Covid seems to have finally loosened its grip on me. I took a three hour, stone cold, dead to the world nap this afternoon and woke up feeling pretty much normal. And I'm still feeling pretty much normal. I may skip church in the morning, just in case I might still be a bit contagious. There's no point in being packed into a room with a bunch of people, is there?

Tonight I can't sleep after that ridiculous long nap. I'm watching 13 Hours, and eating popcorn...

Big, meaty, sexy post, you should read it and click the arrow.

Glad you feel normal, I mean better!!😁♥️

It's a cold morning here, will have to unfreeze all the animal water. Getting ready to make husband breakfast, and I'll enlist little granddaughter's help with the animal chores. Planning to take her to the bigger town to Walmart to get her gift exchange shopping done. And some more cookie baking this afternoon.

Bought a new phone. Got home and discovered the cable in the box was usb-c to usb-c. I need usb to usb-c, couldn’t even charge it, much less transfer data. So another 40mile trip was necessary.

Couldn’t get mad at the kid who sold me the phone. There was a cable in the box for charging and transferring data just like he said. I failed to ask if It’d connect to any of my 5yr old electronics at home.

He’s actually a good kid. I went in the store a couple years ago, a bad cfs day. Shouldn’t have been out in public. This same kid was great, really helped me with a purchase. Knowledgeable, knows every product and where it’s located in his dept. Usually don’t get any service or help at the super center. This kid really stood out. I spoke to the manager about him.

When I got to electronics the 2nd time this evening. The kid was great again and very apologetic. Went right to the cable I needed.

Got the phone charged but still haven’t turned it on yet. 2 trips to town left me overly tired and unable to understand the simple setup instructions. I’ll look at a few websites in the morning, get familiar with setup.

I don’t even need to set it up for calling though. I only bought it for the camera. There has been a shortage of cameras for sale the last 9/10 months. I've spent hours seaching and can't find one at a reasonable price. There are no discounts, in fact... The camera I want is only available as a factory refurb with a 60% price increase. This phone is a lot cheaper and it's cameras do a heck of a lot more.
What camera are you looking for?

I use the cannon point and shoot cameras. I'm on my 4th one in 20yrs. They are decent little cameras. They are fairly cheep... in case I fall into a river. I go through rough terrain occasionally. Seems I get soaked at least once a year.

Point two, I don't need a high priced camera but I do wish I had one that does close ups of say... a bloom or fine hairs on a plant stem. My last one was a cannon elph 180. I was looking at the elph 360. It'll do what I need but they are unavailable.

Really cheap cameras, less than $150, are available. Cameras over $500 are available. I can't seem to find one in the $250-350 range that'll do what I need.

But I bought a new phone yesterday. Factory unlocked, about $250. Has 3 cameras in it.

weather today : same , wet fog at the moment, alternating with drizzle

I don't want to do this anymore!! Husband says " this too will pass"
Surprised the animals are not sick yet

Dogs got out yesterday and we had to put a battery on the electric fencing running on solar, no solar....
One of the dogs got covered in cockleburs and I spend an hour cutting them off with scissors
Just made bread dough, an experiment, not what I usually bake, will see if it turns out

Nothing wrong with navy's uniforms--they were styled honoring NASA. The picture is of Army's uniforms. I thought the looked a little old-fashioned, except for the helmet.

Here's an article on the designs.

The best year for their uniforms was 2015 when the helmets were hand painted with ships of the fleet.

Still got one of those throaty coughs from flu, but otherwise feeling OK. Not great, but better than the other day. Still a little tired but will be going to work tomorrow.

Going to try to get the tree set up today, but running up and down the stairs to the garage is not appealing to me today. It's cold and gloomy here. Flurried a little as I left Dad's after breakfast. Even the dog is just lazing about and she's usually wound up like a jack-in-the-box.

