Rainy day today and a storm is predicted for later today. Just gonna do some cleaning and read some. Did order some leggings in my size ( I'm 6ft tall so most are too short that are in the stores) online. I was lucky enough to get them half price lol

I have the opposite problem, being 5'2" everything I buy is too long unless I can get it in petite sizes and sometimes they are for tiny people.

My plan for today is to go through more stuff because I need to go downstairs to the basement and organize my storage area there. I am getting all my canning jars and related equipment from my house so I can sell them. I believe on the Facebook marketplace pages I can sell them locally and not have to ship anything so doing that now.

Yesterday when my husband was here and he helped me find the program I needed to play DVDs on my computer. So now I am set. I have 2 documentaries on food, well one is on sugar, that I want to watch and maybe today I will watch one. Since I use Ubuntu for my OS, I still have trouble deciding which software to use for what. I have been doing better though and trying to do it without asking for help.

My hand started giving me a lot of pain last night. Out of the blue......I mean sometimes at night this same area would hurt but not like this. This morning I wake up to not being able to do anything with it. It was all I could do to have a cup of coffee. Now it has limbered up a bit. I went back to bed and just laid there stretching it and now it seems able to do things better. Typing on the keyboard was impossible earlier, but now it seems to help it. I ordered some ginger root oil to help it. I guess it is that aging thing, but it may be caused by leaning too much onto my rolling walker. So I am going to be careful with it and not lean so much onto the handles. I have been concentrating on not bending or leaning over it because I see many people who do that, then they are bent over as time goes by. I want to walk straight ahead, with eyes on where i am going not on my feet. Well I will see how my day goes.

@WVDragonlady I have the same problem with getting the proper length in dresses and pants where they don't ride up on me too as I have very long legs and am above average women's heights. I have taken to buying retro dresses to get them long enough for me and they always look elegant because of the cut of them and the necklines are also what I would call modest unlike the ones that have an almost down to the navel neckline  .

I know. What I wore when I was single was one thing but when I became a wife and mother I had an example to set.
There is nothing wrong with having some class. And the way some women dress now is just trashy. I feel sorry for them that they feel they have to conform to the rubbish that is passed off as "style" or "fashion" now-a-days

Sitting at our Drs office. We are changing the kids cardiologist and need a new referral. I'm not happy with the other guy. Can't answer simple quiestions and his hand shake irritates the heck out of me. Its so weak its like shaking hands with an unconscious person.

LOL!!! My eye doctor is like that! I'm afraid I'll crush his hand at times

Stitches are out.
Compression hose went into trash at doctor's office.
Have made lunch, ran to grocery store picked up few things.
Let Strawberry out a few times.
Sat in the sun for the first time since infection.
Going to take a nap, and bend that knee for the first time since surgery.
Hopefully when I wake up won't be stiff as board.
Picked up a few things for Estelle for Christmas.
While everybody still has back to school supplies still out.
Picked up flash cards: numbers, colors, shapes, beginning words, and abc's and 10 jumbo (for little hands) crayons.

I just finished making a box for my DVDs. I put contact, 2 different colors that I had left over from redoing my file cabinet, onto a regular box that is the perfect size for DVDs. I know it is old fashioned to buy DVDs and CDs but I do. I like being able to play them independent of the internet. And my CDs I can play with batteries also so they are good for any kind of power outages. Music soothes me.

Earlier I made my breakfast, just bacon today, in my IP. It cooks it just right on the saute option.

The last few days, have not been good days for me. This morning my husband (we are separated) came and brought me water. He brings it in canning jars from our house. The water is very good and I have never tasted water that good anywhere else. So he fills a box full of quart jars and brings them to me. The water is full of chemicals. It is bad enough having to bathe in it or wash dishes in it. I think he is coming back in a couple of days to bring hay for Rabbit and I will have him take to the store for groceries. I know I need to learn to use the bus system before winter, but right now this will be better. Not having a good week and I really don't care to socialize on the bus the way I feel. I thought I was only depressed living in my house, but I see I get that way here too. Just not as bad.

Now I am cleaning Rabbit's cage and then will be time for supper. I am trying to do things earlier so I can get in bed early maybe that will help.

Breaking up is hard to do 'to quote an old song '. Hope you feel better soon Kat.

Much worse. I am trying to get into the doctor. I’m so dizzy most of the time, can’t sleep due to nausea, and I’m having other issues. Thank you for asking. :)

Star sorry your feeling bad, hope you get better soon. :huggs:.

Thank you,
And I don't have another appointment with Ortho until October.
Unless there is another problem.
When I got up from nap, wasn't as stiff as I had been lately.
But in all fairness, I was only suppose to bend 30-50 % bend until got the stitches out.
Which is harder to do than you think.
Everybody have a good night.
Hopefully I will sleep well tonight.

