1700 hours to 2000 hours
but off in morning till noon.
New babysitting schedule as of right now lol...
Saturday,Sunday,then who knows
Been long day, I'm tired, so off to bed for me.
So glad I'm retired.
I love that little lady dearly, but after 4 or 5 days Granny is tired.

For 22 years I’ve had a little understood illness the CDC describes as debilitating, and I’ve had a couple of crappy months. In spite of this I got 3 new major appliances this week, only one installed so far but working on it… Even got a new grille yesterday. I smoked burgers tonight.

I’m exhausted… did way too much this week. I know I won’t have the energy but I need to call my great nephew tomorrow. I need help to get my new window AC installed (heavy, 14K btu).

Night before last… my continuing battle with the Alabama Public Service Commission and Alabama Power continued. I woke up during the night and couldn’t go back to sleep… So, I was doing cpu system backups and updates as my computer warranty expires on the 10th of this month. At 0153 hours my power went off again for 3 seconds. This is the 4th the time in 6 weeks.

I wrote a 3-part message to the APSC, their website only accepts 1000 characters per message… I had a lot to say and gave them an ear full.

Funny, I had to go to the big town about 3pm today. I counted 7 Alabama Power trucks between me and this end of the line 2 miles away. I think I may have finally gotten someone’s attention. :D

Started off the morning with doing a little weeding in the vegetable gardens and put a side dressing urea around the silver beet and capsicum plants for a nitrogen boost and watered them in with a tonic of seaweed solution mixed in rain water from our tanks. We then planted another 3mt row of carrot seeds in one of the vegetable gardens and watered them in too. Out around the sheds I raked up the dried leaves into a pile ready for tomorrow's vegetable garden mulching which we will run over with the ride on.

Back inside where I put on a load of washing in the washing machine and hung it on the clothes line and watered the transplanted canna lilies with seaweed solution mixed in with half of the grey water. DH then put on his load of washing and hung it on the clothes line and I watered some more of the back yard lawns with more grey water not that it is helping as it is so dry here without any rain but I try to keep the grass somewhat alive.

I then deep cleaned the bathroom and toilet for the week and DH swept all the floors for the week too. Tonight's dinner is homemade pizza with homegrown spring onions, tinned tomatoes, bacon and mince and of course a generous sprinkling of grated cheese that is cooking as we speak.

Picked up the fresh crop of branches and twigs from the front yard and mowed.

Fixed the upstairs shower from leaking onto the downstairs kitchen ceiling. I'll find out Saturday if my plan to repair the drywall ceiling worked.

Also have a plan on adding a second electrical outlet by the sump pump Saturday. Outlet will be power by a 1500 UPS. Wi-Fi high water alarm and DSL modem plugged into the outlet. Power goes off, water level in pit rises, I'll get a notification on my iPhone. As a side befit, with the DSL on a UPS the gun safe alarm notification will also work during a power outage. Wonder if there is a Wi-Fi Utility power failure device...?

Patch hope you feel better soon. :huggs:

Mopping floors ,dusting and bathed a dog. Changed chicken water and feeder.

Back home from husbands spine injection. Took him to breakfast. Picked up prescriptions at Walgreens, and they shorted him two medication counts. We called, and now need to go back to make it good. Our daughter is going to have a fit. She's at a different Walgreens pharmacy and calls the one closest to our house the ghetto one. Ordering more mylar bags and o2 absorbers. Am now off of work for the day, so will (finally) start moving the Cornish hens outside. It's a beautiful day!

Waiting for the kids 3d shoot to start. I think were going to get wet. Its already snowed, hailed and rained today.

Well I had the generator running for about an hour today. The wind storm knocked out the power. Gusting to 120kph (75mph) today. The generator never worked that hard in a few years lol. Powered the fridge, freezor and a few lights.

Looks like you're near Whitton, Terri.
Or I'm wishing I'm there!

We are at the Whittington center. Staying in one of the cabins.

The kid got 286 out of 360 in the 3d shoot.
We do the FETA targets tomorrow.

I didn’t get around to installing my new window air conditioner today. I had other little chores to finish. I did open the box to good news. There is no longer a metal window frame where my window ac is located. I removed the frame years ago when I put the first ac in. I re-framed the opening with marine grade plywood, 2 layers. In between the layers is 1-inch thick foam insulation. All of it is cut for a specific size opening.

The out side of the ac box led me to believe the current opening wasn’t wide enough. When I opened the box this afternoon I was able to measure the ac unit. It’ll fit like a bug in a rug. Swapping the ac will only require sliding the old one out and the new one back in. Now I only have to get my great nephew up here to help. ;)

The kid is shooting well, then. Boy, I love it up there. We're trying to plan a family (kids and grandkids) three day weekend up there this summer. Daughters and I really miss the three day Outdoor Women retreats we've done for many years. Thought we'd do our own and invite everyone. We are founders members. Hoping to get one of the larger houses out by the archery areas.

She's shooting really well. She's exhausted though, already asleep. We tried to get one of the, cabins out by the archery range but they were already filled. We ended up in competor housing which I think was better for us. The cabins don't have heat AND we have a full kitchen. We have to share the kitchen with 4 other rooms but only 1 other family is here and they "don't cook".

Those aren't bad at all. But they do get cold. That's where the put us ladies us for ladies retreats. The last time we went though, one of my daughters was not in the states at the time, so brought two of my daughters. So for bunking arrangements, I was odd man out and had to wait and see who my roommate was. We had a man dressed as a woman crash our retreat for the three days, so daughters thought for sure I'd end up with him/her. Ha. My roommate was a nice lady my age who worked at Sandia Labs. The last time we were up there, there was barbeque available at the skeet range restaurant for those that didn't cook.

gotta get my eyes checked, I read that as FEMA targets and wondered that they were preparing so well :)

I'm glad you got the right roomie for the retreat that other time. That's not even fair to others.

So far, input all relevant Birth dates into computer calendar (something I have put off for way too long), am marinating little pork steaks for the GF grill, and made DH his favorite Pineapple fluff dessert. I have never used my microwave to cook (only reheat and defrost), but I made baked potatoes in it yesterday and was so much faster and no heating up the house. Now, I know that microwaves aren't good for the food or us and won't use it often but it sure was a time and heat saver! Actually, we very rarely ever have baked potatoes, probably less than a dozen times in 30 years. Otherwise, I would probably have used that method before.

Now eBay!

The kid is done with shooting. This morning while they were shooting there were a couple of tom turkeys fighting next to the range. They had the attention of everyone on the range. I tried to get pictures of them for y'all but they were out of range of my phone camera. I guess y'all will have to settle for the deer.
