Bonfire? Dude. perfect excuse for a BYOB cook out and hood jam! Hook those 250 AMP speakers in the back of the garage (everybody has some.) into a boom boom box and rock the desert!Meant to have a bonfire this morning to burn off some more wood, but then the phone rang, lol... so I'll have the fire tonight or possibly tomorrow morning,
That's AWESOME!Stayed up late last night and made a double speed loader holster for a shoulder rig, went to church Then came home and trashed the holster because the closure was wonky

Have you toniced her? You need a mixing spoon full of black molasses and food grade white Sulfur. mix it up and smear it on an apple. keep her aside from your other nannys a couple of days and give her a dose every morning. it should give her strength to pass whatever she ate that she shouldn't have. One of granny's ate a Styrofoam mattress! after it got toniced, it passed all that stuff.I'm failing to transition to night shift mode this weekend. Was in bed by 7 last night on a sat night :/
I really wanted to watch a doc on consciousness..maybe today.
My friends took a trip to Egypt and I'm watching after their critters n ranch. One of the goats was injured b4 they left , so they isolated her so she could rest n recover. Unfortunately she went down friday night. I had the vet out yesterday. I'm not very optimistic about the goat recovery, poor sweet goat. I dont know what her injury is..they were going to have the vet out b4 they left but was hopeful because she was mobile isolated n eating..just a bit off.
I plan on starting ma new rug today too.
The elk are back too. Now I'm waiting for the word when the vet calls back. I spent alot of time at my friends ranch today, came home to take care of my stuff n walk my dog with the neighbor. We logged in 3.5 miles and got caught up. Then back to the sick /injured goat. At 8pm I will head back down to the goat to do a final night check or possible euthanasia. This goat was hand raised by my friends , so she is special. The vet cant euthanize tonight..I'm still hopeful she will come around but I dont know.
I started this entry this am n realized I didnt send it , so I updated it now. That's why it's a bit of a timeline.
I actually think the goat is impacted or her gut health is messed up.
Pearls' new theme song.... I'll hear it everytime I see a post from you.Hey, I don't have kids, I'm living through yours!!
I dont have any sulfur but me n the other friend/neighbor who have been tag teaming this are going to try molasses baking soda n a warm mash this am. I've given her some baking soda n the vet gave me a liquid that I could either tube down or offer in water. Luckily she drank it with water n it is supposed to keep bloat at bay. We have her semi propped up against the wall for bloat management as well but she gets squirmy so it's a battle to keep her there. Heavy hay bales help.Have you toniced her? I'll check that out..thanks!Sulfur is cheap and availible in the vitamin isle at any big store. It coats whatever the "plug" is in mucus and slips it out. she may be to weak to do what needs done.
.
I'm up way to early again, but I had a nice morning surprise. The small herd of elk are needed down in my garden..about 50 feet out my front window. Just watching the sunrise.
I'll join them in my lazy chair n drink my coffee n watch the lights fade out. Then off to the goat.
Distilled water is still a challenge to find around here. I just didn't think of it as something to store. I rarely use it, but know people who only use distilled water in countertop appliances, such as coffee makers, to prevent scaling.Red pepper tea will clean your lungs if your stomach will stand it.
Two spoonfuls of crushed red pepper boiled in 1 cup of preferably distilled water, the juice of one lemon and one heaping spoonful of raw honey. drink three a day as hot as you can stand it.
Yay, Teddy drives one more year!!A chilly, gloomy day in the 1/4 acre woods. Paid the bills, ordered next years dog license.
Only time I get too concerned about drinking out of a stream is in the spring with the spring thaw, or if critters are directly upstream. Otherwise, it's actually healthier (depending upon where you are) than city water. No concern about giardia? I've known people and dogs who have had it from drinking out of streams.
I really hope you kick her butt out of the house the second you can!!Husband uses distilled water in his bipap machine.
Odds and ends today. Did the animal chores, then added more straw to the geese and also the turkey runs. Supposed to rain later. It's been drizzly all day. Had to move some bags of chicken feed and scratch around, and dump rabbit poop on the garden...had a few bins of that. Got a broken rocking chair covered and put in storage. Maybe I'll work on it in the spring. Planning on putting up some lights outside this afternoon, if it's not too wet. Granddaughter was insistant on blocking the driveway out again this morning, so we got going a bit later, and just decided not to get into the car till she left. Guess if she can't block my car, she'll just block the whole driveway.
@Weedygarden - when it was scarce around here and running $2-3/gal when you could find it I got my own distiller: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0894R8PP9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . It's an energy hog, but ignoring that it's paid itself off in a year (I use about a gallon a week in my CPAP alone) and keeps my CPAP, clothes steamer and other appliances scale freeDistilled water is still a challenge to find around here. I just didn't think of it as something to store. I rarely use it, but know people who only use distilled water in countertop appliances, such as coffee makers, to prevent scaling.
I'm waiting for his Golden Buckeye card to show up.Yay, Teddy drives one more year!!
