offscreen stuff said the producers said the gay stuff was a hoax .

I think on the Talking Dead afterwards, they actually said they thought he was part of the Bob-A-Q group but that he'd been killed by Tyreese. Tyreese told Carol that he had to kill him during the Rick and Judith reunion. That wasn't a supposition on my part. I heard it just by listening.

Then there's Bob - do you remember when they first met him, they asked if he'd been with other groups, how many zombies he'd killed, how many humans he'd killed? Then there was his whole attitude on the way to Terminus. He really didn't want to go there but eventually he became "resigned" to it. Sometimes things are inferred but you have to pay close attention to catch it.

Okay, here's another thought: Why didn't they cut off Bob's arm instead of his leg? They are obviously on the move now and need their meat still "on the hoof".

Yeah, when you mentioned it (that Bob was formerly at Terminus), I kind of replayed that earlier conversation in my head. Still, you think he would have given a heads up, I mean c'mon!

Good point on the leg. Then again, seems like they are camping out near the church anyhow.

Hell its just entertainment, good for a laugh and a modicum of contemplation, I preferred Jericho but the half wits who made the show cancelled it early. One bit I don't get is the show is set in Georgia which I believe is usually warm/ hot and quite humid, Shirley the Zombies should have almost rotted away by now?

My curiosity is up, I might have to start watching tv just to see this program
Sir if you are refined enough to have weaned yourself off TV I respectfully suggest you stay that way, you seriously are missing very little. British TV is now on average 6 to 7 minutes of show followed by 5 minutes of adverts then three minutes of teezers and trailers before the next six or seven minutes of show, I watched something on Discovery Channel last week and the last section of the show lasted exactly 3 minutes between adverts. We used to get a total of 3 minutes every fifteen minutes once upon a time but these days the adverts and breaks can easily be as long as the show.

Hey I just noticed something, even though the world ended in a zombie apocalypse in 2010 the stills for the show shows them driving a 2012 Hyundai ? Oh and Daryls crossbow has changed by magic into one from another company ???

Oh Gawd I'm turning into a Dork!!!! if I'm not careful I'll end up watching Star Trek instead of B5 :)

I'm suppose to be helping my wife by sending sample findings to WSU instead, she walks in her office and see's two of her screens with info about walking dead and the other screen with this forum anyway, I didn't have the heart to tell her I already sent them last night... I'll let her stew on it for a couple of hours (that's what she gets for turning me into a lab junkie)

Like I posted in the 'entertainment' thread, there be no boredom here!

Nah, not everything in life must be highbrow. Sure, I enjoy a good documentary as much as the next guy, but a little cheese now and then is fun too.

That's horrible...but then, that's why we DVR pretty much everything we watch, so we can fast forward through commercials. Also, we can watch any shows as we want to, without having a schedule dictated to us.

On B5, they were going to have a video game come out based on it, but it never did. Not sure why. When I saw it at a convention, the game was almost complete. I demo played it with the programmers (who had complete buy-in from the show's creator), and the Star Furies flew just like they did in the show.

For the demo though, they had unlimited ammo. Because of the 360 motion, I came up with a Death Blossom style maneuver (like on Last Starfighter) with the Fury, and pretty much shot them down, hehe.... Anyhoo, I really miss the show (and sad about the game). I guess the popularity died too quick before they could release the game.

Great show though. Oddly enough, the stars pretty much only did sci-fi conventions when the show was out. They could still make some bank if they went to them though. (Well, Koenig still does, for that and for Trek of course).

I definitely preferred Jericho as well. I think there's another thread here somewhere about it, along with conspiracy theories of why it was cancelled.

B5 was great, I have the full DVD set including the movies and Excaliber sets, but my ball time fav Sci Fi is Terry Nations SURVIVORS the original UK Post Apoc virus disaster series, its what got me into survivalism waaaaaay back in 76

Yea talking dead said the guy Tyrees suposedly killed was with the group and I wondered how they knew Bob .

It's funny, but the actress who plays Ivanova is actually a very cheery and bubbly person in real life.

Yea talking dead said the guy Tyrees suposedly killed was with the group and I wondered how they knew Bob .

I still have to watch the Talking Deads for the first two episodes. Thanks for the heads up.

I think you're 'dead' on with the "you're eating zombie meat" thing, but never caught on with the gay thing.
