-34.5 F it warmed up a bit. Getting around 4-6 inches of snow every night. No wind which is a blessing.
OK, I've got nothing on your weather, Clem

I was just going to whine about -4 w/ a wind chill of -15. It's cold! And I'm not going to compare it to anybody's so I can just keep on whining 😂
My bathroom sink is frozen (just leaks at a joint so shouldn't be any broken pipes) which is odd because all the other drains are good and are exterior walls. This is in an interior wall. Weird!

ETA: According to @Tank-Girl in another post, I'm a proud member of the Sooky La La club 😂

It's 78° and cloudy here. Sun is just starting to poke through the clouds a little bit. Sky is very gray/white. I need to get myself in gear to clean litterboxes (I always dump them outside) before it rains.

Wish I could send some warmth to you folks with the freezing weather. I'll send virtual hugs instead.

Bright sunny still minus 15C , 5 f here still enough snow in the spruce trees to give the winter wonderland look.

Currently 6 degrees. It has been snowing about 18 hours now, off and on. It is supposed to snow until noon. My back has been twingy for the last week or so, so not looking forward to shoveling the snow. Perhaps a snow angel will help me out.

Clem, I do not envy your temps. Do you have a heated space to park your vehicle? When I lived in North Dakota we could plug our vehicles in and they would start -20 or even a little bit colder, but at your temps, there was no chance of our vehicles starting. Those temps will have you making sure that your vehicle is in good working condition.

It's winter here. No big thing just a couple feet of snow and temps in the zero range F. It might break freezing on Sunday but it will drop back down on Monday with more snow. It won't be too long before spring is here.

Most vehicles are parked outside. Older vehicles used to freeze up, but most of the ones on the road now, don't. My 2009 truck whined like a sookie la la at -40 and the belts squealed like a pig, but she started just barely. That was Christmas day when I was on the road and couldn't plug it in the night before. The Subaru forester didn't even notice the cold.

The exceptions to the rule are anything diesel. Those need to be plugged in more often than not, and take half a day to warm up to operating temperature. I keep the tractor plugged in or it's useless.

A colleague of my son just came over to put her truck in his garage. I started the fire a few hours ago for her. She is hoping the power steering is just froze up or she is facing a big repair bill. Personally, I have never heard of frozen power steering, but I hope she has a good lucky feeling.

Maybe not the power steering. We used to build little coffee can fires under the axels so we could feed. Moisture (snow) would get in and freeze and create a jam so you couldn't turn.

If I don't have my 02 diesel truck plugged in during freezing temps (under 20ish) my power steering acts up until it warms up. It's kinda odd, I can feel vibrations in the pedals and it sounds like it's low on fluid. If I have it plugged in and warm then there's no problem. It started when I moved up into the mountains 2 years ago. Now that I'm thinking about it, I'm going to have the shop check it and see if maybe there's moisture/water in the fluid that might be freezing up.

We are under tornado watch until 8pm currently. We've just had a little rain so far. What heavier cells that has been around has went around us.

Sounds like Kentucky is getting hammered with HEAVY rains and severe flooding. Southern and eastern Ky. Their Governor has already called a disaster area for a county or two.

As clouds rolled in earlier today, they looked like Blue Ridge Mountains off in the distance, dark blue and purple winter mountains. Even had some mist or fog in the air against it. Like @Pearl said, 33°. It dropped more than 20 degrees over 2 hours. Brrr. Got the window sealed back up. It is kind of off track and I can't fix it so I closed it up with plastic, duck tape, insulation and a sleeping bag at the bottom. LOL
The wind was blowing through the crack earlier and one of the girls thought it was a car, just the wind howling through...which made me think of a song. LOL more torture.

it warmed up to minus 5 C we are having a halfhearted chinook which is ok, don't need it to thaw and make a bunch of ice

Haven't heard from Jim. I don't think he's posted.

I've lost satellite internet and tv 3 times since 6pm. Big clouds form then vanish almost as quickly.

The big stuff is still a couple hours away. Got everything prepped... Nothing to do but wait!
