This could be in the Rant thread, all winter long and only about one snowfall, yesterday when I had to take my wife into the physical therapy office it was snowing, I didn't know how the mountain passes would be between here and Grants Pass, as it turned out the highway was clear. We are grateful to get the snow and pray that it melts off slowly as our springs and wells despairately need replenishing, we've never had our spring overflow as low as it has been in the last year, it's rather frightening.

I'm still in the clear, some showers are starting to drift through.

@phideaux You still up Jim? Lots of nasty stuff to your west.

@Supervisor42 You seeing this? Louisiana is getting hammered!

I guess we dodged a bullet overnight.
Only 1/8" of rain , just strong winds .
The big one is coming, they say. Wife wants to go hit WM up for some stuff before IT gets here.

Guess what I'm not doing again today. 😆

Y'all stay safe.

Jim
Sounds like you are dodging another bullet😃

Supposed to have rain all day and night. Possibility of tornadoes. Just waiting for the sirens to go off. Conditions are right for one. Warm air on the bottom with cold air moving in over the top. Bad Mojo. o_O

Last nights storms stalled and then vanished. I saw it happening and went to bed around 2:30am. No measureable rain in my guage this morning.

I have a constant wind out of the south at about 12mph. Temp on my porch is 83. The air feels like soup. Humidity is very high, well above 70%.

I'm still in the 3/5 danger zone and will be until tomorrow. Big storms expected tonight.

Temps still about 85, wind from the gulf (south) blowing 20mph now.

I got another hour before the nasty stuff starts. The weatherman promised... the worst weather passes me by 11pm and I'd be in the clear by midnight.

All the ingredients are here for nasty twisty things. Could get very bad night. Fingers crossed!

Sending prayers for your safety my friend! Keep us posted as best as you can.

The big storm just passed, it did just kick up a small spinner about 6miles from here. I don’t think it touched down as there was no debris signature on radar. I’ll hear if there was damage, got cousins over there.

I’m in the clear but still raining, will last another hour. So far the power has stayed on, fingers crossed.

Just heard, straight line wind damage in northport(Tuskaloosa). And Green county.

Hope ya'll can ride out the storm without any damages.

Here for the last couple of days has been a mixed bag. some sun, rain, winds, snow and cold. Currently it's 35 and probably drop below 30 before the night is over. Day temps have been around 40-45, but feels alot colder. Hopefully this is winters last gasp. I may have to replant the cold weather stuff, not sure it will survive.

Last night's totals. 6 tornadoes in west Alabama, a few folks had minor injuries. There was very little damage, a few trees down here or there. They were all little spinners that rarely touched down and rarely lasted more than 5min. A couple of them fell apart then reorganized several times. It was a few degrees too cool and the atmosphere a little too stable to produce long-trac monsters, thankfully. Just another spring day in the south!

Today it was pleasant but cool, a little breezy, in the 60's. At least I can relax tonight without going out on the porch every few minutes to listen to the storms.