Yakkin' on the phone for several hours... the soon-to-be-obsolete 3G flip-phone, I've already purchased a 4G flip-phone to replace it, lol. Otherwise, I'm enjoying a quiet Sunday morning here, it's a gorgeous day outside, nothing but blue skies & sunshine... might even hit the high 60s or possibly 70* F this afternoon! Rain in the forecast tomorrow, but I intend to get out and enjoy some sunshine this afternoon! Putter around the yard a bit, I still have to drive one metal stake into the ground to support a fence post... that'll be an easy task and a pleasure on such a fine day. I might rig my tree slings for the Pawleys Island Hammock too, I've been meaning to do that lately... just got sidetracked. I gotta water the trees too... 😒

Meant to have a bonfire this morning to burn off some more wood, but then the phone rang, lol... so I'll have the fire tonight or possibly tomorrow morning, that would be good timing with a storm system moving into the area sometime tomorrow. The rain or snow (if it materializes) will ensure the fire is out, lol. Might be snow, since this is a cold front, I saw snow symbols in the NOAA Weather forecast. Meh, today the weather is mighty fine, total shorts & T-shirt weather, lol. I already cracked my first beer, but it was after noon when I cracked it, so I'm "legal!" BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Sheeee-it, I'll drink beer at 0400 if it suits me, I'm a big boy and I can make my own decisions, lol. BTW, this cold beer is delicious! 😉

What else? Oh, yeah, gotta throw a load o' laundry in the washing machine after I grab a shower, and I also want to cook that beef roast this evening, never got to it last night so I just made a sandwich, aye? But Sunday Dinner shall include a primo beef roast, mashed potatoes & brown gravy (plus a little creamy horseradish sauce on the side), and a green salad too, I never made that either last night, lol. No worries, it'll be mighty tasty later this evening! Might watch a movie this afternoon or evening, probably after I get the watering done. That watering will be a good time today, with beer in hand (and maybe a hit of chronic before I even get started, lol), it's a FINE DAY outside and I intend to enjoy it! 😎

Worked outside most of the afternoon. Checked the outdoor Christmas tree lights with a kill-o-watt meter. The verdict is in I can run all the outdoor Christmas lights off my emergency battery backup! Heck it can all be fed off 1 extension cord thanks to the magic of LEDs... Anyway I set the pole to the new base and then attached the topper and wrapped it with garland and lights. I had a 10' pusher pole already made so I figured what the heck.... I was able to swing it up into place by myself! Considering it used to take about 5 people, I think that I have made a big improvement. The light strings are 33' long, they start at the base of the star and come down from there, they can just reach the ground so I would guess the whole thing is just over 35' tall. Getting all the guy wires in place and then anchoring the lights seemed to take forever, they always get tangled.. Anyway, it's up, not perfect but up. I hadn't finished setting it up and people were already stopping and commenting about it...

With it powered off my solar powered battery bank/inverter if we have a total blackout it will be the only thing left on... now that would make a statement!

Now I can get back to normal chores. Tomorrow we get to go the the wife's doctor's visits and while we are there I am scheduled to get some shots.. I hate shots and usually don't respond well....

..as it Really helps 'draw up' / Out deep lung-funk (like dead cells / tissue and 'viral debris'...) and 1-2 Aspirin (If / as you're able to Take it..) daily, as a 'low-grade Blood Thinner', to help prevent 'protein spike gum-ups' in 'endothelial networks' (essentially, microvessels) etc, to help keep microclots from forming.. It Does take awhile for the Body to clear Out all that gunk.. 'Spike Proteins' ain't Supposed to Be in our pipes.. o_O

Thanks. My lungs have been good, only 1 day of coughing and short breath. The anti viral took care of that right away. My worst symptom has been fatigue and insulin resistance. I still get tired easier than normal, but I can run to the store without feeling like I need a nap. In fact I'm going to wally world here in a bit to get a home test and see if the lousy little farts are still running around in my system...

Scattered sprinkles and flurries today with scattered sleet. There is a chance of 1 to 3 inches of snow tonight. My work Christmas party is tonight, 40 miles away by highway, maybe 15 miles if they had a tunnel through the mountain. I decided to take my truck instead of the GF's car just incase the roads get bad. Her car has all wheel drive but in case someone else drives stupid I think my truck would be the safer option.
I slept great last night, relaxed all day, so feeling pretty good finally. I got all fancied up in my new blue jeans and a polo shirt but I am bringing my good red and black flannel just in case it is chilly at the party. Due to the long drive I would skip the party, it will cost more to drive to and from that the price of the 2 free meals, but they usually draw names for some pretty pricey gifts so with the chance I might win something I will venture out into public and brave the deadly (not really) weather and travel conditions. Actually I am not concerned about the drive, hoping for a relaxing evening out in the big town.
