Being grumpy, crabby and have a cold. Vicious dog running loose in the hood, they couldn't find it, but they sure brought the manpower to do so. Had to get dressed, you can't put a .357 in sweatpants :(.Teddy and I cleared the neighbors and our yard, and nothing on security cameras.

One more appointment for a new front entry door and storm door, 50% of the visits didn't bother to send a quote as promised. Merlin liked the "family owned business" guy yesterday, so did we. Today is "Champion", I threw em out 30 years ago, so we will see.

For reference: "Renewal by Anderson" gave us a range of 3000-10000 bucks, nothing firm. Pella failed to send a quote even after reminders.

When I first bought my property and was living in my trailer I bought a used washer and electric dryer and ran them off the generator. Even though the dryer had heat it was faster to hang dry the clothes. By the time I finished hanging them the first ones were dry. I worked my way back down the line folding and stacking in the wash basket. 20 minutes from wash machine to put away in the trailer. The benefits of living in the desert.
We have a gas dryer we use now and an electric from a previous rental situation that did not have gas hook-ups. I wanted to cut our bills before the big move plus have a clothesline for the warm months. I think part of the dryers and washers dying on us so much is K is much more comfortable with laundro-mat machines and over filling them to save quarters. I swears I never had these issues until K and I got married.

Let chickens out and got feeders and waterers filled. Tried letting the smalls out with the flock. Don't think they're quite ready though because there was a pit too much pecking and chasing for my liking. So back into the crate in the run for them. I'll try again in a few days and with just a few of the big girls at a time. Fighting off a migraine since last night so today is going to be a chill inside day for me. Heat index over 110°F again anyways so can't do much outside til later.

Well I got fitted for one of these............................yipee!...............Sigh!

Well, I got the Cologuard test kit that my Dr ordered.
It may spare me from another colonoscopy.
I have about a 50/50 chance of passing it since I already have the 'defective DNA' that they also test for.
There are so many "S" jokes I could do, but I will spare you... all but one :).
DW asked me when I was going to do it, my reply:
"... not until I can get my s**t together".

Could be a life saver! How are those workouts going??

I have yet to use the gym, we went the other day and the car battery decided to give up the ghost and left us sit lol.

I'll be getting after it in earnest once I get a new battery. I think they are gold plated nowadays, I called to price one and they are 200 plus dollars......................say what!!

I passed my Cologuard, but I have no history colon cancer and told the Dr the VHS camcorder was not going that way :p. We negotiated a settle agreeable to both.

Something else will get me, nobody gets out alive.

Entry Door and Screendoor contracts signed, let the waiting begin.

Loaded the travel trailer and we are going to the mountains for four days.
Probably won't have cell service so no internet. I have downloaded several books to my Kindle and movies to my wife's iPad.
20/20/20 rule. 20 minutes of work, 20 minutes of walking, 20 hours of outside time :). Extend the outside time.

Yep, car batteries are stupid expensive now like everything else!!☹️

My doc had them send me one of those kits a few months back. It's still sitting here. Looks complicated. Looks annoying. The cologuard people keep texting me. Ha.
Had little granddaughter's swimming lesson and they got to go down the big slides afterwards, so she liked that. Home for lunch, then back out to the bigger town for mom's doc appt, and that was fine. I crack up, though, cuz she always acts surprised to see me and asks what I'm doing there. Then had to waste an hour, so went to a Goodwill store and found a couple of things. My PT appt was after that, and that was fine. Of course now I have exercises to do. He confirmed that I pulled a muscle on the top of my right thigh. Have to heal it and then strengthen it. It's hotter than heck out, so I'll do indoor stuff till after dinner. I am ticked anyway when I walk past the goose enclosure. Another masacre last night in there. No more baby goose, mama, or eggs. Out of the three remaining, one is badly injured.

I have a confession to make... even after making ready to do some trim work in the kitchen, I just didn't feel up to it, but I DID figure out a better way to break the remaining work into sections. This is NOT a motivational issue, I actually want to get the job done, but I was still a bit stiff & sore from the heavy rolling sessions earlier... not much, but just enough for me to put off the painting one more day. I'm gonna have to do some reaching, stooping, bending, etc, on this kitchen job, and I wanna feel 100% when I tackle it. This morning's wasp sting didn't have anything to do with my decision, it's more of a flexibility issue, lol. So I decided to rest up and get started on the remaining trim work manana... ;)

The day wasn't a total waste, I made a comprehensive list of stuff I need from the stores in town, and I prepped another envelope of newspaper clippings for my best friend in Coronado, that'll get mailed once I'm in town. I have stamps and a small scale here for weighing out postage, but I don't trust the lousy rural delivery service... better to drop the stamped envelope in the box at the Post Office in town, since I gotta go to town in a few days anyway. I won't go until I'm outta beer, I can get by until the fridge runs dry, lol. Otherwise, I'm about to watch a Western on TV, maybe read a Western in my room with the cats. I think I made the right call on the painting, don't wanna do some half-@$$ed job, aye?

It's kinda annoying, but not like a camera up you REDACTED.

2 things: I was told by a mechanic not to get a battery from a "mart" like Wmart or Bimart or Kmart or ???? Anyhoo, any auto supply is better and before you buy, look online for coupon codes. They will often honor them in store but won't (probably aren't allowed to tell you about them) suggest them to you. Might at least help get the most bang for your buck.

Been trying to find the title of the truck I sold last week. I’ve gone through every piece of paper/box/folder in this house. I gave the buyer what I thought was the title, turns out it was just a copy. So now I have to get a new title or pay/help the buyer get a new title.

While searching I found a couple hundred photos that have been missing so long I forgot they were missing. I went to louisiana with a girlfriend. To get to her parents house we drove into a swamp until the road ended. There was a large old fashioned school bell on a pole. We rang the bell and waited, about an hour later we heard a boat coming. Her dad came to pick us up when they heard the bell. It was an interesting vacation, even went gator hunting with her brothers. I had a blast! 🐊

No plans tonight but tv...

Today is Saturday! I'm off! So I wake up a 03:30, whats with that? Anyway, I have sorted laundry, did the dishes, had my breakfast and I am about to do the banking and go to the grocery store, when they open....

I have lots of gardening stuff I want to do, but it is expected to rain today. We really need the rain so I shouldn't complain, but I will anyway cause I can... ;)

I've been cleaning since 9am, after doing the usual chores and watering the polytunnel. So much rain last night, which is great, but my lads aren't here to bucket. Sigh. Anyway expecting visitors so thought it was time to remove my collection of spiderwebs. Watered and moved around all my houseplants, just to make the place look a bit better. Husband and boys back tonight, but I have moved furniture and stripped beds and may have just left myself a little too much to do! But the place smells of oranges so that can't be bad.
