My husband loved to cook and had our freezers stocked to the top, but I didn't know what was in there. Just that wonderful meals appeared on a regular basis without any work on my part. Now I'm wandering through trying to puzzle out what all the ingredients are, some I'd never heard of before. But today I found a steak in the freezer, so fried it for supper and had store-bought cherry tomatoes as the side.

Cracker hamburger patty, sautéed peppers onions and mushrooms, sweet potato and green beans.

It's my late father in laws version that husband remembers his dad cooking for four children when his mom was in nursing school. Hamburger, seasonings, and all the vegetables you've got. I used potato, onion, carrot, butternut squash, green beans, and corn.

Sorry to change the subject... Was thinking today about tater tot casserole a neighbor brought over once. I remember you posting it was standard amish fare. Do you have a recipe? or have posted same? thnx

Last night I had an open faced roast beast on fresh itallian loaf w/provolone. Sooo good when toasted in the air fryer.. Just a salad tonight, still hungry though. Got 2 nice catfish fillets in the fridge... hmm.

Dinner was sautéed mushrooms and zucchini, green beans sautéed with sesame seeds and soy sauce, broiled NY strip steak and it was so good, don’t think I’ve ever had it before and I don’t usually eat steak. It was very tender, we did tenderize it, wassishere sauce on it, yum!
