We always need a housecleaning after we go to Costco. To try and find a place to put all the stuff we just bought.
I try to go just often enough to replace what we buy — usually frozen fish, ground turkey, some chicken thighs, and kitchen trash bags. Sometimes ziplock bags, and once every couple-three years a big stack of new kitchen towels as the old ones get harder to keep clean.

Salesman vacuumed my car, sent it thru the hand car wash, and filled the tank for me. Shook my hand and I walked away.
That's the kind of ending we like. But, if anybody is worried about taking it in and not getting their keys back, just bring your other set of keys, tell the dealer he's being reported to the BBB, the police, the Chamber of Commerce, and he's getting dragged on a Google review. If he doesn't let you have your own personal keys that might be on the key ring, say you'll charge him with theft of your property. Then take your spare set, walk over to your car, get in and ask him just what the f*** he's going to do about it? Tell him you'd rather pay someone else to get a new set of keys made, than pay a damn dime to his crooked ass.

Hoo... Boy!
Let's see. it was prep-0-rama. I bought a practically new Hatfield single shot the former owner tried to make into a dollar-store deer gun. I got my 45 commander back from the shop, picked up some magazines for my mini-14 and 10/22, found INSANE deals on new in-the-package bedclothes, found an also NEW waist-length leather coat and two police
(I think?) windbreakers for 10$!! a 1974 zippo and some strange tic-tac-shaped French thing I'm putting in my go kit as a spare, a USGI-type leather sling for my M-1, then we went to the bread store (half-priced bread!) and filled the freezer with Dave's good seed and Hostess fruit pies. On the way home my bro hit a yard sale and I bought three brand new iron skillets and a BBQ set, a wool army blanket still in the shrink wrap, and a brand new in the case comforter. ate Chinese food until I got sick and threw my back out and here I sit.
Worth it! OH, and I bought my Aunt a cane.

Busy week at work...again. Yesterday met with some folks about installing our BDA systems in 2 of the facilities DOE has mandated be done by the end of September. Ive got a meeting next week to walk thru one of the buildings with a group of folks to discuss what we are doing, what help we need, where we can and can't install stuff. They told me we could start right after that, or when we want to. They just want the one building finished by Feburary. I think we'll meet that easily. The other building will be much more challenging and is at least 5 times the size. I haven't been given funding yet to start on it.
Today we did a RF survey in a new building for a similar system. Next week we'll determine where to do all the equipment locations thru the building. Construction is still underway and I don't have a clue when we'll get to start it. But it doesn't have a deadline for us.
Gotta work tomorrow on some upgrades at our 911 center for the radio systems. Hope I don't have to work Sunday, my family is coming out to the house for BarBQ and sitting around a fire. I'm looking forward to that

My samsclub order was due to be ready between 1pm to 2pm. I waited for notice and checked the website, e-mail, texts. Status showed it was not ready. So around 2:30pm I contacted the CS via live chat and complained. Said I'd had problems with this in the past. They checked on it and said they asked the store to expedite and that my order would be ready when I got there in an hour. Gave me a $10 gift card for the hassle. Got there and checked in. Notice said 5 to 10min. 15min later someone brought my order out. She was rushing but she was still very nice. they don't hire enough people for curbside.

Called Mom to see if there was anything she wanted me to bring home and she asked me to get her RX from Walmart so I did. Got home and cooked for her and am now lounging with the kitties.

I didn't put love because you are bored, but put it because you are bored 😂
That's a good sign as it means you are otherwise healthy and are more apt to do what you need to in order to get out and get going again 😊
So today I felt spunky and was cooking breakfast and doing a few other chores. Today my knee hurts. Go figure.

DH got his surgery at 2 pm this afternoon. Spent most of the day at the hospital. I did get a walker at the Thrift store. Got home at 4:15- long after
I worked on an embroidery quilt after my first left knee replacement.
Snappy, what surgery did he have done that requires a walker? I hope he heals soon.

Mo, I’m working on a crochet blanket for my daughter. I’m bored with that, crossword puzzles, playing in my phone, browsing forums. 😭

Kind of a stupid a$$ day!! My donkey is SERIOUSLY lame!! Knee, tendon, fetlock on his right front are warm, no swelling this afternoon, but won't use that leg! Hoof looks fine! He is in his shed with hay and water! Will call the vet out tomorrow if he is no better. A little better and I will hose it with cold water and see what happens from there!! No signs of him running anywhere in his pasture last night!! On a good note, got two new jobs, had room for one! Going to bed shortly, plum wore out!!

