It got up to 103 yesterday. I checked WTForecast after it cooled down a little.

Only 71 right now but its early. Hope it stays cooler today.

My poor cows were lying down in the shade yesterday. Although, it was 100 in the shade the other day.

Got up to 103 today. Currently 102°F. When I posted on another forum earlier it was 99 then it went to 100 then to 101. I feel sorry for my poor cows. At least they have water in the shade.

Another warm one here today, I'm hoping for rain this evening... I see some clouds over the mountains and across the basin, but I'm gonna get out and water here in a bit, just in case that rain doesn't fall. We got some rain last night, but again, it never seems to be enough... I've lost a lot of plants in my garden due to the ongoing hot & dry summer. However, some plants are still thriving, so I wanna keep them watered and happy. This has not been a very good growing season overall, due to the drought and the high heat... like Snappy1, I'll be glad when fall rolls around, it can't arrive too soon! Those cooler fall days & nights will feel like PARADISE after this run of high heat... 🥵

Only 110° today! Hot breeze!
I still think you should do an article in a separate thread about your central A/C unit listing all it's specs.
It has obviously been 'battle-tested' and has proven itself to be worthy :).
Others that are struggling could learn a lot.
You may have to get your hubby to translate the tonnage, model, year, and square-footage that it manages.
Hopefully, others that have been successful will chime in too.

On topic: it just teased us today and only bounced off of 100.9°.gaah

We don't use the central A/C😮😃! I turn it on every few weeks for an hour or so, just to keep it going. Hubby put a big unit in the den wall years ago, and we have a big window unit in the master bedroom! Keeps the house comfy and is a lot cheaper on the electric usage!! The central A/C is an old Freidric! Knock on wood, runs like a champ yet!!

@Pearl do you ride along with the windows down in 100+ weather?
AC on? I do. After being inside most of the day it’s nice to be outside.
Thought I saw possibility of rain next week.
High fire danger.
No A/C in the truck, even though Hubby does vehicle A/C work I am not putting the time or money in it with all it's problems and very high mileage!! I very much enjoy my car A/C!! Looks like the "cold" front and rain is not going to make it this far south! The fire danger is scary!! HOT!

Forecast called for low triple digits, but my outdoor thermometer read 112* F not too long ago... 🥵
We been dancing with 102.4° but with a nice breeze.
Not as bad as 98° with zero wind .

Only 107° today 🙄🤔! Little higher humidity so it felt warmer!! Had another huge dust devil today, right over our place!😮☹️ Crazy big, stuff that shouldn't blow around did!! Have old dog beds in Bear's yards ( because he's Mommy's baby) and one of them got carried off over the woods!!😮😮😮 Good part, it took down a huge dead Cottonwood tree just inside the woods. Was going to be a big take down this fall, now it's easy firewood!! Hotter tomorrow!!😉

It rained for 24hrs so it's been much cooler today. Should be baking and steaming again tomorrow. Temps about 100, high humidity... thinking of going to the river this weekend. Never mind... just realized getting to it will be muddy mess getting down that trail after 2" of rain. :(

We could really do with some of your clear skies here. It rained all night, in what is now a 'named storm' set to continue across the UK. Small floods locally, not sure yet of the rest of the country, its early yet. Bank holiday here, but most of our plans, which involved helping my Dad build a polytunnel and my husband to go on a biking tip, have been canceled.
