After 3 plus years of doing my laundry by hand I've finally lost my sense of humour about it.

I've decided on a 5 ltr 12v/ 250V portable twin tub washing machine.
It'a small enough to be run by my solar system...when I eventually get the thing built.

I'm getting a toasting rack to fit over my stove AND a iron double jaffle iron.
I haven't had toast for 3 years.
I want toast!
I want to have jaffles.
I want to get clean clothes without climbing into the bathtub and doing the clean clothes hula!

Just come pick up my place and move it for me. We were actually looking in your area when we found our place up in the mountains.
Ah, come on over! These are in our back yard right now.

What's a jaffle, Tankgirl? Is it a waffle? We have waffles once a week for a snack at the preschool. They're good.
Am laughing my head off after reading our local news on the KOB website.
The illegals went to Santa Fe to protest our crummy govt school system.
They want more money put into it to make it better. They want scholarships for college.
That's a lot of wants for an illegal who shouldn't be here and doesn't pay taxes that would pay for these things.
Feeling like a working slave.
Our morning lady will be out again tomorrow. So that means I go in at 6:15 again. Bummer is I have to work till 6:30 p.m. tomorrow. I think everyone will need to find their own dinner tomorrow.

A Jaffle is made with a Jaffle iron.
It's a toasted sandwich maker that you use over a heat source.
The best ones are made with cast iron.
I've seen them marketed in the US as pie makers but they're made of aluminium which
I personally wouldn't touch with a barge pole.
If you can find one made with cast iron I'd buy that one.

Started off the morning with stripping the bed and making it with clean sheets. DH then washed the dishes, cleaned the benches and I wiped them and put them away.

I loaded the dirty sheets and weekly towels, hand towels and floor mats into the washing machine with any others I found around the house ready for a load in the washing machine for toworrow. Nothing much else done for the day as it was another hot day here today but at least we had a bit of a breeze and a couple of drops of rain but not enough to even dampen the ground.

Tonight's dinner was honey soy chicken drumsticks with the meat broken off made into sandwiches and dessert was ice-cream.

Have to run to local grocery for eggs to hard boil, can't run out of them! Will make broccoli apple salad and garden salad for Sunday School get together tonight (always try to make what I can eat in case that is all I can have, LOL). Going up to the Church to start on a project. The brand--Cato-- gave them a whole room's worth of clothes a couple of years ago--to give out (not sell). The room looks like a clothing factory exploded in it! Not quite sure where to start, but will work on organizing it. It was offered to me, just to see if there is anything I can wear, but I don't think I can leave the room in the state it is. Also, the Church secretary brought me a bag of clothes I can pick up today. Apparently, my clothes don't fit well, anymore. 76 pounds down now. Then go to get together this evening!

Cooked-done
Made 9 quarts of beef vegetable soup two days ago, was going to can up leftovers.
Ate it all but 2 bowls, so much for that idea.
Walking about 1500 steps a day inside my apartment, while weather is crappy.
Strawberry prances right beside me, thinking we're going somewhere.
She's been outside several times already today.
Working on Uncle's afghan, working on another one too.
Gives my arm and hand a break when they go numb.
Mom has doctor's appointment Friday. I'm taking her.
Had to go to laundrymat to do laundry, machines don't work here.
They say their no fixing this time, matter of fact taking them out.
Makes apartments north of town all the more appealing.
2 bedrooms,1 handicap bathroom, kitchen, living, laundry room,1 car garage, front porch, back patio.
I can still have Strawberry beings she's my seizure dog.
Down side can't bbq. But went to raised beds so those can go on back patio.
Rents about double what I pay now, but none of my surgery expenses was taken off rent this year as was in years past.
Money will be tight for a while but I live under my income anyway.
Fully expect rent where I am now to hit $575 in October. North of town would be less.
And they are less than 3 years old.
All depends on new owners decide to do.
Got dab of dishes to do.
Relaxing, crocheting, quilting.
Had grand daughter yesterday, she was full of p&v.
Oldest son is moving in with his lady in the spring, so I could have his washer and dryer.
Found out yesterday also getting his 52" inch tv, x box 1,washer and dryer, and his movie collection, games, my chest of drawers.
But he's taking from my place, Estelle's toddler bed, toy kitchen, high chair.
His lady has 3 children, Jake age 7, Abigail age 5, Gwen age 3 soon to be 4, 1 German Shepard puppy 6 months old, son has Estelle age 18 months. .
Life will be fun.

I'm in trouble! Wife reminded me this morning that we are invited to the Pastor's (along with another couple) for supper. Pastor been here 15 years and this is the first time we have been invited over. I had been on the church board for 25 (?) years and refused to allow my name to be returned to the ballot (young Pastor needs younger folks with new ideas on the Board. Sometimes not enough deaths on main street can hinder progress). I've been off the Board for 5 years and will not be returning to "politics", I made this clear to the Pastor a few months ago.. I'm not rich or one of the top donors, so it isn't about money. I'm more of behind the scenes and a loner, if Pastor wants us and the other couple to head up ANOTHER new committee, my answer is no thank you (wife will say yes, procrastinate, over extended herself and then be mad at me).

Wonder what I'm getting buttered up for...

A lovely afternoon, changing passwords that may have been compromised in a data breach or 6:

Hi David,

Credit Karma’s Identity Monitoring service routinely checks to see if your email has been in a data breach. It looks like your personal data may have been compromised — not at Credit Karma, but somewhere else.

Your info was found in two large recent data dumps, known as ‘Collection #1’ and ‘Collection #2’. Both of these collections are combolists — a combination of several individual data breaches.

Together, these two combolists included over 4 billion records, with at least 21 million individual passwords exposed.

Check to see if this exposed data included any of your online passwords, and get steps on what to do next.

