today was a total and complete bust from git go

The wind tormented us all morning then this after noon it picked the tent up a shook it a little bit. I have a 50 cal can on each all 4 feet. 1/2 full ammo each
It moved them across the ground
I guess I need spikes
Then to top that off
I ordered 3- thirty lb bags of cat food for the wife’s ba ba’s. Ordered them at 12 o’clock. I get an email that fed ex delivered them at 4 pm. Impossible, I looked around and nothing
Now I am stuck with a phone on my ear till this is resolved

My first day off in almost 3 weeks. So I slept in this morning. Got up and did a couple things here then got cleaned up. Wife and I went to Gatlinburg to eat at one of our favorite resturants to celebrate our 1st date 40 years ago. Planned to walk around and take in the sights. After we ate we decided to just head back home and chill out. We both had a rough week.

Happy anniversaries! 40! I hope you all have another 40!!!! 🍰🍷

Jake got to fly two days this week, he should have his license by the time he starts school in the fall. The mechanic at the airport asked him to apprentice with him for the summer. It doesn’t look like he will be working construction this summer. We will have to support him but I feel like this is more important.

Yeah, long long long ago. Blue ash used to have an airport that offered flying lessons. First lesson was free. I could afford the first lesson.

One day soon he'll be doing this!!! Water runway's are a hoot! I used to get job assignments to cities where i knew no one, sometimes 2 or 3 months. Seemed every city i went to had pilots who'd take you up for a short cessna flight around the area. I went up as often as i could, beat hanging out at the hotel bar!!!

This was the only time i've had a water landing that didn't involve a flotation device. 🤣 Kidding, only time landing on water. Coeur d'Alene was a neat town.

How do you use beet powder? I would think smoothies?
Every morning I have yogurt an apple and mass in a blender . Trying stuff to add to it . I want to find enough stuff so I don't have to use the mass . Yes , I'm playing with the new dehydrator.
Next for protein I'm going to do powdered peas . I never know what's going to bother me , so one thing at a time . 3F right now

Finally getting caught up after getting home. Yesterday was wife's birthday, son came home to celebrate. He's taking her to a ballet today, this rat's gonna play while those cat's are away :) .

I discovered that a week of traveling adds a pound a day... Not a good thing at this point...

All my plants survived my absence, it's nice to be able to flip a couple of switches and have things fully watered just before running out the door...

what is mass?
I make smoothies for evening meal in summer a lot : banana or strawberries, peanutbutter, yogurt, vanille extract, ice and a little water

Had a wonderful day playing music at the fiddle festival. Got to see some old friends! Bad tired tonight, exhausted but a good exhausted.

Meant to post this a couple days ago. Fella down the road bought some goats. We’ll see how long they last. 20yrs ago his dad lived in the same house and got goats. Eventually they were all killed in the highway, took a few years though. Don’t think these are going to make it til christmas. :( at least a dozen log trucks drive by each day.
I wished I could unsee that....people like that shouldn't have animals

That right there is the type of plane I took my first ever flight in at 28 years old. Up in Maine near Baxter State Park. Got to sit in the front seat next to the pilot and hold his coffee during takeoff--he thought that would keep me calm. LOL Best flight ever!!!!

Going to clean my building shortly after I feed Buddy! Got a couple of projects in Hubby's shop that need both of us, will do those when I get home. At least 85° today, so I will have an afternoon break in the pool. 90's Monday and maybe Tuesday, taking FULL advantage of it!! Nothing like a nice tan in February!!

Busy day today after church. The tire place sucks, not one air pressure is right, so I'll fix that. The cat with the ***** had another episode, so lots of cleaning off of mats. Take some bookcases up to the new house and do some more measuring. Deliver a "community cat" outdoor shelter to the new house, for somebody in Wilmington that needs one.

I am seeing IG greens advertised and have been thinking about trying to make some of my own green powder. Way back in the days of estates, peasants, and nobility in Europe, peas were one of the most commonly eaten food, thus, "Peas porridge hot, peas porridge cold, peas porridge in the pot, nine days old."

Sadly over the past 15ish years, Coeur d'Alene is mini-california 😕and is now just another city.
