Your assessment of CA is dead on but, There is 2 Californias. From LA northward is the liberal anti gun entitled asses. Orange county, Riverside county, San Bernadino county and all the others south to the border actually are quite conservative and our voting usually goes in that direction. 75 to 85 percent of our voting goes conservative, the problem is the rest of the state north of us is all Liberal town USA and they have slightly better numbers. That's why at one point a few years ago there was serious talk about splitting the state by those lines I just stated. The problem is that all the state would have to agree to it and the north would never go along with it since most of their tax revenue comes from us in the south. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/03/07/california-6-states_n_4890982.html this shows a six way split of the state but as you can see the south CA part follows the exact lines I stated..

Yes, there are a few states like that. My own Arkansas is really two regions: the northern half; and the southern and eastern quarters, differentiated by climate, topography, demographics, economy, and culture.

The bottom half of my state might as well be capitalist Cuba, lol....

I do remember the talk about splitting CA as a state...it got pretty serious at one point.

Ugh, I know! I would have convinced her to stay. Jeez, where will the colony be without a doctor? What if Tara came home wounded? Wouldn't she want to be there for that? They have no doctor now, Maggie knows basic stitching and midwifery, but she doesn't know antibiotics, dosage, or internal medicine or any of that. They're going to have to find another doctor.

Can't believe the last episode....why would you send your only doc on a supply run? Stupid.....
I certainly didn't see her death comming. As you pointed out, the value of a doc would have been too valuable to let her risk her self like that.

Psalm7 I for the life of me dont understand how there has been more then 2 episodes of fwd. They all shoulda been dead by episode 2. No skills, no nothing, their what the rest of us would call bait

You never know .Im sure most of us jave gotten out of situations unscaved that we should have maybe not walked aeay from . I know I have . Just saying the show has gotten better than when it started . Salazar was one of the better characters from the start .

Well absolutely salazar has been a better character from the start. Hes the only one with any sense, guts, fortitude and balls. The rest have only made it on extreme luck and a joke, on the walking dead theyd have been eaten by now. The only reason there still walking now is cause their the main characters

Psalms I have a theory on the two shows but, If you haven't read the comics and know who the whisperers are then, its too many spoilers.

On Zombie shows or movies my favorite part is when the outbreak first starts . Like on WorldWar Z and see all the mistakes Brad Pitts character makes like not watching when he steps out into the highway , gets destracted while driving trying to calm his kid , separates his family in the grocery store . Another good one not as famous Zombie night .
Real world mistakes have grave consequences.

Just watched the season 8 trailer on facebook . It doesn't look good for Father Gabriel . I kind of liked His becoming the Preacher Warrior . But Neagan seems to be Putting a end to that in what little You could see on the trailer .

Saw where some are saying the walker that bit Carl is actually one of the whisperers that where suits made of walker skin , its supposed to be near time for them to show up . I say Carl is gone . How long can He play a 14 year old ?

Yeah, it's what had us looking forward to Fear The Walking Dead....but then they blew it with a) totally unlikable characters, b) jumping too quickly to it all going to hell vs. a build, and c) completely ignoring the fun parts we wanted to see (like how the news would try and spin it, the progression of isolated incidents into full blown outbreaks, those days before everything just went to hell, etc.).

On the other Walking dead thread here I mentioned the Arnold Schwarzenegger zombie movie Maggie . It gives a look at society dealing with a zombie viruse out break . Different twist on the zombie movies.

OK, you had me at "Arnold Schwarzenegger Zombie movie"..... I have to check that out...lol

finally got to see the finale episode.....

Kind of lackluster. (and really some big gaps here....maybe it's just been too many weeks since I saw the last one).

I don't even remember Carl getting bit, but since the comics have him immune, seems the way the show will go too.

I must have missed Negan's escape from the Sanctuary too. And just how the hell did they have all those resources when doing so? How the hell does Rick's group not shoot out the tires of every damn car there when they had them pinned down? Idiots. Instead, they show up in more numbers and cars than the departing victors. Huh? How? What?

Kind of left it on an Empire Strikes Back note. The heroes are WORSE off than they were before. Instead of killing Negan's group, their homes are gone, and Negan is still around (and apparently in charge). What the hell folks? really?

Ugh...and of course, Gabriel and Jesus are still alive... (at least they are teasing me with Carl's bite...)

I still can't understand why Rick's group didn't just burn the damn sanctuary down. This really seems like the smart tactic (certainly working for Negan in Alexandria). I mean, they are content with letting a flood of zombies in, but not burning it? Heck, why not burn it down AFTER the zombies go in? Two birds, one stone. Nope, not Rick's Dumbasses.....

It's not that Eugene's super smart (he just uses impressive sounding vocabulary)...it's just the rest of the people are SO DUMB...so comparatively, he's frickin' Einstein!

Look at Rick's recruitment of the Heapsters....here's people who have turned on you just recently, FOR the guy you want them to help you go kill. Hmm....hey Rick, see any flaws in that plan? Any at all?

Then there's the attempted recruitment of the Fishwives....so, what do you do right off the bat, oh, shoot their leader dead with one shot. Yep, that ought to cement the alliance.

It's like Fear of the Walking Dead's writers bled over....you want to root for the heroes, but sometimes, they are just so stupid, you just want to see Negan win. Maybe that's the safer bet. Root for Negan. That way, I'm not so disappointed....lol.

GO NEGAN!

It didnt show that the Grandma of the Womens group is dead but that was a bad plan . They knew that they shot anyone that shows up at their sea side resort . 2nd half season is supposed to adress alot of the issues with the first 1/2 .

It's been so long since we visited that arc, I just assumed that any older lady shot was the grandma.... (just what are the elderly doing on patrol in the first place? really?) So far though, the fishwives had the best plan (frickin' stay hidden!)

Time lapse since outbreak has been 2 1/2 or 3 years ? Not sure . So Chandler out grew His Character . Despite alot of mistakes on weapons and tactics the writers do a overall good job . I call it the new Gun Smoke . One of the longest running sieries on TV . I could pick it apart on details but just take it as entertainment.