Next was an unexpected sign in on my netflix.

Really nothing to worry about, high security accounts have unique passwords, but things like netflix, twitter etc may share one.

All High security accounts are two step verification too.

Hey Snappy1....lucky you getting CATO clothes. That's my go to store here. They stock a lot of the skirts I wear. Mo...I hope you don't have to watch all of those kids.
I went in to work at o dark thirty, and my morning person I was replacing shift with walked in about 20 minutes later. I was in the kitchen and heard the door jiggling and about took her out with the fire extinguisher. We weren't opening for a half an hour. When I talked to her the afternoon before, she said she has missed her dr appt because she had taken some sleeping pills to rest...had a horrible cold. She didn't realize she told me she needed today off, too. So I worked a few hours, went to the grocery store and got the weeks specials, came home and got some soup started in the crock pot, laundry done, and had to go back in till 6:30 tonight. What a weird day.

Another day of watching the rain... Which is preferable to looking inside, tiny lady bugs have invaded my house, annoying little @#$.

I did manage to sweep the hall and bathroom. I gave both a good swiffer wetmop. Got a load of laundry done. I filtered all the oil in the fry daddy through a coffee filter. 3 frys and the oil is still clean, no strong odors.

I need a few groceries. I might go tomorrow.

@Peanut I love having lady bugs visit in the house. They are good luck. You know they are blood thirsty predators. Aphids are their favorite but they also eat scale, mites, and white flies; so if you have any soft bodied parasitic pests on your house plants, you could introduce the little killers to the plants.
They release pheronomes which can attract other LB's from a 1/4 mile away. If you see yellow stuff, that is their blood. It stains. If you scare them, they might bleed. They leave in the spring but the leftover pheronome odor attracts them in successive years. Usually will die from dehydration inside the house. Otherwise, if there are too many, go ahead and eliminate them, vaccuum. :(
I could never.

Totally understand @dademoss I checked my bank account from the 18th on the 19th and found a nefarious $190 withdrawal with no description on it except miscellaneous debit. Been hold of customer service they say that it will be 10 days before anything can be done and we just spoke to our local branch who rang us to find out if something can be done quicker to return the $190 back to our bank account. They are going to call us back after they get onto the fraud team and hopefully it will be rectified sooner rather than later. Usually any debits on our account show up as where they are from the next day but not in this case.

So I am saying to everyone to regularly keep checking your bank account transactions to see if there are unexplained transactions on it.

Round 1 of this morning is I have put on a load of washing and hung it on the clothes line to dry. DH has vacuumed the whole house and I have mopped all the floors as with all of this dry weather there is a fine powder of red dirt everywhere through the house. DH has also damp dusted most of the furniture to get rid of the dust. Unfortunately we have to have the windows open to get some breeze as it is so hot. Today however it is a bit cooler with a cool breeze which we are loving and likely it will be the same but lower temperatures over the coming days. Also I deep cleaned the bathroom and toilet as well.

Yes, I know...

Yesterday I dosed off in my recliner... woke up to one of trying to climb up my nostril!
YES I CAN! YES I CAN! ;):D

Nope not happening

Both son and his lady work 3rd shift.
Her kids goes to their dad's every night.
I see no reason to change that arrangement, nor do I want too.
I have Estelle this weekend all day.
Aunt has her at night.
I watch her one weekend a month from noon to 4:30 pm.
Son has her till noon.
Estelle leaves my house goes straight to her Aunt's house.
Mom has her 3 days a week when she's off.
Aunt also has big sister too.
Otherwise son and Aunt has her.
Every since surgery, I'm just back up sitter.
Before that had her 16 hour days why mommy screwed around.
Son and Estelle's mom are no longer together.
Son has Estelle everyday after he gets off 3rd shift.
Two of lady friend's kids are in school all day, so she only has one at home from 8 am to 2:45 pm.
Her shift is 4pm to 4 am. She sleeps from 4:30 till 8. Then if she's lucky maybe a nap.
Not watching girlfriend's kids. Not my place.
After March 10th, lady friend's youngest can start school's daycare program. She has to be 4 and she will be on March 10th.
I also don't pay for date night.
Don't plan on going to school activities either in stead of parents. Not my place.

@MoBookworm1957 :cool:

@Peanut that's yuck :confused:

@Sewingcreations15 when we lived out in the country here there were certain times of year I would leave the windows closed because of all the grit, sand and dirt dust that would flow into the house. I'd never experienced that before.

Have a lot to take care of with legal papers and finances this weekend. It's not bad, needs to be done. I don't know why everyone hates the thought of taking care of this kind of stuff. Be good to get it out of the way.

Round 2 of today is that we packed seeds and an a6 journal cover I made and filled out some silent elector paperwork to confirm change of address (yes family violence is the reason why and this way our location and names is kept secret and not published on the electoral roll) and posted them at the post office. Incidentally if you have someone you know who is in a violent situation you may also be able to do this in the States too so well worth looking into and doing to ensure their safety as people can look on the electoral roll to find anyone through freedom of information act.

We then went to the local RSL branch and helped the elder gentleman who volunteers there to prepare the paperwork and make phone calles for the upcoming ANZAC parade as he has macular degeneration and it would have taken the poor man hours, as his secretary is on holidays who usually does the paperwork. He gave us two free soft drinks for helping which was lovely, but not necessary. DH and I then played a couple of games of pool together and DH won one and I won the second game and we purchased another couple of soft drinks and had a chat to the guy who volunteers there as he is lovely. We were the only ones there.

Tonight we are using our cooked chicken from specials we picked up at Christmas in the freezer to make a chicken pie to which we will add tinned mushrooms and homemade white sauce from storage.

Later we will fold up the weeks 3 loads of washing and put it away and relax for the evening.
