What are you paying for gas?

I just saw the price in Vancouver, BC. That's 5hrs from where I am. Gas is $1.93/litre. That is $5.79/gal

It's expected to hit $2/litre

Wow

At one gas station in town it's $4.20 (when rounding up the 9/10ths of a cent). They're usually a step ahead of everyone else, so looks like the gas station near me will be going up tomorrow.

@ifbbathena I fully expect to see $6 / gal. in NY soon. Probably by the end of the month. Not sure how these people are going to manage long commutes to work at $12-15 / hour!!!

Just about all stations are 3.69 today. 2 were lower
Saw $3.79 everywhere today, quite a jump from the $3.39 we have been seeing for the last month. 😳
The good news is: the non-stop parade of vehicles driving up & down the street outside my front door seems to be slacking up a bit.

I lived near Van til just recently. I had to commute 45min each way. I don't know how people will manage either. The cost of living keeps going up, but wages don't. It's very sad and frustrating.

@ifbbathena - My dad got an electric scooter (like the type little kids ride around on not the seated medical scooters) His first one went 20 mph but he upgraded with one that goes 30 mph. He bought replacement parts for it, foreseeing that they would be hard to come by and or expensive. He works only around the corner from home, so he scooters to work. My sister will be using his old one -- she works at the same place, right around the corner.

We'll be able to cope better with gas prices than a lot of people because we live close to stores and close to our work. But it's still a rural area and many people -- just to grocery shop -- have to drive 15 - 20 miles. A single trip to the grocery store is going to cost them a gallon or two in gas. And then if there's shortages and they have to drive to multiple places to get what they need. . . .

This is going to be such a mess!

I moved back home in Sept. We are very rural too. The nearest town is 40km away. I was travelling that every day to go to the gym, but I've stopped. It's become too expensive. The cost of food has increased here too and it wasn't cheap to begin with.

We were at 3.19 before all this crap started recently. We were 1.84 on inaguration day when the ***** started killing the economy

Ours was stuck at $1.69 all thru "the good years".
Fortunately, the ***** was able to fix that.

Electric costs money. No matter the fact of how unsustainable it is it will cost far more than the "evil" fossil fuels. Hmm; how is electric generated? Oh, thats right, fossil fuels and nuclear. Oh, thats right, I forgot, lets look over here.... nevermind the idiots behind the curtain.

I find it extremely disrespectful to call Biden an *****! The idiots of the world don't deserve such disrespect.

This is another one of those insidious things they are slipping in right under our noses. My 20s son just got a Chevy Bolt and loves it - even though he lives in an apartment and can't plug in at home. He's in a college town and there's free charging everywhere. His "gas" equivalent cost is $0 - and you can be darn sure this is just another bait and switch to get us to switch to tech where we have less control and the government has more... It's a long game and they are starting with the easily programmed and the students as usual.

And it went up by me. $4.20 today.

So. . .? Are we expecting a .50-.70 cent increase every week. Is this going to escalate faster to $1 or $2 per week.

Who needs to bet on horse-racing, bet on gas prices.
