Got some weeding done in the garden and everything watered. Supposed to get some rain about 4 am, and the farmers are hurting for it, so I hope we do. But watered just in case not. My favorite cousin and the whole family are leaving for Ohio Tuesday 2am for the start of all the family weddings...this one for a granddaughter. They'll be gone all week long, so I'm supposed to let them know if anything is going on. They'll bring the black box phone. With the twins help, got the goose run half way done, we'll finish it up tomorrow, and add the bells and whistles to it later during the week, then get them moved. Their indoor milkhouse big cage will need to be used to house two baby turkeys that are currently in our family room. And not happy about it. Front lawn mowed and trimmed by grandson, looks better. The day was long, and I am tired. Full of fried mush and liverwurst at my cousins. Brought home a couple of gallons of raw milk to make more butter.

I'm still waiting on @jishinsjourney's visit to the train museum report, I wonder if they were able to leave empty handed (I was never able to). ;)

Let us know how much fun ya'll have!!😃

We had a great time! Sorry, we got home kinda late and I was too tired to internet last night. :p The museum is fabulous. The craftsmanship is impeccable! We were ooh-ing and aaah-ing over all the fantastic detail and how beautifully even the rock formations were constructed. Definitely recommend if you’re out this way.

We also found tasty lunch at the Rio Grande restaurant, and a used bookstore and a terrific antique/mercantile shop. Very much worth the trip!

Edited to add: In terms of leaving empty-handed, I got a patch for my patch vest (I have apparently never stopped being a Girl Scout) and we found enough dinos to go home with two little dino models for playing the Eye Spy game. And we got a few books at the used bookstore and the antique place!

I'm headed home. The weather is garbage, just above freezing and rain. It was snowing pretty hard west of North Platte and traffic was down to 55 mph on I-80 but we're back up to 75 mph now. I'm having a quick stop for gas and a bathroom break at North Platte and then I'll be on my way. Can't quite reach home on one tank from here, but the bathroom break couldn't wait any longer so I guess I'll have to fill up again...

I'm still feeling exhausted but I got up early and had my brother help me take the puppies to the vet for exam & vaccines. Turns out they are around 7 months old now, no worms, & they now are fully vaccinated against parvo, rabies, and whatever else they give at that age. Peanutbutter will either need to get spayed or rehomed with someone who wants to breed her. Jelly puked all over her in the truck. Vet said they should be easily adopted. I hope she's right. She suggested they could be hunting dogs but I said they are cowards. They do not like walking on leashes. They lie down and have to be dragged or picked up and carried.
I'm about to take a nap.

Drive safe! Hopefully it clears up soon.

Oh, I know. But we’ve already got a bunch of Lego city buildings and a pile of wargaming miniatures. No model trains for us unless we do Lego or decide to clear out one of the other hobbies.
We have a Lego lounge for the granddaughters and up stairs is the train room.

Been reading forums for several hours today.
Resting from having impromp Granny sleepover this last Saturday at Granny's house.
Had grand daughter until 1030 hours on Sunday.
Her dad picked her back up.
Her mom started new job closer to home, more money.
Her mom will drive 30-45 minutes to new job instead of 2.5 hours to nursing job.
So Granny will have grand daughter on Wednesday until dad wakes up( dad works 3rd shift), (mom works 1st shift).
This will work until Summer school starts in June for grand daughter.
Grand daughter will be 5 in June and this year she will start Kindergarten when school starts.
Her birthday fell wrong last year, but she starts her school adventures this year.
Dad is hanging in there, day at a time.
Been walking about 1.5 miles every morning at the park.
Then coming home and exercising, riding recumbent bike for 1.5 mile too.
Tired today.
My garden was planted willy- nilly on Sunday but little helper was tired.
Will have to cook today or tomorrow.
Sipping coffee, reading forums.
Might do dab of dishes,
Already took out trash.

Hi Mo
Sounds like a nap is in order
Thanks Amish Heart.
Good to be back for today at least.
No such luck today.
Grand daughter is coming over to hang out with Granny .
She's going to help with Chores.
We're cooking Ramen Noodles,with leftover chicken ,broccoli,mushrooms.
Oh boy!

I'm not doing much today. It's raining, 50° and the wind is blowing.
We took a short trip to Leavenworth, WA. on Sunday. For those that don't know Leavenworth is a tourist area in the Cascade mountains designed like a Bavarian town. One gift shop after another with restaurants, specialty food places, and art shops mixed in.
Wall to wall people. I hate crowds but we needed to get away from home for a little while.
We're still trying to cope with my brother's death.

Thanks Amish Heart.

The dwarf apple trees are loaded with flowers. The eldest granddaughter enjoyed the scent.

That brings me up to 5 of the 11 set to go. I wondered up to the north end to check to see how my secret plot in the woods.

Grand daughter has gone home now.
She helped Granny pick up all of her toys and put them away.
We sliced and diced vegetables, mushrooms, boneless chicken air fried(leftovers), red and orange pepperswith Ramen noodles. We had dessert of Pistahio nuts, diet coke.
She's full and ready for a nap.:p.
And so is Granny.
Dishes are done.

Strawberries were cheap at the grocery store today (I do not have plants yet — gotta figure out where we’re putting them) — so I loaded up. I have the dehydrator going with a load of strawberries and a jar of strawberries and vodka sitting to make liqueur. Yum!

Rest of the day will be laundry, setting up my monthly calendar, and maybe making a gluten-free flour blend …

Supervised the delivery of 40 tons of limestone and spreading on the driveway.

Disassemble the compost barrel she wanted me to build for her. After a mouse ran across it she refuses to use it. Couple at church will take it.

Fixed my lunch.

Took a nap.

watched some “how to” YouTubes

Fixed my lunch.

Got home around 7. Had to make a stop at a grocery store I don't usually go to, because it was the only one that was on my route within 40 minutes of home. I won't be returning if I can help it. The selection sucked.

I found out that one of our local over the air TV stations added Newsmax "N2" channel to its lineup so I'm going to watch that for a while tonight and see if there's anything good on.

Hubby was still out working the little 💩! After supper, he went into his bathroom and blew his nose. I thought he was getting in the shower. He's about half sick, congested etc. I thought maybe something happened & went to make sure he was okay. He went back out to finish unloading the trailer. I went and picked up a trailer of shredded trees - course mulch??? to put in the bottom of the planter boxes. He's excited to have things growing in them. Got it all unloaded. Tomorrow I will go get a couple scoops of sand - then compost - then seeds/plants - yay! He needs to rest! It's been raining most of the day so it's too wet to do much out there.

Take care of him, but mostly YOU! You know how guys are!😉

Took DW in to get her bandage off from the hip replacement, her doctor is real happy with her progress, two weeks since the operation was done. We just don't use that many drugs and some of what she is taking to keep abnormal bone growth from happening has given her stomach aches.

Hopefully she heals well and this is soon in the past!!

@Neb @jishinsjourney I thought it was a big train museum, bummer. :( I like small trains too lol. Long ago I worked for Pullman Std building train cars. Later I used to ride amtrak to New Orleans when I worked off shore. I’ve always wanted to take a train ride across country, maybe one day. I checked ticket prices to New Orleans recently. Round trip is about $100. Amtrak finally dropped the mask crap couple weeks ago.

Ben, got any cohosh on that ridge? Solomons seal? It looks a lot like the mtn did on my herb hunting trip. This is blue cohosh. Have some black cohosh photos somewhere. It's distinctively different than blue c.
