The "Panko" ones are the good ones IMHO. They also have a "Tempura" one that is not bad or anything, but I don't think near as good as the Panko one. But that would definitely be a personal taste thing. The Pankos are the ones I recommend.

Those are the ones I’ll get, then. I think I’ve seen them. We buy fish fillets from Costco so I’m always perusing the frozen fish section.
I had roast chicken, tonight.
Son says we should get a Tomahawk steak.
I never had one, does any one had one of these steaks?
I’ve never had a tomahawk steak but I’ve seen them at the meat market near me. What’s the point of that great big long bone? It seems like it would be hard to cook.

It is big & hard to cook & cost between $20.00- $100.00 each.
$100.00 is for no GMOs, drugs & it was grass feed, shipped from mid west & west states.
I ate scrambled eggs & Bacon for breakfast.

This is a tomahawk I threw straight in red oak coals.

@hashbrown that looks good!! Never heard of tomahawk steak.
IMO, "Tomahawk" is code for "expensive" in most steakhouses. That's something I might do at home, but only order out if someone else (a vendor of my company) was paying.

[Edit: I just realized that I misspelled "over priced." Expensive is one thing; over priced is another.]

Fried ramen and chili with onion/salsa garnish.
You DO NOT want to visit right now, I think I just solved the natural gas shortage! I kid not, the cats left an hour ago!

Bone in beef is the best!! t-bones, tomahawks, ribs, pot roast with a chunk of bone!!! I even buy bone in pork chops, same reason. Something about the bone adds tons of flavor to beef, to me anyway.

Fried up a catfish fillet tonight (without bones 😁 ) Bones aren't good in fish!! lol

@hashbrown killed me with the snow crab! been too long since I had any.

Caught these on sale last year... ribeye

I like fried catfish. I tried skillet frying it once, a few years ago. It came out the consistency of a rubber ball. Not very appetizing. Don't know what I did wrong, or if it's just our grocery store where I bought it has crap catfish. Catfish doesn't seem to be very big here in Colorado. Many BBQ places seem to have it though.

I remember a neat place in Austin, TX back when I was growing up there. Catfish Parlor. All you can eat fried catfish, at least that's what it was back in the 70's. Good place for hungry high school guys. I think the restaurant is still there, but the last time I drove by it a few years ago it looked a bit on the rundown dive side from the outside. I wonder if it's still good food though? I'll be back in Austin for my 50th high school reunion in two years, so maybe I'll try it again. That is, if I survive the crime mayhem in Austin that has gotten so bad these days. Austin was a really nice place back when I lived there, but it's all libtarded now and heading down the toilet from what I've read. I will have to be careful where I go when I'm there for the reunion.

:p🤢🤮
I can't give any likes on the previous page of dinners lol!
No pink in the middle meat for me, no thanks, no catfish ( tastes like dirt) , no shrimp and not fond of large slabs of steak either one bit, they are either not cooked enough or tough
made chinese chicken with rice and cucumbers yesterday
today breaded pork chops, potatoes and some veggie from the garden, haven't picked one yet

After the shitshow that was tonights BZA meeting, I bought Lori and I the height of fine cuisine. 2 cheeseburgers for 5 bucks from Dairy Queen, we each got one.
I can top that. I had hot dogs with all the sides at a church Bible study pot luck dinner. 😏

I agree. I prefer bone in meat, too. When Hubby and I go out for wings, he always orders “boneless” (which I think is just chicken nuggets). I always get the bone in wings.

Forgot to brine, fried too cool, fried too long.
It could have just been a crappy fish too.

Meatloaf tonight! I saw this blended beef on sale at Albertson's and I reckon I'll give it a day in court... label says it only contains beef, mushrooms & salt. Meh, 2 lbs. of it for just over $7, that's not a bad deal, and I can always make toasted 'Mushroom Swiss' sandwiches out of it, lol. I'm not gonna add anything to it, I'm curious to see how it tastes by itself. I like mushrooms too, so I'm gonna slap those two slabs side-by-side in the toaster oven and bake meatloaf tonight! ;)

Small green salad on the side as well, I have some fresh produce to use... maybe some ice cream for dessert! :D

Let us know how it goes!!

Okay, Pearl, here is your CIA-approved detailed report! That's the Culinary Institute of America, mind you, lol... 🤣

At 1700 hours, I placed two slabs of mushroom beef on a pan and put the pan into the toaster oven... see results here:

I used my bread knife to slice an Italian loaf, then slathered each slice with mayo and placed Swiss cheese on it... 😉

While the bread was being toasted, I lined my trusty food tray with a Grand Junction real estate mag dating back to 1998... look at those prices! Damn, not bad for what's listed in each ad, lol. 😲

Out came the toasted bread & cheese, and on went the largest "patty" of mushroom beef... 😀

IMG_0776.JPG

Last but not least, we have two views of the finished sandwich and beverages... I never did make a green salad, but the beer I drank this afternoon had hops and barley in it, and those are vegetables, so THERE was my salad, lol.

I must say, the sandwich was quite tasty, I'd give it at least 4 stars, lol... and I have the other "patty" left over for another burly sandwich later! Too full for dessert right now, that comes after I water the trees & plants here in a few moments! :)

Agricultural tip: I'm gonna water even though it rained all day yesterday, I wanna keep the ground softened up as long as possible to promote root growth and development... too hot & dry earlier this summer! 🥵

That's my report, this is Wingnut 007 checking out, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Dang, that sandwich was pretty tasty! 🤠

Been there. The kids loved it. Thanks for the memory!! :)

Run down?...maybe. Looked a bit rough on the outside, but it was clean on the inside, and great food!
