Loved the Walking Dead premier. I'm still going with my original guess that the little girl Carl is into, is actually a spy for the Wolves. That said, I think Gabriel is the one that blew the horn. Just like the guy who tried to kill Glenn, leaving him alive was a HUGE mistake. While Glen's would-be killer MAY be turned around, why chance it? Too risky. Same with Gabriel. Though watching Rick tell him "No" was pretty damn funny.

I still have to catch up on Fear the Walking Dead. I'm hoping it gets better.

This guy at work swears its the same DR that is at the Hospital in Atlanta where Maggies Sister got killed

Would have to check on the doc actor, but definitely not the same hospital, as one show is in CA and the other in GA.

I think the idea was that the DR traveled east and was caught in Atlanta when it fell . As I remember he mentions being from somewhere else on season 5 WD . I have it on disk and will watch it agin .

I thought it may be the Wolves blowing the horn as it sounds like a 18 wheeler horn and as the show started they were loading thier walkers up like they were launching a atack on Alexandria .

I think the Wolves were just resetting the trap with the trucks.
They may be to blame for it but....

Seriously though, I think it was the girl..."Enid" I think was her name?

Hey, that's DINE backwards!!!

I agree, I'm not that forgiving to let someone that tried to kill me stick around.
The FTWD season finale was pretty good, by far the best episode yet.

Good, something I can look forward to, and maybe enough for me to still watch next season (FTWD).... Still hooked with the original. Though, I can't help but wonder, why didn't they simply:

1) Drive a tanker truck full of some kind of flammable into the pit...
2) Shore up where they are squeezing through....
3) Toss grenades down to the tanker....
4) Roast marshmellows from the heat of all the burning zombies...

Then again, why they never dug a big trench filled with spears around the jail, the farm, or Alexandria is an equal mystery....

Finally watched the last few episodes of Fear the Walking Dead. The final episode was pretty good. Main guy finally found his balls. Did you catch that the rich guy is basically a prepper?

He knows the beach house won't be safe forever, but still, I'd definitely enjoy it for a day or so. Yachts are nice and all, and I'm sure his is well-stocked, but it's also an unknown. Did he have crew on it? Likely not, or they would have simply left.

That's the thing we never see in these shows with rich preppers. The fact that the help is likely to simply turn on the master who paid for it all and save themselves.

I almost quit watching the show because that guy was such a wimp. And that doper kid, leave him outside for a zombie snack.

Yeah, there really isn't a likable character in the whole family. It's really strange that the creators don't get this. Unlike Walking Dead, we don't feel like rooting for them...we're just witnesses to their stupidity and left in wonderment as to how they are all still alive when so many others die....

I just watched the most recent episode of TWD, where the guy comes back from insanity and learns Akita. I guess growing up watching Kung fu made me appreciate it more! I am suprised they used an entire episode on one character. So, is he going to starve the wolf to death?

I've had the same discussion with others, and I think it's a cultural disconnect. Californians really are that much different. I think the characters are very SoCal.

At least the final episode of the season redeemed the show in my eyes. We'll see how the next one shakes out. At least the original is back and running.

On the Walking Dead, I can sympathize most with Maggie and Glenn, but also Darryl and Carol. I still want to see Gabriel and Carl die horribly.

On Fear the Walking Dead, I just can't sympathize with anyone (except maybe the kid who had a clue, and left on a bus). So far, the most likable character on that show is the barber. I have nobody to root for here.

Well, the original is back, and with a vengeance!

(Spoiler Alerts below, if you aren't caught up, as the new mid-season started last night)

What they did to Negan's group....just classic. I thought Sasha and soldier boy were toast. Nice twist.

Why on Earth they took that mental case kid with them, instead of insisting he go to the church....dumb dumb move, and if you didn't guess he'd die after that...can't help you. I figured he'd flip out (and take some of the group with him), but didn't count on it being Rick's gal (though I was hoping the kid would also get Porchdick Jr killed too).... Well, Carl's still alive, but at least I got to see him get shot. I know, I know. I still think the idiot should be put out of his misery. Sure, he's finally better now, but ugh...

Glad they didn't kill Glenn. Thought he was a goner there. At least Daryl had the brains to actually give them a shot. Hand to hand with zombies when the ratio is like 30 to 1 or more...not a good idea.

Decent episode though, and a good start.

Was Fear of the Walking Dead even renewed?

EDIT: Guess it was. We'll see, but not betting on a Season 3.....

Carol is the best character on the show, utterly awsome whilst remaining human, i'd have shot most of the kids myself.

Fear twd is about to start up again. Yeah, I thought Glenn was finally a goner too for a moment there, and I agree with Carl should have been put out of my misery!

I quickly read your post and thought you said Carl. WTHeck! Then I read it again and have renewed faith in you friend :)

Hate to break it but, I don't think Carl will ever die. The show is built around the comics and the comics are built around Carl being raised in the zombie apoc..

I know, but a guy can dream, right? At least he's more tolerable now. I still think Rick should have given him some chocolate pudding to bring him around.....

Ok, I just can't believe how stupid Rick and Darryl both were on last night's episode. I counted 14 completely boneheaded moves they made, each dumber than the one before it. I mean, seriously dumb. How many opportunities did they need before killing "Jesus"??? For the first time, I kind of wanted Rick and Darryl to die. I'm rooting for Jesus. He at least has a brain. I think the zombies got Rick and Darryl's......

Just saw the recorded episode last night! Awesome. They needed a new plot line or something to spice it up some. I agree though, for people that have survived so long, they sure seemed pretty naive.

I think Jesus is one of Negan's men, like in his upper echelon. An interesting thing if you didn't catch it, he knew Rick's name. I'd have to rewatch it, but I don't think they mentioned it around him before. Maybe when he was "out" they did...but if not, then it means he had obviously observed them for some time.

Another thing is that he definitely knew of or planned the location and that zombie trap. He waited until then, then started making noise on the roof.

Though most of his actions seem as if they would require Jesus being able to see the future....maybe he actually is Jesus, LOL.

I rather like how he got untied and on top of the truck so quickly when they drove away. I'm leaning towards the Jesus thing!

Interesting revelations about him, no?

I'm thinking Glenn and Abraham's days are numbered.

Is the Walking Dead series available on DVD? I kind of got hooked on the series but haven't had the opportunity to watch TV since November.

Almost all of this season isn't available yet but, the rest of it is on netflix or dvd.

If you want to use Showbox, probably even find this season there.... ;)

It's a good show. Slow at times, but usually for a reason, and with a payoff. Too bad the spin-off is kind of lame. It's a good premise, just horribly cast. A half-season, and still no chemistry with the characters.

Yeah, so far it sucks, I'm still waiting for it to get good. I've seen Alycia Carey in other shows and she's a good actress so I'm wondering why her character seems to suck and get no action/plot. And they killed their only doctor off, so I don't know what they're going to do. Also I hate the heroin addict character, I can't even remember his name now, but I feel like a heroin addict isn't going to make it very far considering he's still getting high.

Yep, pretty bad sign when the ONLY guy who has a clue is the addict.....

Most Californians are either disarmed or delusional, or both. My apologies to those few exceptions to the rule. But the way they behave in the spinoff show is pretty realistic. They're more afraid of guns than zombies.
