Had a friend drop by last night, she was here when I had seizure, killed the microwave.
Had arc of electricity from me to Microwave, freaked her out, don't have the seizures that bad usually.
Seems scary to me, Mo. I have seen people fall and get hurt. I have never heard of an electrical arc from the person. I do know seizures can take a while to recover from. It sounds as though you recovered pretty quickly.

Round 1 of today is that DH has washed the dishes and cleaned the benches and I wiped the dishes and put them away. DH then headed to the post office to pick up our 6 above ground garden beds that arrived and half of our post hole auger, the motor is coming we have been told :) via courier in the next couple of days. I moved the grey water sprinkler around the back yard to water any bare lawn patches.

DH has a loaf of bread going in the bread making machine and I cleaned up the kitchen floor and kitchen bench and cupboard door where our butter melted on the counter that DH forgot to put away. He has now put the butter away in the fridge.

Having lunch now and had a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice, the rest of the red grapes we purchased on cleanance and eating homemade honey, oat, coconut and almond granola with milk, yum.

Shortly we shall use up the shower warm up water to damp dust the house with as the red country dust is growing by the hour on our belt rails, skirting boards and furniture.

Flying home from L.A. today. Saw a dude in a dress and heels boarding the plane in front of me. I guess I've been working in California too long, because instead of being creeped out I was wondering, How is that guy going to be able to make it down the jetway and walk through the plane in those heels?

You know, he was actually more graceful in heels than most women are. It was both impressive and cringe worthy at the same time...
LOL!! I saw a guy yesterday in skinny jeans that were showing his undies and butt crack just slightly. skinny jeans with a plaid shirt. If one saw just his face, he was a nice looking fellow, with a well trimmed thick man beard. Just the face view reminded me of a manly special ops guy who like to sport the Viking beard look. But then..he had these crappy skinny jeans on with some prissy loafer shoes..
I held back the urge to tell him where the tampons were...

I doggy sat hoochs girlfriend who turned 13 this month. Her poor hips are going to be here downfall I think..such a sweet girl..
The horse got her pedi done..
I returned the kitty I was kittysitting to the ranch up the road. They made it home finally and all is well..
I visited with some lady friends upon returning Hooches girlfriend back home too..
other than that I didn't get anything else done today that I wanted to ..but it was a chill day. It rained well most of the day so unless I wanted to do stuff in the rain , which I didn't , I didn't get much done.
Oh I made awesome chicken noodle soup this week for lunches..it turned out so good! Im baking beets on the wood stove now too..I love beets..

@Spikedriver yes I know what you are talking about :) . As a late teen and having be surrounded by gay friends I (straight) and my sisters (also straight) decided to go to a gay bar with our friends just to see what it was like. Immediately I walked in I saw a big truckie style built guy (transvestite) wearing exactly the same outfit as me on the night except his outfit was equipped with a lovely matching feather boa :) . We commented to each other how we both had good taste and I liked his feather boa and told him it was a nice touch.

Proceeding this I decided to go to the toilet and a large butch lesbian proceeded to follow me in to the facilities. Thinking nothing of it I went into the cubicle to do what you usually do and noticed the woman crawling under the cubicle door o_O . I quickly realised I was being persued and put my clothing quickly on and started sliding under the toilet cubicle walls which had a gap underneath thinking she would have been too large to persue me, sadly I was wrong  . I quickly got out from under the last toilet cubicle which I made it to first and bolted for the door with her in hot persuit but fortunately a slower runner than me. In desperation I grabbed and wrapped my arms around the nearest straight looking gay guy and said "oh there you are honey I was looking for you' and whispered in his ear I am straight and being persued by a large butch lesbian, help me and pretend you are my boyfriend which he did. She did go away after saying "oh you are straight" and I said yes I was there with fellow gay friends. I purchased my lovely gay man friend who saved me a couple of rounds of drinks as a way to thank him.

Strangely I have never been back to a gay bar ever again. Quite frankly I have never seen such a huge muscular woman as she was and never want to see another again. The only exception was the lesbian I hired for my wrecking yard who was about the same size years later who could pick up a whole V8 engine out of a car without the use of a block and tackle. Scary stuff to watch but the other 18 guys soon learnt a level of respect and worked with her well :D .

According to my Neurologist for seizures, there are 6 catagories of seizures.
I received a head injury in 2009 as a result the seizures are a part of my life now.
Mine are kinda like Epsilsey but different.
Most of the time if you don't know what to look for you would never know I'm having them.
They had me on seizure medicine for awhile that the number 1 side effect was seizures.
We couldn't tell if I was having them naturally or if the medicine was inducing them.
Medicine was inducing them, quit taking medicine, seizures diminshed somewhat.
Don't have electrical seizures often but when I do, I just stay home for a few days.
Appetite changes, sleep when I have those.
All seizures can be life threatening, but are somewhat controlled now.
As for the microwave it was dying anyway, it was over 20 years old.
I was trying to change the fuse when we arced.
Have been cleared by doctors to drive, travel, live life like everybody else.
It's all good.
Most of the time I can taste the good size seizure before it hits and take preventive actions.
Certain scents, bother me more than others.
Sometime I see aura, depending on the color again I take preventive action for injuries.

Apartment inspection is over.
I passed.
Just sitting here drinking coffee.
They walked into neighbors apartment they had rang the doorbell.
But neighbors couldn't hear it over the screaming match they were having.
I was placing my pictures back on the wall when they got to my apartment.
Now maybe something will be done about my neighbors, doubtful though.
Two more families are in the process of moving out this week.
Hopefully I will be moving too soon enough.
Cutting spending to bare bones for the next several months so I can get out of here sooner.
I have food, medicine, Strawberry's needs met.
Everybody have a wonderful day.

