That is amazing, Snappy, that he's getting around so well! That's so good!
Regarding alien shows: I'm a skeptic. Husband likes them because he's worked in aerospace all of his life. Cousin Bob is a conspiracy theorist. And that's why he likes to hang with us, because I've been called that. Or maybe it's because he appreciates a home cooked meal now and again.

I took on the task if running conduit through the outside wall for the generator connection.

Drilling the hole was a chore. I had decided not drill it out to the full size because;

1) The full size 1" bit 12" long would have been another $30 for a masonry bit I may never use again. $40 for the two bits ( a 1/4" and a 3/4" both 12" long) I did buy was expensive enough.

2) I had seen others get a bit jammed in a hole and didn't want to risk injury.

I had to chisel the holes to get the conduit through the wall. The wires are a tight fit so I ran a pull strong through the conduit. A shop vac made that easy.

Then the frustration kicked in. Multiple attempts and running outside and back and I couldn't get the conductors pulled through. It was getting late so I let it be. Sure was looking forward to getting the wires pulled

I have three plans to solve this challenge.

A) Get The Princess to feed the wire while I pull from the outside

B) Use a lubricants like soap to grease the wires.

C) Combination of A and B.

Put 3 round hay bales out for cows this morning. Wish we could have waited a little longer but 2 freezes last week put grass to sleep. My kubota can only get a few inches off the ground. Going to go to deer stand this afternoon. Buck’s really running does. Hot already. Currently pulling dead grass out of asparagus bed so garden can be burned this week without cooking my asparagus!

Very pretty cat. I’d certainly claim him as my own.

My dog pouting because I’m crocheting and there’s no room in my lap for her. And her sister is sleeping in her bed

I have a space heater similar yours. But mine's 40yrs old and shows its age. Works perfectly, just looks bad. It was a dirty brown color to start...

Did you paint yours? if so, how? What paint? I though about painting mine, aside from being the worlds worst painter i didn't know about possible temp issues either. Thanks!

It was here, exactly as you see it, when we bought this house last year. I really know nothing about it. We’ve never even used it. Everything in our house is electric, except this propane heater. We are afraid to give it a try. I have no idea how old it is. It’s in the original part of our house that has since had an extensive addition and that’s where the furnace is. This wall used to have a log sort of heater but it has been removed and I think that’s when this propane heater went in. I think that propane heater might have been enough to heat the original part of the house which was about 900 sq feet. The house is now 1700 sq feet.

Today I have been cleaning up after finishing the lighting project. Then I went out to the garden area to pull up the okra plants. I was surprised to find little red potatoes in the roots of some, so I dug up the bed and got about a gallon of small purple/red potatoes. Some were pea sized and we put them into a chicken soup that the wife made us for supper, it turned out really good. ;) In fact, it tastes a lot like sum-more..... I need to put up the left over before I eat it all....

Yesterday the wife and I stopped at an antique shop in a small town that we drove through. I bought an old hand crank meat grinder and a 2 qt oil can. Both usable and in good condition. The oil can has a spout and will be perfect for changing oil in my generators and tractor. The meat grinder will be used for grinding semi frozen mice for making coyote baits.
What did Mrs MT find?

I will be packing for a road trip up to Pismo Beach today, Paso Robles tomorrow, then Ventura Beach on Monday. This will be a wine and dine trip, including a few hot tubs, some hiking, and purchasing of a few wines I can't find locally.
We used to spend a few days each year at Pismo when I was a kid. I’ve heard it’s changed since then.

Had to dip my candles a couple more times. Last year I made them too fat so did them skinnier but it was too much skinnier so hopefully now they are right. They shrink as they cool so it’s difficult to tell how much they will shrink.
Made a batch of cookies to send to my son for his birthday this week.
Did a load of laundry and stitched for a few and now sitting.

