Actually, the vet told me that canned pumpkin was a good choice since it is easy on the stomach and had lots of fiber. He said to keep offering it to him if he will eat it to help keep things moving.
It's very good for them! And yes, fiber helps many belly issues!

Will walk first.
Pick up friend and go to Walmart for monthly stock up.
Walk dogs.
Not sure what I will do this afternoon.

It was voted to pursue a merger with another Church-quite a bit farther away. Also voted to accept an offer to sell the Church. Sigh.
I'm sure the church is just wanting to grow, but I don't like change! Hope that all works out!!

Still packing up cabin. Today will most likely go over to my brother's to pick his lima beans and potatoes. Gonna glean the rest of his garden while I'm there. Make a stop at the cheese store while we're on the mainland and stock up for the winter. Scoot around town a little while there are few tourists.

Yesterday I got the last bit of merino+ fiber spun up. Cleaned and waxed the spinning wheel. Mostly just puttered around here--it was damp and chilly, mostly raw. Got a lot of outside crap done.

Tomorrow will be clean out fridge day. It will also be putting away my cousin's memorial lighthouse for the winter. When he died 2 years ago his wishes were that his ashes be spread up here overlooking the water. He's got a great view now.

Water the essential trees & plants. Set up appointment for swapping rubber at Discount Tire. Town run later to pick up some things for tomorrow's ride. Drop stack of books at library. Maybe rig my Pawleys Island Hammock later in the yard, now that the bugs are thinning out a bit... I have webbing "tree straps" for the hammock, so I don't have to put any screws into the wood, I'll just hook the hammock to the existing tree straps every time I wanna use it. Bring the hammock inside when it's not in use, that'll extend its life by years... solar abuse and wind damage are real here in the high desert, lol.

I learned yesterday that the hand who previously gave me a quote at Discount Tire only rang up two tires, not a complete set, so instead of the $285 I thought I'd be paying, it'll be double that amount, and I'll have to swap out two tires at a time. I can't afford to buy all four at once right now, and I won't put enough mileage on the two new tires in one month to make any appreciable difference in wear. So, two new tires this month & two the next... just how it's gonna be here in the boondocks. Now that I have a new front tire on the cycle, I'll be riding that more often & using the car mainly for store runs.

When bin shopping this morning, Dollar General for more flats of $10 qt jars, another discount store called Ollies that had the My Pillows for $19.99. We have one, got two more. Dollar Tree for a few items. Bin shopping was sparse today. Some weeks are like that. Husband just left for PT, neighbor came by for eggs and talk. I'm having pie and coffee, and then seriously need to get my behind in gear. 12 3 week old chicks need to go out to the milkhouse, more chicks are hatching today in the incubator, two so far. I set that brooder up. Lots of laundry and put aways to do.

Went and volunteered at the old cemetery for a couple of hours. If any of you come through Little Rock, Tales from the Crypt is back this year! I checked on my cradles and cleaned up some of the irises per Steve's request.

Went to my endocrinologist for lab work.

Sat and glared at a construction crew who had my street blocked off with a digger and a huge dump truck.

Went home and told Mom do not go to Lowe's because of the construction crew.

These are some of the blooms from my cradles. Obedient Plant and Mums.

Finished two small forums last night.
Might try to tame my hair sometime today.
Looks like I stuck my finger in light socket but without the natural curl.
Spiky.
Reading forums this morning.
Paying bills.
Crocheting on a blanket.
Read two more forums and sub forums start to finish.
Had lunch.
Getting ready do up dab of dishes.
Pay bills.

I'm sure the church is just wanting to grow, but I don't like change! Hope that all works out!!
The ones who seek to move want to be in a more affluent area and have said so. I hope it works out for them.

Prices still going up at Walmart. Glad it's done for now.

Just got to work..
Power went out on us last night here just after me n my forklift driver were talking about the lightning storm outside n power outages here in the past.
I had just taken off my hardhat to braid my hair , standing by my control console n boom..
Darkness n quiet.. everything stops, no even the emergency lights on..
It was eerie..
I heard the trimmer operator holler out..using his phone light to see.
I'm slowly feeling my way to my hardhat..just as I grab it n see the trimmers phone light up above ..power comes back on.
Of course everyone is getting on the intercom..my forklift driver on the radio ..
All the machines were twacked..half the mill was still dark. The cogent was down, two kilns were down..
My driver said he didnt see us get hit but there was good lightning out.
I was able to get my machine going n finished up what I had n shut down.
Nothing caught fire so now it was getting back online..were still working on parts of that now ..gunna be a slow night..

I just put a new lamp on my hard hat monday too..my last one worked but it's not real bright.
This one is really bright n I can focas n narrow down the light..it us heavier tho..trade off..
N yes that's duct tape..I like stuff to stay put.
Looks like more weather comming in too..

I settled on the side by side and finalized getting it unpacked yesterday. Loaded up miscellaneous straps and stuff.

Got brave enough to take it for a ride today to The Ridge.

20220929_142533_HDR.jpg

Actually did something useful putting in a stake near the boundary stake so it will be easier to find. Did my neb thing and talked to the foreman of the crew that is building the new animal hospital next door. Made sure they had plans for managing the spring run off that comes down off of The Ridge. All is fine.