Rainy day here today so just getting some cleaning done. Stripped the bed and washed the mattress cover, blanket and quilt. And the sheets lol
Vacuum sealed another 5lbs of flour and put it in the freezer for a week
Have pork chops in the crockpot
Did up the dishes for now ( my breakfast and lunch)
Just gonna read some more PAW fiction and listen to the radio in a bit
Have to go down and check the mail later

Do they have the dog on anything for her hips? We've used cortaflex and now moringa on our older dogs.

+1 on this. Even using good quality dog food with glucosamine can help a lot. After my dog got hit by a car his shoulder was dislocated and he had joint trouble in it for the rest of his life. Glucosamine dog food did make a difference.

I am curious if this was a service related injury?

I do not have seizures, but scents and perfumes really bother me. They are a migraine trigger. I am so glad that perfume is not as popular as it used to be. Old Spice is one of the worst scents out there for a migraine trigger.

Allergies and asthma too. Scents really set me off.

Yes

There is so much fraternizing in our state's schools, it's ridiculous. Lots of coaches, too.
My guess is that there is much more than is ever reported. A priest in South Dakota was recently on a list of known pedophiles. One of my cousins was an altar boy during his time in their parish. Cousin says the guy was a mean person, physically pushing people around. I didn't ask for details, but my guess is that cousin had some insight into the man's behavior.

Understand fully @MoBookworm1957 I also have seizures from a head injury I sustained and have ABI (acquired brain injury) which is probably what you have. To explain to others a section of the brain is damaged which stops the normal brain activity travelling in it's usual path and you kind of short circuit and have seizures. These can graduate from mild seizures to full blown what most people know as epileptic seizures.

Gradually over time as in my case the brain rewires itself around the damaged area and the brain messages travel a different not obstructed path and the fits or seizures become less severe but they still happen. Because of this I am unable to play computer games as sudden movement or sudden flashing of lights will set me off into a seizure. I only now have petit mal (or the mildest ones) where I will be talking and the brain shuts down my speech for a few seconds and then I continue or it affects my motor skills and I start dropping and throwing things. If I do not get away from the flashing lights in time I will have a grand mal (most severe) seizure. Flickering fluro lights will also cause a seizure.

I like MoBookworm took myself off the medication as it gave me more fits than if I was off it.

The solution is to try and stay away from things that you know are triggers for your seizures. For each person this can be different depending on which part of the brain is affected.

I am also cleared to drive as I have not had a grand mal seizure in over 7 years but I am aware of my triggers and avoid them well.

@Hooch another thing that will help the dog is fish oil. Fish oil squeezed in their food will help with their joint lubrication and their mental alertness as they get older (dog alzheimers). You can get natural fish oil capsules in the health food and vitamin stores and just break a few capsules over their food. Glucosamine also helps.

That's pretty much me and my seizures.
The kind of seizures I have has four stages
Most of the time I'm in stage 1 or 2, sometimes I hit 3 but not usually.
Scents that bother me the most is Ecluptus, Gardenia, Musk perfume and cologne.
When I'm having larger stage of seizure I get angry.
That's frustrating, cause am pretty mellow most of the time.
Have come along way since orginal injury.
Pretty much had to relearn everything, simple things like tying your shoes, getting dressed.
Still practice daily walking a 1 inch balance beam made it into flower bed so it was more stable for me to walk. Still do brain exercises everyday, Had to relearn to cook most everything.
They say my memory will come back eventually.
I now remember my sons childhoods, parts of my childhood, part of my military career, some friends over the years.
Not sure I want to remember the incident that caused the seizures or the immediate memories afterwards. Spelling is now hard for me, putting together thoughts and sentences are sometimes hard.

@MoBookworm1957 I also have auras and know when a seizure is coming on which is good as you have prior warning.
And I have Strawberry she has been trained as my seizure dog.
She stays right by my side when I'm having seizures.
If I am having larger seizure, her behavior changes too.
She whimpers, snuggles as close to me as she can get.
My seizures don't usually last very long a couple of minutes.
Sometimes I am having conversation, just stop talking, stare off into space.
In few minutes pick conservation right back up where I stop talking at.
It's like my brain froze for a few minutes it needed to rest for a bit.

@MoBookworm1957 I also had to relearn a lot of things and couldn't even get a cup to my mouth without spilling it my hand shakes were so bad and things like sewing were a near on impossibility. I persevered and took up gardening and set up market gardens, I forced myself to sew again which increased my motor skills, I no longer shake violently but still do occasionally mildly if a I am in a seizure.

Brain exercises and forcing yourself to do things that you find hard will eventually build up muscle and brain memory and you will find those tasks easier and easier the more practice you have.

My fine motor skills are still not what most people's are but I force myself to do those things and am getting better.

I hope you have similar success. Personally I have been dealing with my injuries for about 15 years and the last scan I had clearly showed that my brain had rewired itself around the injured site. Still though sometimes my brain patterns and stimuli will travel the wrong path and I have a wobbly.

I wish you continued success too.
when I was relearning things, they tried to make me right handed.
Didn't work, I am still a lefty.
It will be 10 years for me in September that I am regrouping from my injuries.
If you want to scare the bee jiggers out of an Orthopedic Surgeon, and Antigelosit (gas guy), don't remind them that you suffer from seizures. I reminded them when had my left knee replaced, had seizure in middle of replacement. Now they listen more closely.