Worked 6-2, then came home and helped the wife with some stuff. Then worked on the stuff for the chickens. Moved our little fire pit around to where it'll be easy for my mom to get around to tomorrow. Brought up some firewood as well. Cleaned of a bunch of flower pots from the porch since everything got bit this week. Neighbors son stopped by with his wife and little 2yo girl. We hadn't saw him in over a year. Wish he still lived nearby. He is one awesome 20 something yo. Great work ethic and just a true gentlemen.

Nailed down 95% of the Christmas shopping, go me. I need one more small gift for my Dad, and a birthday gift for my sister-in-law since her birthday is right after Christmas. Plus plan to order some things from Bates Nut Farm for my in-laws, but I’m not sure when they’ll ship, so that may need to be later in the month.

We're about 160 miles from home now. The rain has been pouring down hard all day. Saw several wrecks on the road. We should have been home a couple hours ago. At least it's warm out and not snowing.
Makes for a long day! Drive safely ~

Want my list? 🤭
Pearl needs a pink crocheted toilet seat cover 😇

To make you feel better. Either before me or when I was a wee tot, Pa had been shipping cattle. The trucks would show up all hours of the day and night so no regular sleep. He was finally finished and home, took a shower and went straight to bed (neked). Well the dogs barking woke him up in the morning. He got up to yell (choice words) at the dogs, neked as a jay bird, cursing as he opened the door only to see Jahovahs on the front porch 😂
Bet they didn't bother him again.

Unloaded the sun chokes from the freeze drier. If we keep them crunchy they will make nice salad garnishes.
Filled six 5 gallon water bottles for our dispenser at the mountain spring which is just past a shooting range I like. When I stopped to shoot a few rounds from several guns so I remember how to load them. I saw a smaller car with a real assortment of stickers on the back window... lots of multicolored flags, save the spotted newt, science is real, not the sort of stuff one usually sees at a gun range.
After practicing with my singe shot 22 and a couple of others I took my home defense evil black rifle to the 100 yard range. Two young women were there setting up a hefty bolt action rifle. I went ahead and plinked a few rounds (yes my eyes are too old for a non teloscopic red dot at 100 yards).
As I was leaving the gals were still messing with their rifle. It was a 270 and they had a full box of shells....I inquired if they were having issues with the rifle and they said a few mumbled words. I then offered them the opportunity to shoot my evil black rifle as it would be a lot easier for a 5'2" person to pack around (this is montana at a private gun range so we tend to let other people shoot our rifes). They both took a step back like I was coughing without a mask in fall of 2020. I chuckeled and said their rife was more dangerouse since it could kill things from well over half a mile a way.
I just smiled and left but I should have got my single shot 22 out of my truck and offered it for them to shoot.

Way over did it this week... had an energy crash while helping a friend dig poke root, embarrassing. I'm usually safe at home before it gets bad, know it's coming. By bad i mean a blithering idiot, i begin to lose the ability to communicate verbally.

So, i did nothing today but oil the butcher block island. Gave it a good scrubbing with oil soap first. I managed to eat though, important for cfs people. Ever try to eat when you're completely exhausted? Welcome to my world. Was down to 145lbs last winter, had a few bad months. Back up to 170 now, trying to maintain.

Oh, got the bills paid today, cards all at zero balance last month, 3rd time this year. I'll be debt free a month or two then something happens. New tires, a stove, then blink and $2K is spent. :(

Knitting what Estelle says is the world's biggest blanket she's ever seen.
She's excited,
Her new little brother at her mom's house is due anytime.
Her little brother at her Dad's house is old don't you know.
After all he's 5 months old and teething. drooling all over the place.
I'm doing family gifts this year.
Both sons families are getting fish tanks with some of the accesories.
Will be giving grandchildren gift cards to get their own fish, snails, frogs, or turtles.
Or what ever they want.

I nodded off in my other camper storing some building supplies and got back late. I left my door open, and now I have at least two possums crawling all over me that won't leave, Roscoe and Maude are due any minute and I'm running out of crackers!
