Well husbands woken up early yet again. Boom boom boom boom boom.
Went over and told them that the sheriff has been called. Amazingly English was all of a sudden spoken. Told the guy I’ve asked for 4 years and I’m done. I’ve asked that guy (pointing to guy who can’t hear due to his bass) multiple times over the last few months as well as his BOSS telling him no music. Explained that someone was sleeping and continually being woke up by this crap. Guy immediately went and tried to get the other guys attention with no luck. Saw him walk that way when I teed off walked my way home again. “Music” has stopped for the moment.
So much for enjoying some outside time. Sigh

I can't keep up with all of the posts.
Inresponse, I hope your daughter is feeling better.
Ben, thanks for the link about Starlink. I have the newer dish that is improved. It does drop and I get some latency during online games, but it's tolerable and most of the time the gaming is *much* faster and more reliable than my old service. I was able to download in a few minutes what would have taken days in the past. My brother is in a much better mood. He hugged me and thanked me for stirring his tea while he put his milk away. Normally he'd get cranky, but he realized I was doing it to be nice and he's so much happier with better internet and getting to talk to our sister more.
I'm going to have to help my mother set up her laptop with some sort of headset so she can listen to her music via bluetooth. Laptop speakers are too quiet. I have the same issue on my laptop. I have to use subtitles.
I cooked yellow rice for Mom- she's been wanting it for a few days now. Also cooked some chicken for her. I'm thinking of making myself a porkchop later but I'm resting. Still getting tired easily. But I'm feeling better in general.

Went out on a early dinner date with the boy and his girlfriend. I had a little burger.

So much fun when teens start dating. With 5 girls I had boys at my house regularly. Fed them, they wrestled, played games and I sent them home, I miss those days. Enjoy them hashbrown. It goes so fast.

This is the second time she has been out with us, I could tell the girl was horribly nervous the first time but she was much more at ease this time.

I also went to 2 different businesses to find the silver wrap to put on my hvac duct that the mice have gnawed through 3 times. I've wrapped with plastic and duct tape and they go right through it. Thought I would get the silver wrap, metallic tape that the installers use, but couldn't find any. Even went to a dealership. They have a shortage. Guess I will go under the house and rewrap and tape until I get the repair tape I need.
Cram it with steel wool before you tape it, steel wool hurts their little teeth.

That is so awesome! Really happy for you!
While my true health issues are “worse” I'm so much healthier now. Lost far more than doctor said i should. I’m considered a healthy weight now but wish i could loose another 15. Don’t think it would be heathy though and my body said where I’m at now is where i need to be. Work very hard to use as much from our own doings as possible too. Has dramatically reduced monthly costs. With the high inflation that has been VERY helpful for us.
Very much appreciated the prayers :huggs:
Thanks again - it's amazing when you start taking your health as your own responsibility, what you can achieve - especially if you are willing to use yourself as a guinea pig. I've done more experimentations on myself with great success it's amazing!

Wow! @hashbrown Did you pull a tape on that thing? I'm not sure just how one would go about eating that.
@Neb Isn't it great when everything falls into place?
@TeeJ I was thinking that it hadn't been that long since you started on your diet. That's awesome! It will probably take your system a bit to "acclimate" to the weight loss but bet you really are feeling better.
@Mountain trapper Maybe you shouldn't play with sharp tools 😂 Now don't be doin' that any more - got that? (Insert shaking Mama finger at you.)

Made lotion today, cleaned house, did some laundry. Fun part is it was nice enough I hung the laundry out in the summer kitchen rather than in the house. I think yesterday was in the upper 60's which was gorgeous. Supposed to rain Monday. I know it sounds like a boring day, but you know what - sometimes those days are needed.

Meeting first thing this morning to select more canidates to interview for 3 more job we need to fill. Picked out 8 and will be interviewing 2 per day next week. Worked on quotes for a project I'm putting together, ordered parts for some other work we are doing. Found out 400' of conduit I've been waiting on was delivered Jan 24th. No idea where it's at. Thats holding up another project. Then right before lunch, one of my techs called and said he had just tested positive for the vid. His wife tested + on Monday and medical had him wait until today to test. He went straight home and we had a decon crew come thru and spray his truck, work bench, and locker area. He will retest Thursday. Said he had noticed no difference in his health, neither had the wife.
It got up to 68 today, last couple days I've been pruning blueberries after work. Finished them up tonight. I'll fertilize tomorrow for them, and for the asparagus bed.

Setting free the french guineas today. I hope they stick around! I hope they don't get picked off tonight by a raccoon or something! It's very nerve racking after raising them from chicks.
Cooking a birthday supper for my favorite cousin who is 74 today. And then we'll wrap it all up and bring it to her and her family. and have a party. I'm making ham, scalloped potatoes, fresh green beans, fruit salad, and we're having a brownie ice cream cake for dessert. Her daughter that lives next to her usually pulls something together, but she is sick, and I don't want the day to go by without being special.

There is a local place that serves a "WTF Burger". Looks pretty similar, but I have never tried it. A man has got to know his limitations.

The forum software censor version is hilarious :)

That burger is called the "Kitchen Sink" I didn't even come close to eating it. I brought it home and the kid finished it off as a late night snack.

Went to an unusual event last night. The local Boomers Recreation Facility grand re-opened one of their amusement parks last night, just for adults. there was beer and wine, all arcade games, miniature golf, ax throwing, virtual reality machines, go carts, and power boats. We had a blast reliving our past with no kids allowed.

Favorite cousin's kids (some of them, she has 8) and grandkids just arrived from way north in vans to surprise her for her birthday for the whole weekend. Grandkids and great grandkids, too, so I'm postponing the dinner I'm making her for later in the week. She'll appreciate it more when it's quiet and she has nothing to do. It's hard to get her out for something because she's a caretaker for her husband. So no massive cooking today. We set the guineas free and the older outside nine guineas came running over to boss the 24 newbies. They yelled at them and had them all huddled on the ground, dogpiled really. Establishing pecking order. Everyone seems pretty mellow now. I did find one way aways from the others, staring at the garage door and yelling at it. We got him herded back to the group. The young ones will have to learn the ways of the flock now. I'm sure we'll lose some, but hope they do well. Mom just called and is having a coherent day and says she's bored so we're picking her up and bringing her for a walk around a large plant nursery. Don't think they'll have much yet, but their greenhouses are beautiful. The twins are both at work all day, so we'll just have little granddaughter.

Housesitting, last day of being gone for 10 days, if the client's flight takes off in time. St. Thomas, where there are no drinking fountains in the airport, so you will have to buy a $4 bottle of water after they make you wait a couple hours for your flight. Anyone else ever been to St. Thomas? Report is that there are so many challenges with traveling there. Everything is expensive.

Jim

If that sweet face doesn’t make your weekend I don’t know what will! 😍😍😍😍

Sitting in a dank old Hills type bar waiting on them to cook a pizza for Alexandra and Jake. They make fabulous pizza! I’d hate to see the place with the lights on and I made sure tetanus shot was up to date. The fire feels good though!

There’s a few places like that around here. Hadn’t considered the updated tetanus shot though 😂 They usually do have great food.
