dade, so the real estate agent was supposed to show you the houses and they basically sold before you could look?

My mother loves to gripe about how when she was looking for houses the real estate agents never listened to her requirements. Say said nothing less than 4 bedrooms and the agent showed her only 2 bedroom places. She said only houses with garages and they showed her houses that didn't even have driveways to park in. She gave them her list of things and they ignored every single thing on the list and showed her completely different houses. Mind you, my father was on board and he told the agent to look for what Mom said she wanted but the agent just disregarded everything.

Sonya, I'm the same way. I can handle cold but I can't handle heat at all.

Had to run to Walmart to get a new power strip and new computer power cable because the old strip was making a burning smell. Got a better strip this time. The old computer cord had corrosion on the plug. Went to park but someone had left a shopping cart in the spot. Walmart employee was gathering up carts, saw my predicament, and moved it for me. I made sure to thank him. Then I grabbed a few more carts that were strewn about and brought them over to him. He thanked me and commented that his dad put him to work on the farm on hot summer days when he was younger so he was used to the heat but he appreciated that I was helping.

Got inside, found my stuff, had to wait for an employee to come unlock the computer cord.

Popped in to TSC and found the Crescent stubby ratcheting screwdriver with in-handle storage was back in stock. Mine broke (went to open it up to get a different bit out and the wrong end came off and stuff fell out) so I got a couple more. Grabbed some feed and hay with molasses for the cows.

Got back home and cow drooled all over the feed bag before I could cut it open.

Currently cooling off. Had to feed kitties again when I got home. They had flipped their food trays. One of the male cats tried to spray me but I blocked him with the back of a tray.

Ok, so are you really serious or kidding? Sometimes hard to tell if it is humor or serious online ...lol
I cannot imagine anyone really liking 98 degrees, much less 110.... that's just so miserable. I hate it when it goes above 80 here ( but we don't have ac)
We didn't have power in Florida for weeks a few times after hurricanes, and it was THE most miserable I have ever been outside of being sick or injured. 95 degrees , 98% humidity and even at night it would not cool below 80. Miserable...I think I would rather live in Siberia than go through that again. I think I didn't sleep for 2 weeks once in Florida
It's around 80 here today, just hot enough for me
Oh but this is @Pearl we are talking about. Yep, she really does like the scorching heat. That’s all fine and dandy until she shares it 😉😁

Went target shooting this morning. Then out to lunch with a friend. All afternoon was was computer geek stuff - installing a self-hosted MQTT broker, putting new firmware on some IP cams, and writing scripts to interface those cameras to send motion notifications and video streams to my desktop computer screen.

We went out with my aunt and uncle on their boat tonight really had a nice evening on the water.

What's a Sophia?
Not sure I have the spelling correct
It is a Spanish desert
Deep fried tortilla
Covered in confection sugar
Drizzled with honey

WHAT IS A SOPAPILLA?

Sopapillas (or sopaipillas) are dough that puff up when fried and they have a hollow center. They are a type of quick bread served in several regions with Hispanic heritage

Lol.

Bummed, sitting here tonight, should be on pine mtn playing music. The eye doc appointment yesterday wiped me out, decide to drive up tomorrow. Then... dad has a sink just inside his mud room. Something happened late today, now it’s badly broken. Might have to play plumber tomorrow… wanted to go pick, looks like that’s off.

Oh well, maybe next month. The heat index hit 108 here yesterday, higher near the mtn. I don’t mind hot days, this is hay weather. But the nights are warm also. Tough to sleep in a tent when both the temp and humidity are in the mid 80’s. Maybe its for the best. ;)

Today I made a major car purchase and lost $3000 in 20 hours.
I bought a used car that I discovered had a major problem with the suspension system and other things that would cost me several thousands of dollars. None of the problems occurred until I was 2.5 hours away. I contacted the dealer I purchased it from within 18 hours and he said he would make it right.
I got a newer, better car but it cost more and he would only give me a partial refund so I'm out 3k.
All of my expensive mistakes in life have involved cars.
Unfortunately in Washington once you sign the paperwork you are on your own.

