Lucky to find that at the salvage store. Ours doesn't have discounted meats, just local meats. And the one in the bigger town just has dry goods. Our neighbor, whose daughter I drive to the Amish school twice a week just brought over 10 lbs of fresh ground pork for us last night, and I'll use that for breakfast sausage patties.

A first date 38 years ago; and it still means enough to celebrate.. WOW I'm proud of you both!

I finally got around to making that pot of Brunswick stew. It's basically a hunters stew, meat, veggies. Being in the south the meat is usually smoked pork butt and smoked chicken. The common veggies are corn, butterbeans and tomatoes. I added fire roasted tomatoes.

I added a pound of smoked pork but didn't have chicken. But I did have ribs for dinner last night so I carved off the burnt ends and crusty bits and added them to the stew.

It tastes great already but I'll let it simmer for another hour.

HB those biscuits look so good. Just need a little butter and homeade apple butter. Course that gravy would be good on them too.

I had a broiled seafood platter, nice piece of cod, crab cake, shrimp, scallops, and a baked tater. Wife had fried shrimp and tater. We are both about to pop.
I was hoping the had grouper on the menu. But it's hard to find around here.

I've been on the run since around 4AM, caught 2 flights I didn't even have tickets for, drove an hour home from the airport, and spent an hour getting groceries at Fareway and Walmart. I'm too pooped to poop so dinner is a ham steak and cheese sandwich on whole wheat. Pretty boring, but pretty satisfying too...

Glad you are home!

The wife and I worked our ***** off today we didn’t feel like cooking, hell I can’t even get out of my chair without help. Anyway we got the boy a sack of cheeseburgers on the way home and we had a bowl of cereal. I did make the boy a bowl of ice cream and homemade chocolate chip cookies.
