Winter is over for North Florida.
We are having mornings around 60 at sunrise, upper 70’s to low 80’s in the afternoon.
Today has been cloudy so not much heat from the sun got thru, at 2:55 PM it’s a nice 73 degrees.

Not much change in the next three days 67 to 53 range with clouds, some rain, some thunderstorms, not much chance for field work. All of the fields are black/brown sandy and have been cut a lot even when they are not planted for a crop. Most of the sections are about two acres so they are easy to keep separate and 2 of three are usually either just turned under or not planted just disked and leveled.

Most are perimeter ditched and well drained with very little grade difference within the field.
We have two 1/2 acre sections for melon and vine crops that have more grade in them but are tiered and drop ditched, with field stone tiers. The outside drainage ditch is drawn to a creek at the base of the whole place after it goes through a flat settling field and brush lines.

Hardly every have any type of manmade chemicals on any of the fields, just barnyard.

Yeah 4 me to keep my winter plantings going I really need a few days of good sun, They have made it through the first stages and grown to good solid plants, but the freezing temps have put me into a late transplant situation I don't like.

I have to go to the farm and get a trailer load of good rich soil to mix with the chips and chopped coconut fiber.
