Sounds Like a Plan ^^^...!!! Carry On Me brother...!! ☃️

👻👻

@Frodo I think they wanted to sell you a new tire instead. For some reason it made me think of a People's Court episode I watched yesterday. A woman got 4 new tires put on at a local shop. Two days later she's driving and the front driver side tire rolls off. Her vehicle drops and she sees the tire rolling away in front of her. The studs (or whatever you call the things sticking out for the wheels to go on) were broken. She takes pics and calls the tire shop. Tire shop blows her off. So she sues them for the cost to repair her vehicle. They claim the owner doesn't speak English-- only Spanish. Judge speaks Spanish, but he won't answer her question as to why a tire would come off 2 days after being put on. He keeps insisting that the tire was put on tightly and has video (from overhead) of an air ratchet being used to tighten the nuts. From what I understand, if they overtighten and/or cross thread the nuts they can ruin the studs-- even crack/break them. He kept acting like the only way would be if the nuts came loose, but since the parts the wheel fit on were broken, my guess is they overtightened and/or cross threaded. Customer won and owner of the tire shop stormed out in a huff (and he spoke English to say the decision was BS).

I hate when people no call no show. The only electrician in the area who would answer the phone did that to us (and to my best friend) several times. Just never bothered to show up. Won't deal with that jerk anymore. At least have the courtesy to call and cancel when someone is waiting. But that is common around here. "Common" courtesy and decency are not so common.

Water is out again. Either its the jet pump, the wires to it, or the switch. It is completely dead silent. No attempts to come on. Got a new switch we can try. Also have a new pressure tank to install. Might have to replace the pump though. Goulds J10S 1hp pump. Not cheap, but could be worse.

Mom didn't want food before going to the appointment yesterday. Fortunately, she didn't take the meds that make her loopy so she was able to walk OK. She got hangry in the grocery store and started having a mini tantrum in the store. I still need to empty stuff out of the freezer and fridge and get it fully restocked. I did restock some stuff but still need to get rid of other stuff. Trash is full and I had trouble lifting the bag. Brother was supposed to help me with it but you know how it is with him.

I'm about to go try again in a few minutes and then get some breakfast.

Almost all broken wheel studs (the name its self is bad nomenclature) shear from over torque, wheels should never be just rattled on with an impact, unless it is equiped with a torque limiting device. and they should be tigtened with a torque indicating tool. so many shops rattle them up, and then when they check the torque wrench clicks, right away, wrong, over tight leading to broken studs

I always take my wheels off whichever vehicle is getting tires and put them back on at home!!

Still being busier than I would like.
Yesterday was walk, walk dogs, 2 loads of laundry, cut chicken, chicken livers and carrots and sweet potatoes for dog food.
Made dog food yesterday afternoon and cooked overnight.

Walked with Bo this morning.
Have 2 pressure canners of dog food going with 14 quarts total so far. Still have at least another canner to fill this afternoon. Will be glad to get this done!
Will look at tickets on Amtrak to go visit DH's family in IL, probably in October.

All you friends and Neighbors in the Midwest have a really bad system coming to you and eventually we will get it in the east end of the alley, Hope GOD protects you all, and your crops from the hail that did so much damage.

Fingers toes eyes legs arms all crossed for everyone not already affected by it.

Gonna finally get to mowing I guess HMMMM! yeah gonna rain tomorrow.

I said that 4 orders ago, but I can always think of 1 more thing that I "need"... :)
I got 3 rolls of 800 hundred meters each ( 3 X 800 meters = 7874.01 feet) from China for less than $330.00, that includes 100 fits & 10 filters for system & shipping from mainland China.
I got two rolls the are 30 cm or 12 inch apart emitters(5249.34 feet) & one roll of 15 cm or 6 inch emitters (2624.67 feet).
I already had the hard roll supply line from a US company, so all I need now is underground lines pulled over the field to supply the water.
4000.' tape in USA before shipping is $287.00, that is 0.4mm or 15mils thickness, so I think I will break even in the end.
I am buying timers local, I like the brand that I used last few years.

The rain was  heavy this morning in Iowa. There were places that saw short downpours at a rate of 8" per hour. I know of another place that got 7/8" in less than 20 minutes. We are between storms now. The second wave is supposed to have more dangerous weather with hail and tornadoes. It should be arriving any time now...

Work till 12:30. Went to pick up wifes car. Then came home and plowed up a little spot for a row onions, beans, cukes, and okra. Got most of it tilled and lost an axle bolt. Trying to find something to replace it with.
87 today, hottest day so far this year. Figures I'd be out tillin and planting. Came inside to cool down and down more water. Back at it

Fried chicken livers are good.

I didn't manage to motivate myself to work on the trash/emptying fridge/freezer yet. Got distracted by Mom's multiple requests for stuff. The wifi card that came with her mini computer doesn't Starlink or vice versa and it kept not wanting to connect. I ordered her a TPLink wifi dongle and needed to put it in for her. Got it in and switched to Wifi2 under her settings and it worked right away.

I went down a virtual rabbithole trying to research stuff for fixing up the well/pump situation. Really need to get the wiring and plumbing more organized. It's a hot mess right now.

Haven't made any white bread for a while, been doing a lot of banana bread. So cooking up some of the basic white stuff. They call it "basic", but it sure does taste good and smells great when baking.

My goals for bread making are simple - I want to be able to open a new bag of flour, measure what I need into the bread maker, put the remainder into my airtight canister ... and NOT come out looking like the Pillsbury Dough Boy afterwards. Man, flour is messy. No matter how careful I try to be when dealing with it, the slightest less than perfectly executed motion causes it to go everywhere. Just looking crooked at the measuring cup sitting there on the counter and - poof! - the kitchen (and me!) are covered.

Tomorrow the knobs, pulls, grab bars/towel holders, hooks, and door knobs all get installed.

Friday the countertop gets delivered and installed, so the vanity/cabinet should be finished then.

The Blinds are 2 weeks out, the shower glass is 2 weeks out, and after that, all the plumbing fixtures (tub/toilet/and all fixtures will get done ... and that will be the end!

Finally finished fence repairs today. It only took a little over a week to make it around the parameter. I've got about a mile or so that I need to completely rebuild when I get the time, but at least its cow proof right now. There's at least two areas where I'm going to realign the fence and move it over to the actual property line. One area will add quite a bit of good timber ground.
Also ordered a new brush mower today.

I used the loader to fill to 55 gallon rubber mate drums & load them on the truck today, I love my tractor.
My primer Blueberry plant has a few ripe berries, but all the rest are still green, raspberries are not ripe, a few blackberries are ripe.
Straw berries are just about gone, that did not take long.