Well, it has been another long week for me. Saturday my ex asked me if I wanted my son to visit this week or next, but he wanted this week. I preferred next week but said this week was good. Well, waited for him to call Sunday afternoon but found out Sunday night he was coming to Utah but not coming to me until Tuesday night because they (ex-other half of the family) had plans for a couple days). Picked him up Tuesday night and scheduled his work on the Avalanche for his 3 days with me. Wash again, wash the carpet and seats again (twice) (still plenty of Pepsi color coming out of the carpet and seats so he will have that to do again next visit), changed spark plugs and wires, put some super awesome dressing on the Avalanche body plastic to restore the color. (YouTube video pending in a couple weeks for that project) At work most the week was helping the boss work on making his new/used motorhome ready for his vacation next week so not a lot of ATV repairs for me in the shop but it was kinda fun having something different to do. Next week the boss is gone all week so I am flying solo again but he pays extra when I am there alone so that is fine by me.
This weekend is Utah weekend, July 24th is the statehood holiday so plenty going on around the area. I will be at the corner for Farmers Market with my T-shirts and fresh eggs to sell so hopefully it is a busy day. I have a new supply of T-shirt colors and 4 different designs I can heat press onto whatever size and color they prefer. Last week I did pretty good so hopefully tomorrow I do as good or better.
I think I finally stopped the slow leak in my truck tire. The plug I put in a few months ago was leaking but that plug was about 10 years old or more sitting on the shelf before I used it. I got some new plugs and new glue/rubber cement and pulled out the old plug and put in a new and it is holding air so far so hopefully that headache is gone. The tires have plenty of tread for this summer but they are worn enough that a tire shop wont repair them so I am fine with the old fashioned plug repair, as long as it holds air. It was losing 50 pounds a day so every day I had to air it back up to 75 pounds. That was annoying, especially since II was not driving it every day.
Monsoon season is arriving in the southwest desert area so we are finally getting some rain again. But by finally it hasn't been a bad summer, we had a good rainy day about a month ago and occasional rain for most the spring so it has not been a bad summer. But we need the rain so I am looking forward to (hopefully) frequent storms.

Aside from that, i will check back tomorrow. Sweet dreams to all ya'all.

I hate that for ya... Maybe the upgrade will have a hidden bonus! Part of the reason I'm driving an 02. Leary of buying anything with prices this high.

This last week has been a roller coaster
That has left me with a hard decision to make
This is confusing so follow along
My van was hit by another driver, the ins co wants to total it and hand me $4000
I objected and said I have no other ride the damage is only sheet metal
So he offered to sell me my van back for $500. Plus I keep the $3500
So I start thinking, this is where it gets dangerous lol
I have a 96 S-10 4x4 extended cab truck that has less than 100k miles. It needs a transmission and radiator. The truck has been sitting up not cranked for 10 years
So he is my delimia
Do I sink the 3500 into the van or the s-10?
The obvious solution would be to buy another vehicle. Used car prices are crazy stupid high right now and I refuse to pay 10 or 15 K for a used car with 150 k or more miles

Background on the truck
I bought it new drove it gentle the low miles are because I had a company truck
I had the radiator replaced. Then the tranny went out, so I had the tranny rebuilt. I seldom drove it because I was always working mostly out of town
Moved from TX to MS and trailered the trucks ( had a 1958 ford)
Started driving the s10. Damn tranny went out again
Scratched my head and my foot trying to figure out why
Only thing common was the radiator, so I took it out for a look
Ahhhhh. The idiot who installed the radiator did not remove the transmission port plugs he just hooked the vlines up
So coolant never cycled through the tranny
That is the first half of the week
I was scheduled to see 2 Dr this week my lung Dr and a dentist
I saw both and got up walked out of the dentists office . I did not like anything about that place and my gut was telling me to get out. So I did
Made an appt with a different dentist
ALWAYs listen to your instincts God gave them to you for your survival, use em or loose em
Saw the lung Dr after my sleep study
My bypap machine setting is 16/11
But I am having issues with the mask so another is ordered

You should still be able to start the truck. Put a battery in it, see what the motor says!! And yes, let your gut guide you!!

No jobs today, I can get stuff done I have been needing to do around here! Only going to be in the upper 90's😮! Washing my vehicles and cleaning the inside of my truck are happening this morning!! Already have laundry started. Have a sizable to do list as always. Time will tell how the day plays out.

Ohhhh. yeah. they sell those things all over town here. mostly at the chilled fruit and burrito stands.

Dademoss, what's to stop you from checking listings yourself? Sometimes an agent is so busy that he or she can't possibly make connections in time... I always used Realtor.Com myself, that's the one which a majority of realtors reportedly use. I found it easier to filter out unwanted homes with that site, compared to other real estate websites. 😒
Nothing, Lori checks every day, but it's a tight fit to her criteria. Even tighter for my criteria :)

Yesterday's high was 89 degs. Going to be hot again today and no rain in sight. Probably won't get any rain until late October either. After I water the garden we're going to take the kayaks up to the lake.
Yesterday my daughter sent me a listing for a house up near where she lives. Sounds pretty nice. It's only 33 acres has a high producing well plus water rights from the creek. Might be worth looking at. It would be nice to live near the grandkids and scale down some.