Survived a long day at work. Twins social studies teacher is up to her stupidness again. This time I emailed the principal. The teacher apologized to the twins and sent me an apology email. The principal emailed ahead of that and told me to let her know if she didn't apologize. Yesterday she went on another Trump rant. Told the students that slavery has increased in the US and it's all due to Trump. Slammed the social studies book on the table and told the students that it's all full of lies, written by old white men. Last week was the speech about how Trump is starting the space branch of the military because he's hunting for aliens. Anyway, I told the principal I'm sick of the Trump bashing, the alien conspiracy theories and her blatant racism. She promised it would stop. Surprised, though, she's not a new young teacher. She's a 60 or so teacher. Three more days till we leave for the farm

Is it time for her to retire?
If she is so disenchanted with her place of employment, maybe she should.

Thank you. You are right, not easy to do. And especially when the other party fights you breaking with him all the way. I am like, why weren't you like this 5 years ago? And if I didn't leave, would you stay this way for the next 20 to come?

Today I went grocery shopping at Aldi's. It is not far from my house, but too far for me to walk. So my husband picked me up to go there but first he brought us breakfast from Burger King. Now I never eat this type of food anymore, but used to love it. So I ate it and eagerly drank the chocolate milkshake he brought with it. A milkshake with a high carb breakfast............I will pay for this later. But it was SO good!

I had a little extra money so I also bought some meat for my son. He is disabled and has a hard time making ends meet due to not comprehending money well. I am his payee rep for his SSD check and this month was a tough one for him as he just moved into a new apartment. So he had the rent and deposit to pay and a deposit at the electric company also. At least now he is within walking distance of me so when he needs something, Mom is here!

I am looking and researching on Amazon the carpet shampooers. I cannot afford an expensive one but I found one for less than a hundred dollars and am hoping to get it. I need it bad, not that Rabbit is the reason. It is just I feel better if I can shampoo my carpet since it is a light color.

I still have to put my groceries in smaller packages and in the freezer. I am tired today so just put them in the refrigerator, but I package everything up in small ones since it is only me here. Shopping and cooking for one is a whole different thing for me.

Yesterday we pressure cleaned all the machinery in the 3 bay garage and gave the trailer a pressure clean too as it had quite a bit of grease and oil on it. We then put it all back organising as we went. Still have to go through all the boxes in there and sort through them although we did go through a renovation box we had and threw the older stuff out like dried up sealants from when we renovated out last home.

Today I visited two friends and spoke more to one about things she likes to do to make more money for her household and made some suggestions. DH while I was away fertilised all the gardens and put on a load of washing in the washing machine and hung it on the clothes line. When I got home I took some photos of some handmade items and did 10 free listings on eBay.

Unfortunately I will be going to a Sam's Club that is a 45 mins ( one way) drive. I go 4 times a year and stock up on things. I hate the traffic and depending on just how busy they are it can be a 3-4 hour event by the time I get home again.

Wish we would get one here in my area of the state

I've got a Sams Club 10 minutes away, and need to go today to get some items for the farm. Off of work today, but have a ton to do. Hopefully will be ready to leave at 0 dark thirty tomorrow morning to make the pre heritage day Amish dinner and party early evening. Will be picking up mom and Uncle Melvin (he's 94) early, early Saturday morning for a pancake breakfast. They are ready to party. Husband left me a honey do list for today since he's working.

House is vacuumed,
Strawberry has been outside the required number of times: 4
Been stuck the required number of times: 3
Thinking of trying to walk with rolling cart of laundry.
Walked around Wal-Mart yesterday for the first time since surgery.
Took it nice and slow 2 hours and 15 minutes, rested on low enough displays.
Sure was pooped, was so glad I had cart to lean on. Whew!
No grandaughter today.
Look out tomorrow she'll be full of p and v.
And so will Strawberry be full of p&v.
Got a few errands to run, but should be home by noon.
If I get a move on.
If I don't tackle the laundry today there always tomorrow or the weekend.
Nice and cool, gentle rain type of weather to curl up with book ,read or catch up on sleep.
Hmmmm! Possibilities are endless.

I was just listening to the song I quoted.
And I agree about the ' why not 5 years ago'. We take each other for granted and men seem to be the worst at it. But unlike old dogs we are nto as treasured until we are gone I guess. Anyway I'm staying and accepting things change.

Took 3 1/2 hours today. They rearranged the whole store almost. The only thing not moved was the meat cases and the refrigerated section.
I don't mind they rearrange things but why don't they label the aisles? Its so frustrating trying to find things. Things were on completely opposite sides of the building to where they were.
The one thing that helped was that other customers helped each other for things they were looking for. So ridiculous.

I have things now to last us at least 3 months. I only need to pick up essentials at the local grocery store like milk, eggs, yogurt, etc.
Now I have to break down the meats and repackage them in the food saver lol

I have days like that, Patchouli, and I own my business. Hope tomorrow is better for you.
Been packing and getting everything ready to take off in the morning. Had to email the twins principal again. Seems the social studies teacher is still old white men bashing. Even had them listen to the song, "Old White Men". Had granddaughter define the word bias. Then she said that's the problem with the social studies book. It's biased and written by lying old white men.
Yes this teacher is white. But I believe she's about 60 and gay.
