very busy this week, so I will have to catch up next week
took the goats to the meat processor , have to pick up Friday, market Saturday, plus have to bake more bread than usual since there most likely will be more people there
I will need a vacation after this week

Hope everyone is doing well
I'm going on vacation with you!!♥️

Made my first loaf of bread in my new bread maker! Just basic white bread - so I could learn the machine - but it came out quite tasty. Very light and fluffy. Maybe a little too fluffy. It was so soft that you'd never be able to spread something like peanut butter on it. You would end up spreading the bread on the peanut butter.

Does adding vital wheat gluten to the mix make the bread even lighter, or chewier? It supposedly makes it more "elastic" ... whatever that means in the context of bread. I know whole wheat flour will be heavier in texture. I used brand new "unbleached bread flour" and brand new rapid rise "breadmaker yeast". It certainly rose well with that. You could spread very soft butter on it - kind of - if you were exceptionally careful. But anything else would have torn it to shreds. The taste and the crust came out fantastic.

Oh boy, all day in doc appts, then to the hospital for chest xrays and another midline put in, to the infusion place for the first dose of the antibiotic. The pharmacy delivered the next 10 days of the iv antibiotic so I'll be doing that for husband at home. But this one is on an every 6 hr schedule, and it takes time to do...so I'll be sleeping wonky for awhile, or actually not sleeping. Next one is at 1 am. Got the six cornish hens ground up and in the freezer, the ones I did the other day. Hoping to get some more butchered tomorrow after chores and another appt for him in the bigger town.

I'll most likely be up around 1am if you need to chat!!🙄

This has been as rough week!! Apparently people think I like to move furniture.... I do if you pay me enough! 😉 Tomorrow continues the rough week, Christmas decorations 🙄, for an older lady who will gripe the whole time we put them up! Worked for her almost 20yrs, same decorations, same attitude! Furniture moving involved!!🙄 Couldn't even nap today because of my sciatica! Oops, this isn't the rant thread..... going to bed shortly! Just for the west coast people, it's 9:30 here! Get in the zone 😉!

A few months ago eldest and I booked a weekend away to Vienna,Austria and it's now tomorrow! Spending the day fitting four days into one - won't be back until Monday. I'm exhausted, and while part of me is saying, "theres too much to do here", I am looking forward to not cooking and picking up various forms of animal poo!! I will be taking some books to study in the evening, but also looking forward to seeing some gothic architecture, and a night time walk through Christmas markets. Stay well everyone!

another midline put in
I empathize. We figure DH will be due sometime in January. He's starting to have breathing issues now.

I hope you tow have a fabulous time and get a little rest!

Will walk first, today.
Nurse will be here for DH this morning.
I have a meeting at Church this morning. Another church wants to merge with ours which is a good thing for us, sad for them to lose their building.
Walk dogs.
Finish laundry from Monday. LOL

It'll be curious to see if your husband gets the same antibiotic. This one's a pain, because it's every 6 hrs instead of the 8, but it's a different method (the Sash method), so it's only a 5 minute syringe push (timed) instead of that half hr ball like thing. So no waiting 30 minutes when you're half asleep for the next step to it. His breathing is garbage right now, and he's trying to make it to have me drive him to Denver in a week and a half for a hospital visit there. Ugh.
Hey....it Did Not freeze last night. No toting buckets of water this morning. I am pleased with that. Expecting rain, though, late afternoon, so freeze tonight and I'll need my Yak Traxx out tomorrow for sure. Need to get him to the infusion center at the hospital right after lunch, but I don't think it'll be pouring yet.

I hope DH gets a different one. He's gotten the same one at least twice. I pray it works well for your DH! Please let me know.

I got to spend 2 months in Vienna in 1999. Had a wonderful time. The Christmas Village should be set up near the Rathaus. That area is well worth checking out. 2 museums, palace from the old days, just beautiful architecture.
Enjoy your visit. Be sure and tell us some stories when you get back

It's supposed to start snowing tonight and continue through at least Tuesday. They're calling for up to 2 feet of snow for tomorrow in the mountains, which is where we are. Still not feeling well, but need to get some things done before the snow hits.
First we'll clear the rocks off the road, then cut up the 2 logs, split and stack in wood shed, put chains on the tractor, hook up the snow blower to the side by side, weld up the cracks on the snow plow and connect to tractor. I may not have time to put the tracks on the side by side today so I'll just put chains on instead.

Wife woke up with sweats and chills around 01:00, so I was up trying to help her. She has been doing this for the last 3 nights, we need to figure out how to address it. I think she goes to bed cold, applies too many blankets, and then gets over heated until she wakes up soaked... then she gets out of bed and gets chilled. All I know is that I get awakened and cannot get any sleep until she is comfortable, usually just as I need to start work.... :(

I see the Christmas Tree in DC got blown over, I didn't realize the winds were that high, they need to get some good engineers on that to make sure it has sufficient guy wires in place to keep it steady. Oh, I forgot, they have been replacing their old engineers with new WOKE, Diverse, and Included (he-she-it) engineers that failed statics...... and trig.... Bad Urban, go back to your politically correct dog house...

It’s been misting rain here all morning, it’s hard for me to sit in the house. When we moved to this place I spent a few days pushing rough trails all around the property with a D6. I wanted to be able to get around it with a Jeep. We had a wind storm in September that blew several trees down across my trails. I took the Mule and a chainsaw around this morning and opened the trails back up so we can get around the place again.

Feeling old, packed up big box of CD's, tossed all the VHS tapes I found, I don't have a player anymore :(. Even found the "record grams" Dad sent to mom while he was in Alaska, before i was born. I remember transferring them to cassette for mom so she could listen to them again.

You need to be more descriptive of the pain to get any kind of reasonable reply. Where is the pain specifically, what makes it worse, what makes it better, do you have history of trauma to the arm, any swelling or rise in temperature over the area, etc., etc., etc. Even given all this information, a diagnosis is not going to be made over the internet, especially from us non-doctors (except for Dr. Jenner). You may get some hints of what the problem might be though. e.g., "I was reaching and lifting something forward and above my head, I felt a pop like sensation, accompanied with pain, and now I can't lift my arm above my shoulder and it hurts when I sleep on that side." Some here would be able to give you a hint about what that might be, but not a final diagnosis based only on an internet description. Many things could cause your arm to hurt. Mine hurt after my last tetanus shot for example. Be as specific as you can, and maybe somebody will recognize your signs and symptoms as being similar to something that happened to them.
