I hope you get to feeling better soon, Weedy. Sounds miserable.
We've been busy...animal chores, then off to the graveyard with daughter and little granddaughter and husband...brought some garden flowers for mom. Then to my favorite cousin's place (she's in Indiana at the moment), but borrowed a bee suit from her son in law. Our daughter that is visiting does bees in Washington, and we have a bee tree she's going to get in to. We packed a picnic and went to the zoo in the bigger town. Ate and saw the animals...it's a small free zoo, but nicely done. Then to Braums to get ice cream cones. It's hot out now and everyone is resting. We might go bring a gift to the neighbors for their new baby before supper, we'll see.

Sounds like a great family day for all, life is too short to miss seeing them as often as you possibly can, one day maybe eve the next day after you say not today, there will be no use.

My Paternal Grandmothers "special kid" was her oldest Son, he helped her get wood, fire the stove, set up her pots on the hooks in the fireplace and did all the heaviest chores for her instead of the girls.

He also worked with the rest of the boys in the field

He was killed the last two weeks of the war on a FF run and was not killed in the crash, both legs were broken and a nazi bashed his head in with a rifle butt.

They declared him FOD and he was brought home in 1954 from a Church Cemetery in France thanks to a patriot that saw it happen and got him picked up.

Family and good friends are our wealth, gold and silver is just something shiny...

He was buried in his hometown,

I have three in the National Cemetery, Knoxville, Tn. from the maternal side.

Grimm, what direction are you with DFW? I am south but had training in Rockwell a few weeks ago. Solid 2 hour drive. You mentioned it awhile back that you went there shopping. Crazy drive! We have 1 four way stop where I live
We are southeast of DFW. Think half way between Dallas and Tyler. Our town has one main road and a handful of gas stations by the 175. You turn right when heading south on that main road to get to the next town over before crossing the lake. We are on the east side of Cedar Creek Lake.

Today has been an okay day. Did grocery shopping at 06:00, home and everything put up by 08:00. Then prepped the raised bed an planted okra. Changed focus to add extra backup lights to the truck, I have a tow hitch step and mounted 2 lights to the bottom of that, I used a regular 7 blade trailer connector to provide power to the lights.

At lunch I got lectured about overbuying food, seems I bought 5 boxes of Goya rice, 1 Spanish, 1 yellow rice, and 3 Mexican Rice. After a heated discussion I found a resolution. Once every two weeks (when I get paid) I have Friday off and will do the grocery shopping then, but only if the wife provides a shopping list and I will only buy what's on the list.

After the dust cleared I went out and mowed the lawn, done with that by 16:00 and had to take a shower (I'm allergic and breakout). The rain we were expecting never came so I am going to work out in the garden until my day is done.

Thank you. I was really hoping to work in the yard and garden this weekend, but I just feel like sleeping.

Went to the Mission Inn in Riverside for a brunch with friends. A really beautiful building!

we need a new air fryer AND microwave bc neither are working. Ugh.
Just bought a Galanz microwave/ air fryer combo. $70 at Walmart. I love it so far! And just one appliance sitting out @zannej
My best friend has that microwave. It was too small for us and my brother will use the air fryer while I'm using the microwave and vice versa. It's nice to have two forms of cooking at once. We ended up getting a 2.2cu ft Panasonic microwave from Samsclub for under $200. Still miss the 3.0cu ft Montgomery Ward convection microwave. My new microwave has "inverter technology".
Yes, but for little butt's only!
Well, I guess that means I wouldn't be able to fit on it. LOL.
That is what I want, a combination microwave and air fryer. Microwave is above the stove and once in a while acts a little quirky.

It is day two of not feeling well. On Saturday I was vomiting about once an hour and visiting the porcelain throne. I've only eaten a few saltine crackers and been drinking 7 up and Canada Dry. I don't feel like vomiting, but I do not really want to eat anything. It has been about 15 years since I had a similar thing, and then found out I was one of 9 who got food poisoning at a staff lunch.
The Galanz one is pretty good. My friend likes his.

Hope you get feeling better soon. Food poisoning sucks!

I've been watching videos on wiring stuff to make sure I have the right type of cable for the changes in the pump house. I also put dust screen over all of the outside vents and any holes large enough for roaches to crawl into-- didn't put anything on the inside though. Hopefully the buggers will be kept out. I also rubbed peppermint oil all over the outside of the microwave and I cleaned the countertop off before setting it down. My brother has already splattered stuff inside of it and not cleaned it up. Ugh.

Went into town to pick up something I got for my friend. He gave me his USB hub because he wasn't using it, but now he needed one so I got him a new one. I also picked up my RX. Stopped at TSC for cow feed. Put the feed out and called the cows before I parked. Kwaiying came up to me not knowing where the food was so I petted her face and led her over to it. As soon as she saw it she started to jog. Alleria moseyed on over afterward.

Re-heated Chinese takeout for Mom. I'm about to go back to watching tutorial videos.

Thanks. Have you checked at Canton yet? Lot of people make that drive for Christmas gifts. Been one time. Tttooooo crowded for me. Husband and I attended Tyler Jr college for 2 years and moved home to commute to Sam Houston State for degrees in education. I am halfway between Houston and Dallas. Jerky capitol of Texas

Finally got around to processing the Usnea I harvested from the fallen tree branch a week ago. Took all day to chop the dry, brittle usnea, it gets tough. I need a food processor. Anyway, in a month I’ll have another 12ounces of tincture.

Burgers with family at lunch, nothing but rest and tv on the schedule tonight.

Well all GOOD days must come to an end, Cleaning the Vantec 20s And one slid down my left arm as I was reaching under it for the handle to turn it up on its end.

I have old folks dry rotten skin and it peeled the top layer off for about 4" x 2 in five rollbacks.

I bled it good rolled what I could back down, but that speaker box did a job on it. put a 6x2" telfa and some Neosporin on it, Wish I had got it leveled out better, it will be a mess for a month.

I will have to go check out Canton.

I still haven't been but it is a BIG ONE. Oh, sorry, a big first Monday Market.
Yeah, I will need to check that out! I just looked at their website and that is my kind of place!

Well, maybe you could become a vendor there! Once a month for a few days your whole life would go on standby, but then there's the prep for all of it. I thought about doing it, back when I wasn't alone. I guess once you get a system down it'd work out well enough.

I just rolled a place on my arm on a 2x8x16 Saturday. Bled all over, ran down my hand and arm. Wife got wide eyed when she saw the blood when I came in to clean it up.

Just hung out here at the house today, got my tools all put away and rest of the mess cleaned up
hey now gittin hurt and bleeding is my gig

I have been perfecting my salves and oil blends. I wonder how bunny fur dog chews/treats would do sales wise.

Tuesday morning cat care at the shelter, then cut the front grass here and pack the car for another trip north.