Roscoe the coon and Hoover the possum have discovered the human art of blackmail.
If I don't put something out they like, they head right for my stash of goodies! they're even cooperating! If dumba** the armadillo gets involved, I might be in trouble!

I miss Ma Wildcat. One of her offspring has drifted in, it looks like Womp was his daddy.
Now if I can only tame the monster.

Had a lovely lie-in until 9, then spent an hour in the kitchen. Veg prepped for dinner tonight and tomorrow- billed up the skins for the hens also- made two meat loafs, a pumpkin pie with my last tin of Libbys pumpkin which one of my inlaws bought over for me, veg soup for weekend lunches and after my coffee and catch up here, I'll going to make some raspberry and white choc muffins with a carton of sour cream that needs using up. Had a good day yesterday washing down the yard- one day I'll buy a powerhose- but today will be spent writing essays. The pressure is ramping up a bit! Hoping to go visit my Dad tomorrow. Have a good weekend everyone!

Up to the new place for some outside work during the warmish weekend. Lori spent the night there last night and Brutus the abandoned cat meowed to come in :). He is in the garage now, and after the horse show will get to come down here after a visit to the vet :). It's gonna be an interesting night tonight

He had 3 pins put in left hip after falling backwards outside. Still can't believe he came home the day after surgery!
Will call the vet out tomorrow if he is no better.
I hope he is doing better, but please update!

DH is zipping around with his walker! We are getting set up for physical therapy today and will start Monday.
I'm really happy he is doing so well and is so motivated to get well!

This morning, I will walk first and pick up trash in Church parking lot on my way home.
Will clean baths and sweep house.
Next, make some of those McMuffins I saw yesterday.
Have some files to purge.
Water roses and set clocks back.

We're going to start driving home this morning. Probably leave my sisters place in a couple of hours. The dogs find it interesting here. They have a large Filbert orchard out front, a slough off the river and a kill yard out back. They bring in cattle, sheep and goats for slaughter, so the dogs are always finding little tidbits to nibble on or something to roll in.

Glad he is home and ambulatory!! Sounds like he's ready for a fast recovery!!

Yesterday the wife and I stopped at an antique shop in a small town that we drove through. I bought an old hand crank meat grinder and a 2 qt oil can. Both usable and in good condition. The oil can has a spout and will be perfect for changing oil in my generators and tractor. The meat grinder will be used for grinding semi frozen mice for making coyote baits.

put animals out and cleaned
husband has to drive back into town to get some plywood
Don't think the remaining plants ( kale , collards, lettuce) survived the 3 nights of way below freezing weather despite being covered. They look all droopy

Pearl hope your donkey gets better soon, I hate it when anyone gets sick

Update on the feral. I think he might be the one Ma Wildcat left with. I got him in the house and fed him, then I made the mistake of closing the door... He's NOT a house cat! I wonder where he's been?

I will be packing for a road trip up to Pismo Beach today, Paso Robles tomorrow, then Ventura Beach on Monday. This will be a wine and dine trip, including a few hot tubs, some hiking, and purchasing of a few wines I can't find locally.
Have a wonderful time.

Very pretty cat. I’d certainly claim him as my own.

My dog pouting because I’m crocheting and there’s no room in my lap for her. And her sister is sleeping in her bed.

Animal chores then little granddaughter and I cleaned out a very large chicken coop. Finished lunch, and going into our little town to the amish store and the thrift store. They are starting their Christmas promotions today. Cousin Bob is coming for supper tonight. He likes hanging out with husband and they watch some kind of alien shows together after supper. Maybe Skinwalkers. Bob loves aliens. I just made spaghetti sauce and it's cooking in the slow cooker. Maybe make a banana pudding, too.

What breed is the sister? Some kind of Terrier? I used to be a large dog person - German Shepherds and Newfoundlands - but we ended up with a Jack Russel Terrorist (from my son) and that was a nice sized dog. Jack's are feisty little bastards, and I wouldn't recommend one if you have other pets in the house. But if they're your only pet, I do have to admit that at least ours was a great dog. Ours was giant sized (for a Jack) - appearing to be about the size of your "sister" dog. Yours has longer hair. But definitely looks like a breed I might want some day.
