Been digging my pond the last few days, rained all night so not sure if I can work on it today. Sun is finally coming up, guess I'll go see.

Mixed bag lately.

Still recovering from falling through the step.
I'm a multi-hued person atm.
The scrapes weren't deep and I'm shaking the flu which seemed to come back and have a second swing at me.

I found out the hard way that the cord I brought for my whipper snipper is too small and the cat knocked over the two stroke oil bottle.
I thought I had screwed to lid on tight but ob. not tight enough.
Now it's a wait until pension day to buy more oil and large gauge cord.
It bugs the heck out of me to dig deep and get hard headed about getting a job done esp. when I'm not well
and everything goes pear shaped.

I tried to take the battery out of the car to put in the ride-on mower and the kid who replaced the car battery screwed the battery clamps down so tight he stripped the edged off the bolts. *sigh*
I have skinned knuckles to show for my efforts and a ton of frustration and not much else.
The space around the battery is very, very tight so I can't get a shifter or a heavy duty spanner down
there to get any sort of decent leverage happening.
At this juncture I'm thinking that drilling the bolts out is the only way I'm going get them out.
Buying a new battery is going to be the expensive way of fixing the ride-on situation BUT it doesn't fix the
car battery issue.
I'm open to suggestions.
ATM the car battery issue is a can I'm going to kick down the road until I get over my utter disgust.

DH gets new batteries from O'Reilleys if you have one. They will remove the old battery and install new one for free. Decent price for battery also.

Getting tax info ready for tax lady, eBay photos and then bingo at Church later (no money involved). For prizes we all just bring something that we think others might like. I always bring something I canned. Today it will be pineapple chunks. Usually gets grabbed up first! LOL Thawing meat tonight to make and can dog food tomorrow.

Checked in at work for some "Cyber Training" and got Drafted. Section Chief had a problem, described the assignment, talked about a solution. Yeah.......Im the "Solution", its what I do. Funny how that works. I was Hoping for it anyway. Ive been Lazin around Drinking and Eating too much since Dec 14th. Back to "The Dark Side" in the morning. I went to the Grocery Store for "Work Snacks". On the way Home it Rained "Cats and Dogs". Rare for here, this time of year. Rain is Kool. Grilled some Carne. Got my Field Gear together. Did some reading. Waiting for Sleep

Applied for homestead exemption. About to get dog food in crockpots and make pumpkin treats for the pups. Today is all about the dogs! LOL Then run dishwasher full of jars to get ready to pressure can the dog food. And make spaghetti pie for dinner with a pecan pie cake for dessert. Pretty full day!

Scanning. Archiving. Scanning ... Archiving ... repeat and repeat and repeat ... I back up everything on THREE external hard drives. I have to reformat a drive from windows to MAC, so it's taking longer to get the task done, this year. I lost a hard drive once, only able to retrieve most (not all) of my data. So now, I have 3 ... 'just in case'. I've been downsizing my 86 y/o dad's house to ready him to a small apartment. I've inherited thousands of photos that my 2 brothers did not want possession of (from 1930's to present) and that was a daunting task (sorting, tossing, labeling, scanning). We will all get a copy of final electronic file. Rule of thumb for prepping: "Back up your back up" ... then back it up again.

Huge spaghetti pie made! Dog food made. Timing it in the pressure canner now. The good thing is if things went south, we could eat the dog food I can as it is basically chicken and hamburger stew! Glad to be done but the cake did not get made today.

Had 4 5-gallon water bottles that needed filling. Survived work, and it was really busy...two tours and a new preschooler starting tomorrow. Grocery shopping for the Kroger sales this week..a case of canned beans at $5.88. I bought a few, and stocked up on other sale items. Busy mylar bagging cake mixes I bought at 88 cents a box, and Bear Creek mixes. They had pasta on sale for 67 cents a bag and have started food savering the 60 bags I bought. Our son is giving the twins boxing lessons right now, so the house is quiet for once.

packing, cleaning, and not. Sitting here on the forum, being distracted, a good thing, physical difficulties get in the way of accomplishing things. Ticks me off.

I hear ya on that one! I have plantar fasciitis in both feet and a bone spur on my right heel. Standing for very long has become difficult at best. Hopefully. The PF will resolve after I have the spur removed. I'm ready to up and moving again!
