We got a neat call today! We got asked to be filmed on set for the Discovery series Moonshiners! The show isn't about us they just wanted some local flavor for the show. I think we can flavor it up for them....
I am sorry you are sick. I hope you feel better soonTrying to hibernate in the house to not get any sicker.
Good time to work on the memorial plaque I’ve been trying to finish before the celebration of life at the end of the month. Why oh why did I decide to do something so detailed! I’m too darn stubborn to not finish it

I am sorry for your loss too. I am sure the memorial plaque will be splendid!
Checking in for yesterday and here is what we did. Between DH and I put on two loads of washing hung it on the line, brought both loads back in, folded up 3 loads of washing, stripped bed and remade it, DH washed up the dishes in the kitchen and cleaned the benches, DH vacuumed the whole house and I mopped all the floors in the house, we hand watered two loads of 200lts of grey water from showers and washing machine onto the lawns, DH fixed the front door flyscreen where neighbours dog smashed through it on the thundery day and fixed the drip irrigation pipe in the front gardens that had split and he put on the drip irrigation systems to water the garden, I deep cleaned the bathroom and toilet for the week. Last nights tea was bacon and eggs with mushrooms.
This morning heading off to the chapel to do a garden makeover part 1 so this morning we will strip a large garden bed of all the overgrown plants and do a tip run with them to dispose of them. Probably be a 3 or so hours good solid work for DH & I and two friends. Decided since most of our members are elderly and the usual most don't help save the STP (same ten people) we shall do it ourselves it is far quicker and easier and the 4 of us are looking forward to seeing the chapel gardens looking beautiful. We look at it this way "when you are in the service of your fellow beings you are only in the service of your God" .

That sounds beautiful. I am sure she will cherish itThanks hun! If I survive the detailed weeding it will be amazing.
My (adopted) sister doesn’t know I’m doing it. It will have moms name, birth date - death date and the breakdown she did of what each letter of moms name stood for to her. It was pretty amazing when she sent it to me for “approval” so I thought it should be permanently on a plaque for her to cherish.
Going to give it to her at the celebration.
HB,
Thats cool,
Yall show em how the better folks do things..
Let us know how that goes ,,, and all the fun.
Jim
That’s so cool! Like that show! Be sure to tell us what episode and get us all photos of you on it! Don’t forget the autographs!
A back hoe makes that work a lot easier. LOLStarted trenching (by hand) out to the new garage for electric today. I can tell you that my days of running a pick axe are over!
I love them!I've never had them either. All I have ever heard is how much gastrointestinal distress they cause, so I have no desire to try them.
That's a very sweet thought! I'm sure she will be delightful. Thanks hun! If I survive the detailed weeding it will be amazing.

A repeat of yesterday. In addition of my normal busy day of taking care of Bill, trips to town etc,I also have to start tearing into the front end of the Ranger 4x4 to see what's all wrong with it.
One of the problems of living in the middle of no where is access is VERY limited as far as rental equipment. I already own the pick axe.A back hoe makes that work a lot easier. LOL

Spending the day at the hospital again, chemo then off to an MRI.
22 this AM. Got the chicken waterers out, chickens are fed and got their treats. I'm thawed out now so it's time to get bundled up and drive to the city.
Yeah, that's why when I bought my tractor I got a small backhoe for it. I doubt it has payed for itself even with the drainage tile, underground electric and pond it had helped excavate but having one is great. ;DOne of the problems of living in the middle of no where is access is VERY limited as far as rental equipment. Over an hour one way to the closest rental shop.I know what that's like. A round trip to the store is 45 minutes, not counting time spent there.
Looks like I'm the city guy with only a 20 mile drive to the closest Walmart.Over an hour one way to the closest rental shop.
