We got a neat call today! We got asked to be filmed on set for the Discovery series Moonshiners! The show isn't about us they just wanted some local flavor for the show. I think we can flavor it up for them....

Trying to hibernate in the house to not get any sicker.
Good time to work on the memorial plaque I’ve been trying to finish before the celebration of life at the end of the month. Why oh why did I decide to do something so detailed! I’m too darn stubborn to not finish it
I am sorry you are sick. I hope you feel better soon :(

I am sorry for your loss too. I am sure the memorial plaque will be splendid!

Thanks hun! If I survive the detailed weeding it will be amazing.
My (adopted) sister doesn’t know I’m doing it. It will have moms name, birth date - death date and the breakdown she did of what each letter of moms name stood for to her. It was pretty amazing when she sent it to me for “approval” so I thought it should be permanently on a plaque for her to cherish.
Going to give it to her at the celebration.

Checking in for yesterday and here is what we did. Between DH and I put on two loads of washing hung it on the line, brought both loads back in, folded up 3 loads of washing, stripped bed and remade it, DH washed up the dishes in the kitchen and cleaned the benches, DH vacuumed the whole house and I mopped all the floors in the house, we hand watered two loads of 200lts of grey water from showers and washing machine onto the lawns, DH fixed the front door flyscreen where neighbours dog smashed through it on the thundery day and fixed the drip irrigation pipe in the front gardens that had split and he put on the drip irrigation systems to water the garden, I deep cleaned the bathroom and toilet for the week. Last nights tea was bacon and eggs with mushrooms.

This morning heading off to the chapel to do a garden makeover part 1 so this morning we will strip a large garden bed of all the overgrown plants and do a tip run with them to dispose of them. Probably be a 3 or so hours good solid work for DH & I and two friends. Decided since most of our members are elderly and the usual most don't help save the STP (same ten people) we shall do it ourselves it is far quicker and easier and the 4 of us are looking forward to seeing the chapel gardens looking beautiful. We look at it this way "when you are in the service of your fellow beings you are only in the service of your God" .

We had one pipe come loose at connection but none busted. I also cleaned the bathroom and toilets today.

That sounds beautiful. I am sure she will cherish it

Slept in till 9 AM. Went to the Foothills. Got a manicure. Picked up some groceries. Ive been kinda "Bugged In" since DEC 14. Waiting for an Assignment. Probably hear something by the 14th of Jan. Kinda enjoying the Time off. Gaining weight. LOL

I've never had them either. All I have ever heard is how much gastrointestinal distress they cause, so I have no desire to try them.
I love them!

That's a very sweet thought! I'm sure she will be delightful.

Time for me to get up and get dressed. (No visuals please)
Time to go deer huntin! Then a trip to Savannah(TN) for my wife's mammogram.
Finally it will reach 32°! :woo hoo:
It's a balmy 18° out right now.
Y'all have a blessed day!

Spending the day at the hospital again, chemo then off to an MRI.

22 this AM. Got the chicken waterers out, chickens are fed and got their treats. I'm thawed out now so it's time to get bundled up and drive to the city.

Hash, your wife sure is a pretty woman and according to your pics very handy too. Watch out Hollyhood's may try to snatch her up. Congrates on the show.

So sweet of you to do this. Losing a mother is hard to do.

Didn't realize I was this far behind on this thread or I'd used quotes.
Plus I'm always up and down posting so forget where I'm at.

Today is finish doggie door, empty the 2 reservoirs we took plants out of yesterday. Vacuum and mop some of the floors. and whatever else we can do.

One of the problems of living in the middle of no where is access is VERY limited as far as rental equipment. I already own the pick axe.
Yeah, that's why when I bought my tractor I got a small backhoe for it. I doubt it has payed for itself even with the drainage tile, underground electric and pond it had helped excavate but having one is great. ;D
