My area missed the bad stuff yesterday, blew up just to the east! Got some much needed rain. 90° today!! Possible light freeze Friday night! The Texas roller coaster!
We got some wind and rain last night, but I slept thru most of it (which means it wasn't bad).
Don't know how much rain because the rain-gage reset, but I can tell outside that we definitely got 'some'.

Another 4 inches fell overnight.

I really thought (with hopeful intention) that winter may depart with grace a little earlier than expected. Then the snow decided to come say hello again yesterday, thus destroying my hopes and dreams of getting started on building a new greenhouse early. Oh Alaska, please give me a decent summer this year 🧎

81 today. Been under a tornado watch since about 6, ends in about 30 minutes. We've had a little rain, and some thunder and lightning. Very little wind and no hail. Only thing strange was the sky turned a strange color right about sunset. When the nado's were in the area in 2011, it turned a strange greenish color. Tonight it was kinda green, but I really think it was just the color in the trees leafing up. So far so good, we are in the last line of rain and should be thru shortly.
Gonna be cooler tomorrow and real cool over the weekend. Maybe snow flurries Sunday morning. Dogwood Winter is upon us

+1 on the green = bad. Yes, it is real.
I have only seen it 3 times, and each time there was a nado on the ground tearing stuff up.
One of the few things that will freak me out to this day. gaah
On topic: Almost rained today, all day long:rolleyes:.
Temp got up to 84°, still waiting on my 90's😀.

Hunker down and keep safe!
74° today with a north wind! Wind advisory tomorrow, only 70°☹! Not warm again until Saturday!
It's supposed to be warm here Friday ~ 70* 😂

Don't worry. Pretty soon, you'll get summer 24/7.
Gorgeous here today: lower 60's and sunny.

Mostly cloudy today but the sun peeked out a couple times. Warm, mid 70's. About 2pm I started getting small rain showers which turned in nasty thunderstorms. Currently the NWS has issued severe thunderstorm warnings for several dozen counties. Might get some straight line wind damage, no spinny, twisty things predicted tonight.

Skip about 1 minute into this video to see the green sky phenomena we were talking about:

Wind, so much wind later yesterday and today. How much wind was there? Enough to strip the sand off of areas of one of the dog parks, down to the dirt! And it was cold! So glad to be home after 4 dog park visits today. I am exhausted from the wind and cold!
It's been crazy windy here too! Doesn't look like it's not going to be windy for the next couple of weeks!

50 this morning, highs around 60. We got .95" or rain. Other than a couple thunderstorms we just got rain. Was really expecting straight-line winds, with small chances of tornados. But winds calmed down and just rained. Beds looked good this morning.
Ill never forget the sky back in 2011. Never saw that color before. Tornado touched down about 1/2 mile away. Almost every structure in our community had some storm damage. Mostly silver dollar size hail. Sky last night kinda looked that way but different. At the time we were inbetween lines of storms and radar was basically clear around our whole area. Strange. That what made me think it may have just been the greening up of my trees. Maybe combined with the wet atmosphere

Super duper windy.
The flag on flagpole across the street is waving quite beautifully today.
Yesterday the wind made it like it was on wood, straight out.
45* now
Low of 38*
Chance of showers, windy.
No Fire warnings out.
Glad you don't have fire warnings! N Tx is under a red flag warning!☹️

Beautiful day today, and then they cranked up.
Noteworthy, 25mph with gusts a little over 30mph.
Hay Super, pull that hat on real good or chase it across the yard!

Hubby had a hat chasing day! We had 50mph gusts, I can't imagine Santa Ana winds in Ca!! I'm looking at upper 80's starting Saturday, I'll forward that too you SuperV!!

In the mid 40’s today and finally saw some grass under all that snow. Let the chooks out for a stretch and a nibble, a little mud bath action ensued LOL. Such a beautiful day!
Got all the hugel beds covered in winter chicken bedding, hoping the snow will melt down and leech all that good nitrogen into the beds, hopefully give my strawberries and raspberries a little jump start! We’ll see, it’s a new method I’m trying. It’s 2.5 years old so should be just right.
