Haha. My hubby does that, too. He can’t just get to the point. It is pretty annoying but I try very hard to be patient.

Mine, too! He thinks that he has to explain things at least 3 different ways for me to understand an issue. Sigh

so, I got a call from the rental car company telling me if I want my rental car as early as possible we need to get there really early since they are booked up for Monday morning.....how annoying. But she couldn't tell me how early. Am I supposed to camp out in front of their door overnight to get my rental car on time or what? They open at 8, closed Sunday. I didn't want to pay for 2 extra days with it just sitting there.
I was already worried about the flight, but now we might not even make it there in time....I really hate traveling
I left us an extra 2 hours just in case but looks like it might be less now

Amish boy Aaron came by and did 3 hrs of mowing and weedwhacking, things look alot better. Neighbor came by and we dispatched 4 extra roosters for her. Having some coffee, and will probably load up the truck with stuff that needs to go to our local thrift store. Little granddaughter did alot of clean out.

We canceled our trip to Virginia. So I've been back to working on the fallen tree mess from a while back. Got side tracked with work and garden, so this got put on hold. Got a trailer load of firewood cut and hauled. Hoping to get one pile of brush hauled to a brush pile in the field, if its not too bad soggy. I got stuck there one year while mowing.

Took me about 30 minutes to get up off the kitchen floor.
Felt funny and not in a funny way.
Haven't had one of those in about 2 years.
Didn't miss them at all.

I fell and whacked my head a few months while playing badminton with my granddaughters. I joked afterwards that I should wear protective head gear if I try that again.

Dade...you need a young lad to mow for you. Our young lad mowed and weedwhacked for 3 hrs today. Nothing I have time to do.
Dropped off a big load at the thrift store with little granddaughter, and did a bit of shopping there, but not much. Checked the mail, and got a few things at the amish grocery. Came home and cleaned the kitchen, took care of husband. I am bushed. One of our daughters sent a beautiful vase of flowers to me for mother's day. She's so sweet.

I started working on fence repairs yesterday. Today I rebuilt a corner post and beefed up a section where the cows like to get out by adding a dozen T posts and wire stays between the posts. On our SE section I'm going to move the fence over on to the property line. That should add another 5 acres or so. Just not looking forward to lugging a bunch of railroad ties, barb wire and all my tools over the hill. It's too steep even for an ATV.
The cows are coming home on the 18th. That should be enough time for me to make it around the property.

Never made it to hauling brush. But I did get a lot of cutting and mowing done. I can make it mostly into the area to keep cutting safely.
Got a cattle panel installed on the tomato bed. Then planted the rest of my tomatos. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow are great planting days.

You should start one of those YT channels where you go around and take care of people’s overgrown yards so you could do more of it in your spare time

Our power is out- we didn’t even know it until the power company called and said it should be restored by 8:30. Turned on a light and sure’nuf it’s out. Posts aren’t loading well so I’m guessing all the tv watchers are on their phones. Will have to catch up later.
Oh - finished mini coop - quite possibly the worst thing I’ve ever made but it works and they are in it.
Also went looking for morels. Found half dozen so Hubby sautéed them and dumped them on his steak

Got the yard mowed, then went and picked up some chinese takeout for supper. Finally made it to the front porch for a glass of Brandy and a nice stoogie.
We are going to a re-enactment tomorrow in Ewing Virgina. Daniel Boone Period. It's always a lot of fun. If anyone is interested, read a little history of "The Raid on Martins Station". In the area there is a Buffalo farm we usually stop and take a look at.

Man been a long time since I was up that way we went over to Duffield nearly 20 years ago it was the last time I was in Virginia at Natural Tunnel State Park
Went up from Corryton, Luttrell and up 33 through Cumberland gap area into Kentucky and then 58 across to Duffield.

I have a Cuz was married into the Luttrells two of her daughters are Luttrells.

Been battling fruit flys since yesterday. Where the heck did they come from? My cabbages aren’t ready yet, haven't been bringing veggies in the house. Anyway, what started as a fly battle has turned into a major spring cleaning.

Monthly fish fry at the vol firehall was today. Went and picked up fish plates for the folks. Pretty good, 4 catfish fillets, hush puppies, slaw, bbeans and frys, $13. Oh, and a dessert, Choices were peanut butter pie, red velvet or chocolate cake. Always see kin there, several cousins were eating in the hall. My favorite grt uncle was there too. He’s the guy with the hat and suspenders, bottom left. Counted 7 cousins and my bil, never see him since my sister passed.

Been a long day, getting ready for bed I hope., got a lot of stuff to do tomorrow.

We have to set up an on demand water heater in the OLD RV and get it ready for the next show weekend. Probably do some other things too while we are there it needs to be raised a little more to the drivers side because it is low to the passenger side,
The drains need to be set up on a better fall, the slide out pump needs to be fixed and a hose changed.

I need to bush hog my one of my neighbors side lot, he died and she has only mowed the yard around her house. They own some land all the way up behind the first 50 feet of mine and I am going to try to buy it and another 7 or eight acres behind the other 300 feet.

@MoBookworm1957 don't screw around with a concussion. When I fell on the ice a couple years ago, it scrambled my brain pretty good for about ten days. I didn't feel quite right for about a month. A doc probably won't do much but tell you to take it easy, but definitely take it easy for a while.

My pops fell and hit the back of his head some years back. He had to get his skull drilled a week later to relieve the pressure from a brain bleed. Concussions are serious business...