Then I fetched the eldest granddaughter so she could mow our grass. She is motivated to get over with fast and does so.

Tomorrow is probably installing more sensors for the Simplisafe alarm system.

Less pain last night but still struggling to find a comfortable position to get some sleep.
Landshark broke out of her crate AGAIN jumped all over me and soaked me and the bedding in urine AGAIN.
I'm in two minds...my bedroom door was open and preferred port of call is my bedroom and failing that it's the couch and then she gets bored with that and starts getting destructive with the couch and it's slip cover and the what's on the coffee table - mainly my laptop and cords.
She may even go and bring any shoes she can find to the couch so she can chew them up in comfort.

So that's the sadistic choice...get the bed and myself urinated on or my laptop, couch and shoes destroyed.

She had another ear infection/ inflamed ear canal from her allergy from eating duck poop so I shoved two Loratadine down her neck and put her back in her crate and zip tied it closed.
Loratdatine can be safely given to dogs as allergy medication.
This morning the inflammation is gone and her canal and the inside of her ear leathers is a pale pink instead of an angry purple and she isn't chewing her paws.

Mel I had to laugh at the last pic. My wife has a pair of those exact same shoes. She loves them.
Nice flowers BTW

Went ahead and paid for two new tires on the front end of the Camry, since Discount Tire had an open slot at 11:30---only took 'em about an hour, no worries. Next month, I'll buy two more tires for the rear wheels, then I'll be golden and I'll also be over the "rubber hump" (as I call it), with no more rubber to buy for a number of years. Had to pay about $310 for two tires, so they've definitely gone up in price. Oh, well, this tire swap needed to be done, those front tires were starting to look pretty worn on the edges, though there was a little bit of tread left on top. Better to go with new rubber...

I picked up some more Western novels at the library, paid two utility bills, and bought a bunch of stuff today to resupply. However, the sky clouded over this afternoon and if it's still cloudy tomorrow, I'll probably postpone the bike ride, as I want clear blue skies for photos. I can always do yard work and pull goatheads, lol... that's where an overcast day comes in handy. But maybe it'll be okay, the NOAA Weather forecast says "Mostly sunny" for Friday, so I may be able to enjoy my ride after all... we'll see tomorrow morning. I can always wait a day or two for better weather if necessary...

After all that running around, I feel like relaxing and reading a good book tonight. Some nights I don't feel like sitting up and watching TV, I'd sooner get horizontal and read a good book. I already ate dinner, and I don't feel like drinking beer ("Call CNN!!!"), so a Western novel it is! Comfortably tired as I am, it probably won't be long before I'm snoozing anyway... I ran a few errands today, so I've earned the rest, lol. Little Z-Girl is lying near me on the dining room table, keeping me company as I key this post. The others are probably outside... almost time to bring 'em in for the night. :)

I thought the peeing would have stopped when she got fixed!!😮 She doesn't know how lucky she is to have you!!

She's still a huge spaz puppy in her head.
I don't know at what age the breed matures mentally but it hasn't happened yet.
We had a different breed, but we had a young female that we had to get fixed a little early (while she was in the puppy stage), she never did outgrow the puppy stage.... Hope you have better luck.

Well my SUV is in the shop. We dropped it off early since the storm is coming and there might be flooding. I just could see me getting stuck in the pouring rain waiting for AAA to come....
Went shopping on way back , still almost no ice cream.
Got ready for lots of rain yesterday. Moved some hay bales around, got the barn ready to put the animals in, stacked some more wood that's still in a pile outside and did all the laundry

Happy belated birthday and hope you get a vehicle Spikedriver! There is not much out there for used vehicles. When I dropped my Yukon off at the dealer to get fixed I asked what used ones they had : NONE ! They had a smaller one than mine, with MORE miles and it was $39000 Yikes!

Urbanhunter happy belated anniversary

Oh and the hay dried, but looks brown and nasty. They are eating it however

Gah. It's 0521 and I'm halfway through my morning commute. I'm actually working close to home right now, but it's 59 miles, one way. We're doing 12 hour days and we were informed that due to scheduled train traffic we have to install the switches we're building on our normal days off. So next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday we have to work 13 hour days, 2am to 3pm! Of course it's all "voluntary" overtime. Big Poppa Joe will be glad to see my contribution to the federal budget next month...🙄

I feel your pain, and it reminds me why I was glad to take the companies offer of "early retirement" :RIF

Today, when Lori comes back from tending the animals at Gorman Heritage Farm, we shall go to Rural King, for bird seed, and whatever else looks
interesting.

Still want a 410, but ammo is not on the shelf, so 20 will have to do.

Today I'm stuck at work until 3pm. Then home and get the small boat flipped and into position for winter. I already removed the seats so it's good to go. Maybe some outdoor chores after that, might tear up the last of my garden.

Tomorrow we're going to the Big E for the day. Well, since we get there when it opens we're usually done walking around, shopping and eating by like 2pm. First thing I need is a bucket of freshly made mini donuts with cinnamon sugar.

And you didn't invite us :p

No mini donuts :(, so : Pulling out the old landscape lights, and putting up new LED light string. It should perk Fort Orpington up.
