Going to clean my building. Going to do some prep work in the kitchen when I get home. Going to be a hot week, going to cook chicken and chop peppers, onion, and celery. Will make chicken pasta salad and potato salad. I have a little bit of push mowing left to do. At some point I need a nap!! I'm tired already!!

so we had an adventure yesterday, son and me went to visit this castle ( Burg Eltz) , despite the rain. We got there before it was really bad and enjoyed the visit but on the way back the road next to the river we needed to go on to get on the other side was flooded. Everything in the area flooded. Where my brother lives it is even worse his basement flooded and some entire towns are flooded.
So we had to make a huge detour and drive on the Autobahn across a really high bridge over the river to get back home....it was ok, they had a lot of speed limits in that area so they weren't driving too fast.
The guy with the umbrella is son btw.

Cooking lunch for the entire family today in my dad's less than well equipped kitchen, should be interesting....more people are coming than expected ( my brothers entire family ) so I hope I have enough food. Making Thai food.
Are people allowed to venture Inside...?!?

Would Love to Explore there...!!

2nd day of vacation. Yesterday I walked the pups and spent most of the day in the garden untill 8pm.
I had to keep reminding myself I could take my time and enjoy it for a change.
My goal is to get my areas, garden, back yard, garage , boneyard etc all clean organized n tidy so I can move on to doing projects .
Keeping the grass n weeds at bay is still a big time effort.
Today, walk pups..I need coffee. I got so busy yesterday I forgot coffee.
Anyways..pup walk, finish garden n move onto backyard.
Rain will be here middle of the week so inside stuff will happen then.
I need coffee now..

It's funny how easy it is to work harder on time off than at work!!🤔😃

Making up for Hooch's forgetting to have coffee, trying to think of something humorous to type, maybe later

Fed 4 kids and 4 adults at McDonald's. $93!

Unpack the IR thermometer I got on sale from Amazon. Not happy.

Did it ship Fedex if it did thats your culprit.

I wouldnt ship a foam pillow Fedex.

I bought a set of wheels one to try the sizing and then the other three.

The first came fedex and the square box was round, the center piece was dislodged and it made some superficial scratches in the chrome facia and some worse places on the not polished side.

When I ordered the other three after the merchant gave me 50 dollars to have the wheel polished which is what I suggested and sent them pictures instead of return it I told them do not ship these FEDEX or I don't want them UPS brought them and the box was pristine.

You know the saying ,,, FEDEX is DEAD TO ME..

My baby graduates from high school today. I'll post more later. I'm struggling with it right now. But I am proud as can be.
I was a lot more upset when My girl got married than her mom was, She married a great guy, but I hated to see her walk out that door in that wedding dress, love my grands and greats so much it is like The world is in their eyes, but she is still My baby girl.

Hope it doesn't hurt to much hay. Bad here a couple years ago, lots of rain, weeks at a time. Lots of hay was cut after it'd gone to seed or got wet after it was cut. No one had good hay that year.
True. That is my worry. Husband helps his brother cut, rake, bale and move out of pasture He pays husband in hay bales.

Soooo because stupid allergies are stupid and because I have a non-infinite amount of time, I got a gardener in to do lawn maintenance and yard cleanup.

Lawn stuff went great.

Let’s just say that I’m spending at least the next week having to re-mulch everything because his crew took up all my pine needle mulch as “trash”. And that included on my veggie beds and half-barrels. AND even though I labeled every blasted food plant and told him that I’d do that so they could avoid them, a number of them still got demolished.

Oh and he quoted me $1600 to bring in mulch and spread it. Uh-huh.

I’m frustrated and mad at myself and they are certainly not getting any more of my business outside of the lawn. Even then I am seriously debating hunting up a neighborhood kid to do the job, if I can find one.

In the meantime, I’m taking the opportunity to have a Day of Rage on all the blasted landscape cloth that’s around my yard, and clearing it out before I dump new mulch on top. It certainly will cost me a lot less to get it in myself and rake it over. Small blessings I guess.

Hope you all are doing well. Also a much belated “hi Pearl, good to see you too!”.

Finally warm weather. Took a nice 4 mile walk today, alone, where I listened to old rock and roll. I was walking 16.5 minute miles, so I really must have enjoyed it. I came home and blasted my Sonos speakers to Hawaiian music, like Iz and Company, and stained my entire patio. I then found a gallon of paint matching my exterior stucco, so I painted the west side of my house while I had no shirt and just shorts on, so I got a good start on the tan. I then went out and deep cleaned my pool filter. Boy, the recent winds caused me havoc on my filter.
Tomorrow is suppose to be drizzle most of the day, so don't know what tomorrow will bring.

Went shrimping in the lake. Boiled some shrimp and a homemade remoulade dressing. Made a salad with tomatoes from our garden, eggs from our chickens and lettuce, onion, avocado from the market. So good on a hot day.

That's an awesome photo of you and your daughter, Spike! What a happy day for the both of you!
We just went through a couple hours of an incredible storm. Phone alarms going off...didn't see a tornado though. Tree branches are down and the outhouse is leaning. Little granddaughter and I have alot of cleanup tomorrow. Hopefully it's done with tonight.

The north end of that weather system hit me about a half hour ago. According to the radar there's some heavy rain in it here too...
