Well did my duty and nobody loves me. Answered the call for jury duty. Sat around for about 6 hours, no nothing, no jury selection process, just sat there reading free story on kindle (Thanks all for those Free book posts).

How can you say nobody loves you? You were allowed to take your kindle with you? That's cool.

I was at least hoping to making it into the jury selection process. Twice I have been summoned and both times, I get stuck in th waiting room. I do admit, Pima County Superior courthouse has a very nice setup. Comfy chairs, free wireless and even some computers to help kill time. The only thing missing is free parking, YES, I know I am a cheapskate. A dollar saved is another bullet for the armory. :ghostly:

Thank you everyone for the birthday and anniversary wishes for DH and I :), we had a good day. @Terri9630 yes we had our temple wedding on my birthday and we planned it that way as it was DH's suggestion. Our civil wedding anniversary is on the 27th of August for our 13 years.

@Patchouli thank you for your encouragement but we do try and pace ourselves and what we get done gets done and being retired the rest can wait. We try and work around what DH's back pain is like and some days we can do more and some days nothing at all. Our method is to stay fairly much ahead on everything and then if DH goes down in a crashing heap with pain then we don't have to panic about getting lots of things done.

@Peanut glad you got out of the big box store with much less expenditure than you thought.

Didn't get much done today but did do a little tidying up in the house, picked up some prescription pain killers for DH from the pharmacy, posted a sale from eBay, picked up stamps at the post office and went and saw the RSL club about how to add more medical conditions to DH's white card and picked up a letter from our doctor for that. Then had a friend drop around to try on some clothing I had grown out of as I texted her and we also had a pair of overalls that were her husbands size that DH was given that were too large for him. The family is really struggling and they both run part time jobs and I know she doesn't have a lot of clothing so I am glad she did take nearly all of the clothing I sorted through and I like to see clothing going to those who need it.

When we got home we supplement watered the newly planted seeds and sprouted vegetable seedlings in the gardens.

Tomorrow looks like a cooking and preserving produce day and we should have some more sweet corn to pick from the gardens and if I have time I will do a little more on sorting out my summer clothing and what I fit into and what I have grown out of. I must be one of the very few women out there who is actually happy that I have put on weight as I needed to.

Watered garden, containers and hugelkultur pile. Later will mop floors and dust. Maybe turn compost and clean up greenhouse.
All seeds are coming up nicely some may have been planted too late, will see.
It has been a beautiful spring ,it is bad when winter here goes right into summer, so springs are really nice with cool mornings and warm days.

Yesterday I trimmed around the house, the trees, sheds, grape arbors etc. and then weed eated both sides of around 300 ft. of the 450 ft duck fence. After that me and a neighbor pulled the pier and dock posts up out of the pond and set the pier on the cement steps so I can reset the 1 dock posts back in the right way,it had tilted to the point the pier was about under water on the end closest to the pond's bank. Today so far I had to mow another neighbor's 2 acres of yard, plus went in town and loaded a free dog house into the truck. I'm getting to old for this crap,it's doing a number on me. It's going to be a busy week too, tomorrow's our monthly pay day which is paying bills, getting a month supply of stuff. Then Friday we're going to try and get another dog if the knew internet guy doesn't come. Saturday I have to go to Ft. Wayne which is about a 3 hour round trip,to get the dozen of largemouth bass and dozen of striped bass. Then the beginning of next week fix the dock posts,be here for the internet guy and pick up the 2 African geese if they hatched. Friday I also need to try and fix the dog house so we can use it temporarily until I can get a good 1. Oh crap,we also have to go to Dunkirk tomorrow to pick up another dog house. We may wind up having to go to Montpelier to get another dog and dog house, which if we do I won't have to fix the house I got today or look for another dog....Have I got everybody confused yet???? I know MY head is spinning  :eyeballs:

Branches, twigs and tree limbs are pickup from the front yard. Still daylight so I decided to mow, no gasoline for the mower. Since I've converted the generator to LP the prority of keeping gas on hand (3 - 5 gallon jugs) is low.

Hubby wants to ride his mower but I ask him to wait till grass seeds and right before a rain.

It is time to get up and get going. I like to hose down porch before I mop so we don't track dust into the house. So see yall later.

Porch is done but floors will wait.

Air is heavy, could have problems breathing later.
So far still have electricity, water.
Got my pj's on, cup of coffee, life is good.
Finally got Strawberry settled for the night, she's using nightlight just until storm is over.

we are going to seminars about blueberries from planting to canning. something the extension office is doing. we've got some time so why not? might learn something. so since i am retiring this might help toward making our little farm more productive with fruit and money.

How many more days, Timmie?? Very excited for you.
Off to make husband breakfast, a lunch to take to work, get the animals fed and to also go to work. Hoping none of my staff call in sick. It's supposed to be a little warmer in the evenings, so planning to get the meat chickens set up outside. Husband has injections in his spine scheduled for tomorrow morning, so today is my Friday. Granddaughter will be camping with American Heritage Girls starting tomorrow evening, so need to get her gear checked. Have a great day, everyone!

Thanks Snap. So is DW dear wife? I know hubby sounds a little corny but all I can think of without typing so much.:green man:

Yes, ma'am! Although I can think of a few other interpretations for both when I'm irritated! LOL

Today, I'm listing eBay, sweeping house, taking old lamp out to shed (because DH is sure he will fix it someday) and washing rugs. If I have the ambition, I may make some homemade egg noodles. Hopefully, not leaving the house! Yesterday and the day before were so exhausting with all the running! DH had his last EGD yesterday and all is clear, so yay!

We have opposite agendas, I want to get away from here for while and you want to be able to stay home for awhile, lol.

DH wants to take boat out soon. He sure earned it all work we did to it.

For me, any day that I don't have to leave the house is a win! There is always more to do here than if I was working elsewhere!

13 working days and i can hardly wait. hope everything goes well for your hubby

. some friends at work said with everything i have going on i'll wonder how i could manage the store and the farm and my parents and now my sil. they give me 2 weeks. i like to keep busy . but the first couple of weeks are mine to get my house in order before i get started trying to get my parents to move closer to my sister and me.

the blueberry thing we went to was okay. we did actually learn some new things about pruning and planting and so forth, but the lady that did the blueberry pie filling, not so good. she used mrs wages something. i personally don't like it ,i prefer my grandmother's recipe.and she told us all that if it wasn't usda approved not to do it. then she had us fill in a mini test paper. i put no to usda approved and yes i will continue to use mayo jars. i think me and the other 20 women could have taught her a lot about canning. but to say she was dead wrong is not accurate , she is all about food safety and that i understand. just so far nothing we have canned has made us sick and certainly hasn't killed any of us.:D:D
