I thought about soaking in the tub but was worried I wouldn't be able to get back out. LOL. Also, I'm so fat the water doesn't give me good coverage. However, I used the heated seat in the truck on the 2hr drive to and from Samsclub and that helped a little. Pickup order wasn't ready so I had to limp in and talk to someone to get it brought out. RX wasn't ready at Walmart so I had to wait and then be told it couldn't be picked up til January but was able to get other stuff.

Mom fell while I was gone but my brother got home from work and had her back in her bed before I got home. He told me she fell while I was still at Walmart. Hypothetically, a Ridgeline can handle going 70mph and bumpy back roads pretty well.

Got Mom some food in bed, helped her to the bathroom, ate a sandwich, fed the kitties, watched an episode of Hot Bench, & am now back in my room resting. I still need to pick up the box of screws that fell over and spilled.

Upside is I played around with graphics. I had fun with that. I got something I didn't need bc it was really neat. A set of hand-forged medieval style flatware. This is the set-- a picker, a fork, a spoon, and a knife.

I saw other sets that had corkscrews and thought it would be cool to have one to match-- even if it was only digital so I looked at different styles and used MSPaint to make crappy renditions of various options. Which one do you guys like best? (I might touch them up a bit in GIMP to make them look better, so these are just rough examples)

I bought a treadmill on Black Friday. They threw it in the truck for me. When I got it home, I realized I can no longer lift 297 pounds by myself. I had to take all the parts separately from the huge box, and placed them into mama's computer room. You can barely even walk into this room, so today is dedicated to building this treadmill, all 400 pieces! Definitely not for the faint of heart.
Darn thing took me 3 hours to put together!

WTG!!! I was measuring distance around the new country house, the challenge will be not stopping at Sunoco for breakfast :). 2 tables and a not so bad menu. Have to try it sometime.

Best made from scratch biscuits near me is at a gas station (20m). I always stop for a sausage biscuit if i pass it in the morning. I used to pass it about 5am hauling cattle to the sale barn at Natural Bridge. Heck, couple times i bought a cold sausage biscuit on the way back in the afternoon, left over from breakfast. If a biscuit is still good when cold... then it's a good biscuit! ;)

Trip to the big town, got some groceries, got lunch at the Lebanese place. Dropped off pecans to get cracked at the mom n pop produce stand. The receipt didn't give the weight... I'm guessing 25lbs. I had 2 five-gallon buckets completely full and box almost full. The box was the size of an office file box, at least 5lbs in it. Watching tv tonight...

I barely made it to the store and back & my legs hate me. At least the heated seats helped my leg muscles enough that when I helped Mom back up after falling and I got her onto the bed, I was able to swing my leg over her head to get out from behind her. I'm going to be up the rest of the night checking on her.

Hello 1am! 🙄 Big job today, again this couple had a bunch of company over the holiday! Mid November through mid January is definitely my busiest time! This is also my pumpkin gathering time!!😃🎃 People in town set their old pumpkins out by the trash, I pick them up and bring them home for the deer to eat! Had gotten two big ones today, oops, yesterday, it's close to 'today' yet ( I need better sleep patterns). I forgot to set up a game cam to see who all would be snacking overnight. I whack a couple of holes in them to make it easier for the critters. Sure they will be gone by daylight! Heading back to bed, see y'all in the morning!!

Try this little trick I'm learning.
Put two packets of goody powder in a bottle of minute-made (12 Oz) shake well and sip it before going out. It works well in V-8 juice and cranberry juice as well. that way relief is already on the way before you even get there!

Not going to be a fun day at work today. One of my full time techs will have given his notice to the pharmacy manager last night. She'll be beside herself today. It's nearly impossible to hire someone--company makes the process so complicated now. The ones that do apply are so limited in their availability and that's already a problem with the crew I schedule for now.

1695 more days to retirement....

Did you use it??
I went about a mile using the different settings, inclines, the heart pulse monitor, and just making sure it was adjusted correctly.

I still enjoy being outside and walking as fast as I can, and as far away as I can, so if I get tired, I only have to turn around, go home, and be done with exercising for the day.

It is just a mind game.

Pealed back this chunk of backplate on my machine last night the first hour ..after a unit of 12 ft, 6/4x 10.5 went sideways a tad as it was heading for the door.
This happened in the same spot several years ago. So the bandaid fix lasted a good while.
This is one of the reasons why I wont cycle this descrambler with someone next to it wanting to fix a problem..
The hydraulics and power it has when it runs is impressive when you see it peal back a big chunk of metal like a thin soda can.
A person's arm or leg would get ripped off in a second n probably go airborne like the lumber does when it gets caught up in it funny..

High is right about freezing. Supposed to warm up tomorrow night, chance of snow then on to rain and up in the 50s. Working ~ still cleaning, rearranging, organizing the office. Making a huge difference! I work with all guys. I have 1 empty shelf still because I still have some things to go through and sort out. I think every guy in the shop has tried to set something on that shelf! I bark at them (then laugh). They aren't being ornery, it's like nobody has ever shown them how to organize anything. It's a flat spot - Heavens forbid it be cleared off 🙄 Only one of the guys is naturally "tidy" and unfortunately he is our main install guy so is not in the shop a lot.
I have said multiple times to all of them, "If you keep your things nice, you'll have nice things. If you keep your things like 💩, you'll have 💩." It might be starting to sink in a little, but it's a slow process. I'm not a clean freak by any measure, but at least take care of things.

I took today off, but I ended up spending a few hours on work stuff, people just kept calling. I did finish the basement lighting project, the finished rooms with the drop ceilings now all have LED fixtures and while I was at it I installed dimmer switches with each group (4 switches). The first switch I installed didn't work, then I looked at the schematic and realized that there was a diode in the system and the power needed to flow 1 way (they didn't say it, buy I reversed the leads and poof, it worked). Anyway it's all finally finished (and working), now I need to clean up my mess.. :(

I pulled out my receiver hitch carrying rack and put reflective tape on the outside edges. I had a friend have his new Toyota pickup get rear ended, they hit it at an angle and bent the frame, totaled it... Reminded me of when a guy rear-ended my van in gas station. He hit the van so hard that it moved 3' (I was holding onto the nozzle at the time). I had a hitch installed in the receiver and the guy's bumper, radiator, and ac condenser all wrapped around that beast, but they didn't reach my bumper. So I installed a steel step in the hitch receiver of my new truck. I figure if they rear end me they will have to eat about 8" of that step before they can do any damage.... I did put red and white reflective tape on the face of the 2"X2" step rail, I figured that way they could see it and I would be less likely to walk into it in the middle of the night....

I've got about 4 loads of laundry that I need to finish up by 8PM, I can run the machines beyond the wife's bed time as they keep her up and me in the dog house...
