It's amazing how grown men like my Irishman thinks.
We're getting dressed this morning .
And I tell him simply that there is something wrong with my jeans.
He tells me no there isn't, my jeans look fine.
No, I tell him there is something wrong with my jeans.
Look, I can get my jeans down without unsnapping them or unzipping them.
They fit well everywhere except in the waist.
But they do need to be hemmed.
I got a hug, kiss a pat.
I got his belt back.

Sitting in the woods where there is no pollution (air, water, noise, or otherwise), no traffic jams, no Muslim extremists, no politics, no power grid, AND NO DEMOCRATS.

And at the moment, no animals

So you're saying there's a correlation between the presence of animals and the presence of democrats? 🤣

Everybody knows the animals come to town.
When the hunters goes to the woods.
At least in my part of Missouri that's how it is.

Slept in til 0830. My little watch thingy told me I slept over 10 hours, which is good because work and travel have been kicking my a$$. I'm about to walk up to the coffee shop. GF wants me to dress up for beggars night. She got a cute witch costume, apparently that means I have to get something too. The last time I dressed up for Halloween was 2005. I went as a pimp, and my ex wife went as a ho. I think I still have the pimp costume somewhere, but I'm not sure GF would approve...

Just finishing up with my 2nd, 12oz cup of Costa Rican from the coffee shop. That stuff is potent. My ears are ringing and I'm pretty sure I just flew up the steps to my door...

Fareway had top sirloin on sale for $8/lb so I got a 22oz steak for dinner. Also got some chili beans on sale. The weather gets cold and rainy after today, so it's probably time to make some cold weather food...

The picnic table top blew off and the dog is barking at it.
I've heard several trees and branches going down in the woods since I've been home!! Hubby is off today and a big dead tree went down in the woods. He started to go cut it up but it's so windy he was afraid something would fall on him!! It's also very dusty with all this wind! Bear and I are going to take a nap!!

It'd be a good napping day. I just turned the air on, though, because I'm not opening windows. I've dusted and mopped, and favorite cousin coming tomorrow....needs to stay clean. Husband is napping though. Time to start some 9 grain bread in a minute. And get a big scalloped potato pan going for the luncheon after the work tomorrow.

I have the A/C on too because of the dust!! After my nap I might get a jump start on cutting stuff up for fajitas!!

Got up, worked out, cleaned up, exchanged time for money, ran to a store to buy a t-shirt, took the t-shirt to a different store, put on the t-shirt, had them take a photo of me in said t-shirt and print the image out, put printed image in a cheap white frame, came home, hid framed image in the lady's luggage, hid the t-shirt in the gun safe, finalized next weeks menu and the grocery order, ordered Halloween cupcakes for the cleaning crew and grocery delivery people, set out the big spooky candy bucket, put out a "Trick or Treat Here!" sign on the door provided by the apartment management, and now I am hanging out here with you until I have to prepare and provide food for my ladies.

The water company came today to figure out what is what with our water meters. We have 2 because this place used to be a duplex. The address of both places differ in only one having an " a" after the street number and the older account has the old township name.

They never give an exact time or a phone call ahead of times. So I sat on front porch all day until I got a knock on the door. So it was a pleasant day of napping and waiting. Pretty much a wasted day.

Tomorrow should be more adventures in the garden finding what I can find.

Just sorted my garlic harvest from this past July. Looking for the biggest cloves of each type to plant.
Selected 18 each of Nookita Rose and Red Creole. 36 of my Martins Heirloom.
3rd or 4th year of growing these types and I've got a good stock now to eat on and still take the best to plant.
The red creole is the worst producer of the 3, smaller cloves, heads opening up and just not keeping as well. I've already given away a 4th type I've been growing due to poor performance. Gonna give the creole one more shot and give them away if next harvest dont improve. Only reason I'm trying them again is the flavor. Plus I hate giving up on something. I really enjoy growing garlic, but space is limited in my bed
The nookita rose has held up well and is the 2nd best producer. Nice size cloves, good flavor.
But Martins Heirloom is the hands down winner. Huge cloves, tight heads after 4 months, great flavors, and a much better producer overall Many thanks to Elkhound for turning me onto this type.
Gonna plant here in a bit, the signs and moon phase is right.
