The next town over is posting damage photos on facebook...trees on cars, on houses, covering driveways....the bigger town has leaning power poles. Aside from the outhouse, we have one humongous branch down, and I'm not sure what's going on in the goose and turkey areas, I'll look tomorrow. Still raining, but it's calmer.

Too close for comfort!!

All is Peaceful and Quiet around here... Not a Creature is stirring, not even a Mouse...!!!

Cut some grass, about two acres and lifted the deck, then the lift actuator quit, dragged out the push mower tied it behind the rider and got the other half of main yard done.

Pulled it up to the garage and took the panel off tested the switches and replaced the main fuse with a breaker, pulled the side panel and there are two more hidden fuses the one for the electric lift actuator was blown, replaced it with a breaker, ready to go for about 8 acres tomorrow on the day of rest.

It is restful cutting grass when that is all you are dealing with.

The bush hog Is sitting on the other five acres that need cut after the 8 is finished so maybe by Monday night I will have part of a weeks done.

In the morning when it is cool I will be looking for a way to move a bunch of vehicles to a central location.

Got a bite on Sonny's 19.5 Cuddy today maybe a 5G sale will help the truck payment get on down the line.

Needing to buy HP 5.3 short block and some parts for the workhorse 01 Tahoe.

Have to build the 383 the 440 SS and refresh the B&M Torqueflite and regear the R/T to 2:73 Suregrip. or 2:76 Dana.

Cant find a new set of Nascar powdered sintered iron shoes for it.

May have to get some disk conversion kits. Going to get it prepped for the top, hood, trunk painting and A New Windshield.

Bum Bum Bum Bum x 3- Bum, Mr Sandman I'm ready please, Bring me a really gooood nights sleep!!!!

Night all Sweet Chordettes out there.

last fall the pivot shaft broke on my brush cutter. Yesterday I priced the parts to fix it; $1500. I can buy a new machine for $3400. So I'm going to order a new brush cutter tomorrow after I get out of the hospital, depending on how I feel. My dad bought the old one in 2001. It's time for a replacement.
Tonight I got a call a call from a friend of mine, he's interested in buying my jet boat. If the price is right I'll sell it.

Allergies SUCK!! It's not nice to NOT be able to do stuff yourself!! Hope you can enjoy doing your own mulch!! 💗
Yeah, my problem seems to be digging. Whatever I’m allergic to is some sort of soil-based mold. But the shots have made it much better! I didn’t get all red when I tackled the landscape cloth yesterday, so progress!

Hope everyone is OK. Thanks to Havasu for posting updates for me.

Glad to finally have power back but we lost everything in fridge and freezer. Air fryer died. Water leaked all over the floor from the freezer side of the fridge. It isn't hooked up to water, but it seems condensate/ice or something.

I really want to get solar power now. Anyone heard of sungold power? They have big sales right now and I'm thinking of getting one of their packages and setting it up.

I was overheated and almost blacked out. Also over-exerted myself trying to pick Mom up when she fell. Ended up sleeping almost all day. Was too tired to drive anywhere and didn't eat anything. There was nothing to cook since everything spoiled. I'll have to replace the milk and some stuff tomorrow.

so more rain yesterday and everything is flooded, the first video is the road we couldn't drive back on, the next is a few miles from where my brother lives ( the town is right on the border with France, Saarbruecken) , the town we are in had a landslide and flood downtown that closed the road . this is very unusual for here to get so much rain
My cousins and uncle visited yesterday so we just stayed home, no castle photos today...
Oh and a friend stopped by walking the dog

plan on hiking to a ruin today but not sure we can get to it because of the flooding. The main road to there is clear but the hike is along a river....probably not happening. SHould have brought my muck boots for sure

Boneyard..just a peice of my field I've fenced off for my stuff, future projects, firewood, the coop is in it. It used to be a diet pen for my horse when she would start getting to fat in the field. And as a rotation pasture for the goat with her kids..its my area now.

I was sitting, trying to work up the motivation to take the trash bin down to the road, garbage day... I heard a strange noise...

A huge limb fell from an oak in my yard... Guess I don't have to worry about the garbage truck. No one is driving past here in the next few hours... It'll take the county a while to get a crew out here. I'm not touching it... this is very dangerous limb to cut...

At least it missed the mail box! :)

Drinking some coffee and sort of working while listening to a conference call. Got a text from the oldest to let me know he survived his first night at the new job with minimal mouse interaction. Youngest and I helped him clean and sanitize the place yesterday. Took about three hours. Going to pick up the folks from the airport after lunch today. It’s breezy verging on full windy this morning outside. A cold breeze at that. The garden looks pretty good, but it’s definitely behind where it usually is this time of the year.
